Abstract

Digital libraries are emerging as a significant way to solve the problem of information accessibility and the demand for current and relevant knowledge in a rapidly changing information age. The website of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra was chosen as a research topic because of its strategic significance in providing students, instructors, and university personnel with broad access to digital collections, library services, and academic materials. Researchers can collect and examine data from various sources related to research problems by using systematic literature reviews as their research approach. The website of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra has contributed significantly to improving information accessibility, making digital collections more widely available, and improving overall library services, according to the findings of a literature review analysis.

Abstract

In the ever-growing digital era, data information management is crucial in ensuring optimal service quality in various sectors. This journal presents an overview of strategies and approaches to optimize data information management to improve service quality in the digital era. The concept of data information management involves the process of collecting, storing, processing and analyzing data to support appropriate decision making. Challenges faced in managing data information in the digital era include large data volumes, technological complexity, data security, and changes in regulations related to privacy. To overcome these challenges, organizations need to implement appropriate strategies, such as investing in advanced technology infrastructure, developing adequate policies and procedures, training to increase data literacy, and implementing effective risk management practices. Technology solutions such as big data analytics, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence (AI) can be utilized to improve data information management. Case studies from various organizations also provide concrete examples of successful implementation of technology strategies and solutions. By utilizing existing information technology, organizations can improve efficiency, accuracy and data accessibility, so they are able to provide better services to users in this digital era.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, data and information management is becoming increasingly crucial to the success of businesses, including the automotive industry which faces major challenges in managing spare parts inventory. Efficiency in data collection and parts management is critical to ensure the availability of the right parts at the right time, reduce downtime, and improve customer satisfaction. This article introduces a Web-based Project Management Information System for Motorcycle Parts Logging as an innovative solution to meet these needs. The system is designed to facilitate the process of collecting spare parts data from procurement, storage, to distribution. By utilizing web-based technology, this system offers wider accessibility, facilitates real-time monitoring, and allows integration with various other systems.This research uses the waterfall method which includes the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system consists of two main layers: Presentation Layer and Data Layer. The implementation results show that this system can meet the needs of end users, such as automotive workshops and companies, in terms of data collection and management of spare parts. System testing shows that the system works according to the specified specifications. This article also discusses the benefits and advantages that can be obtained from implementing this system, challenges that may be faced during the implementation process, as well as the potential for further development. With this system, it is hoped that the automotive industry can improve operational efficiency and provide better service to customers.

Abstract

The design of the Cash Direct Transfer (BLT) Data Collection Information System at the Asahan District Social Office aims to improve efficiency and accuracy in the distribution of social assistance. This system is designed to address the problems of data errors, duplication, and delays in aid delivery. Through a comprehensive approach, from needs analysis to implementation and evaluation, the system integrates the collection, processing, and monitoring of beneficiary data. As a result, this information system is able to support the principles of good governance by increasing transparency and accountability. Training for Social Service officers and the key to successful implementation is to have support from many parties.. This system not only facilitates the management of social assistance in Asahan Regency but also has the capacity to serve as a model for additional locations., thus contributing significantly to improving community welfare and poverty alleviation.

Abstract

The digital era has changed the techniques and management in producing and selling goods and services. Electronic commerce or often referred to as e-commerce is one of the trading systems applied through the internet network. In recent years, especially since the pandemic has changed the way we socialize, interact, and do business so that new innovations have emerged with the internet/online trading system. Currently, many people use the e-commerce system, especially small traders, because they get more satisfying and economical benefits in several aspects. Starting from saving time to minimal capital spent in addition to being a trading medium, e-commerce also participates in opening cooperation between traders, customer service and job vacancies. Now e-commerce continues to grow which has resulted in significant changes to the business world economy. In 2022, Bank Indonesia reported that e-commerce transactions reached Rp476.3 trillion, showing a growth of 18.8% compared to the previous year. This is a sign that e-commerce brings good effectiveness to the development of trade through digital systems.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Manajemen Proyek Berbasis Web Pendataan Pembayaran Zakat adalah sebuah sistem yang dirancang untuk memudahkan pengelolaan zakat melalui platform online. Sistem ini dilengkapi dengan fitur-fitur seperti penginputan data zakat yang efektif dan efisien, tampilan riwayat kegiatan zakat, fitur chat langsung untuk komunikasi muzakki dan pihak yayasan, serta sistem keamanan yang baik untuk menghindari kejahatan di dunia maya (cyber crime). Sistem ini diharapkan dapat menjadi sarana efektif dan efisien dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengelolaan zakat dan memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat. Dengan menggunakan teknologi web dan internet, sistem ini dapat diakses kapan saja dan di mana saja, sehingga mempermudah masyarakat dalam melaksanakan pembayaran zakat dan memantau perkembangan data zakat.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the gardening process at SMK Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar by utilizing information technology and information security through the implementation of an IoT Smart Garden system supported by fuzzy logic. The IoT Smart Garden system functions to monitor the garden's environmental conditions in real-time, including parameters such as soil moisture, temperature, and light intensity. By utilizing sensor technology, the collected data is sent to a cloud-based platform for analysis and processing. Fuzzy logic is used to process the received data, allowing the system to provide more adaptive and intelligent recommendations and automated actions, such as automatically watering plants when soil moisture falls below a certain threshold. This approach not only increases gardening efficiency but also reduces human error in plant care. Additionally, information security is a critical focus in this study to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the data collected and processed by the IoT system. Various security protocols are implemented to protect the data from potential cyber threats and to ensure that the information generated is reliable. The results of the study show that the use of IoT technology and fuzzy logic significantly enhances productivity and efficiency in gardening activities at SMK Swasta Teladan Pematangsiantar. This system also provides additional benefits such as water and time savings, as well as improved plant quality. Therefore, the implementation of information technology and information security in this IoT-based gardening system can serve as a model for other educational institutions looking to adopt similar technology for their agricultural activities

Abstract

This research aims to audit the North Sumatra State Islamic University (UINSU) library information system using the COBIT 5 framework, focusing on the Deliver, Service, and Support (DSS) domain. The audit process emphasizes Manage Operations (DSS01), Manage Service Requests and Incidents (DSS02), Manage Problems (DSS03), and Manage Continuity (DSS04). The audit results show that the capability level in the DSS domain has reached level 4 (predictable process), with a GAP of 1.60 from the expected level. The recommendations provided include increasing awareness and promoting the benefits of library websites, further optimization in handling service requests and incidents, evaluating menus and information searches, as well as improving visual design and display consistency. Implementation of these recommendations is expected to increase the level of capability of the UINSU library and provide better services to its users.
