Abstract

Information security has become a major concern for organizations in today's digital era. In the context of management information systems (MIS), information security challenges are increasingly complex with increasing cyber threats. This research aims to analyze the main challenges in maintaining information security in MIS and present effective solutions in facing the cybersecurity era. Through a literature and case study approach, we identify common vulnerabilities, attack methods used by attackers, and solutions and best practices that organizations can implement to improve information security in MIS. The results of this research provide valuable insights for practitioners and decision makers in managing information security risks in an ever-changing business environment.

Abstract

This research aims to briefly explain the urgency of using management information systems in marketing a product or service. This research uses qualitative methods with a library research approach. The research results show that the application of information technology for marketing needs is very important because it can significantly increase the options available to companies and plays an important role in the effective implementation of each element of marketing strategy, can influence the marketing strategy development process because information technology provides more things and information to managers through the use of decision-making systems, information technology has the ability to integrate various different parts of the organization and provide a lot of information to managers, and information technology also influences the organization's interface with the environment.

Abstract

Digital transformation is technology-induced change at many levels in an organization that includes the exploitation of digital technologies to improve existing processes, and the exploration of digital innovation, which has the potential to change business models. Business intelligence consists of the use of various tools and methods that enable and assist and organization in the collection of relevant data and information from internal and external sources. This research is a type of library research, namely research whose object of study uses library data in the form of books or scientific articles as the data source. The data collection techniques in this research are based on digital literacy from previous research. The data analysis technique in this research was carried out by reading, reviewing and analyzing various existing literature. Business intelligence can provide enormous benefits for business organizations to increase the effectiveness of business intelligence. The Internet of Things is widely used in business intelligence processes to make strategic decisions and make effective plans. Internet of things allows employees working in an organization to connect to multiple devices operating on the same network.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital age, information technology has become a key component in various aspects of life, including the education sector. One technology that shows great potential is chatbot, a computer program designed to simulate human conversation. This research aims to develop a simple chatbot that can provide academic information to the community, using the Python programming language and the Flask framework. This chatbot utilizes Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology to understand and respond to user questions. The results show that the chatbot developed by Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara (UINSU) can improve accessibility and efficiency in the dissemination of academic information. With further improvements in language understanding capabilities and integration with more comprehensive academic databases, this chatbot has the potential to become a very useful tool in the academic environment. This research makes an important contribution in utilizing digital technology to improve educational services and user experience in accessing academic information.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of high-pass and low-pass filters on high-resolution images using MATLAB software. High-pass and low-pass filters are two basic techniques in image processing that have different functions. A high-pass filter is used to accentuate details and edges in an image, while a low-pass filter is used to smooth the image and reduce noise. This research covers the application of both types of filters on various high-resolution images, as well as the analysis of filter performance based on image quality metrics such as Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Mean Squared Error (MSE). The results show that the high-pass filter is effective in preserving edge details, but increases the noise level. In contrast, low-pass filters are effective in reducing noise, but may cause the loss of some important details in the image.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the threat of misuse of personal data as a result of the use of management information systems. This research uses qualitative research methods and library research. All scientific article data comes from Google Scholar and other online media and ranges from the last 5 years, namely 2020 to 2024. The research results show that data theft is usually carried out with the aim of seeking financial benefits, reputation, and so on. In dealing with misuse of technology, Indonesia does not yet have specific laws that regulate the protection of personal data in an integrated manner, however there are several laws and regulations that regulate personal data, such as Minister of Communication and Information Regulation No. 20 of 2016 concerning Protection of Personal Data in Electronic Systems and Law no. 24 of 2013 concerning Population Administration. Legal protection of consumer personal data takes the form of administrative sanctions for service providers who violate the provisions based on Article 36 Paragraph (1) of Minister of Communication and Information Regulation No. 20 of 2016 and criminal sanctions in accordance with the provisions of Article 95A of Law No. 24 of 2013.

Abstract

TikTok is a social media site that is becoming popular quickly. Developing the TikTok social media platform as a strategic tool for promotional media for Demonsnia Perfume. Demonsnia is a perfume shop that was founded in November 2020 and is located on Jl Pasundan no. 46 West Adiarsa. This research aims to analyze the power of EWOM for Demonsnia Parfum products carried out via TikTok social media. In an effort to increase product visibility and appeal, a creative approach to TikTok content has been implemented by utilizing unique trends and styles that suit the intended target market. However, the lack of human resources in creating promotional content is an obstacle for these MSMEs. This research uses a qualitative method with an interpretive descriptive research type that uses in-depth interview techniques and uses source triangulation techniques as a data collection method. This research used four informants, divided into three main informants and one expert informant. The research results illustrate that EWOM TikTok, which is viewed from the three dimensions described by Goyette, et.al, is suitable for the content stage and plays a big role in convincing generation Z to make purchasing decisions on Demonsnia Parfum products via TikTok social media.

Abstract

Management By Objective (MBO) to improve employee performance and employee career growth in achieving the company's objectives, assessment of the entire employee's performance in a company with objective assessment by employees in the automotive company in the caravan itself using the MBO. The aim is to understand the performance assessment with the management by objective (MBO) in the Automotive Company in Karawang and understand the effectiveness of work by using the method of MBO in the automobile enterprise at Karawang the process of determining the human resource needs, which means meeting those needs with the needs of the organization so that its implementation is integrated with the organization's plan. The method is conducted with interviews, surveys, and observations to employees of the automotive company in Karawang. The data collected is using modified questionnaires and verified interviews conducted to 6 employees. The results and interpretation are good because more than 80% of MBOs are effective for the company based on employee interviews already conducted at the automotive company in Karawang.

Abstract

Organizational culture is important in the company, a good organizational culture will help achieve organizational goals. The purpose of this research is to explain the implementation of Organizational Culture in management, innovation, attention to detail, people orientation, team orientation, speed and responsiveness. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, this research also involves interviews and observations. The interviewees in this study involved 5 employees at the research location at Sempoa SIP Resinda Race. The results of this study are that the company accepts well the ideas given by employees, the company lacks attention to detail in its work, in this company employee welfare needs to be considered so that productivity increases, teamwork carried out needs to be improved again, speed and responsiveness carried out by employees are quite good.

Abstract

Noise reduction in digital images is one of the main challenges in image processing. Noise can be caused by various factors such as camera sensors, environmental conditions, and data compression. Adaptive filters have become an effective method to reduce noise without sacrificing important details in the image. This study aims to evaluate the performance of different types of adaptive filters, including Adaptive Median Filter, Wiener Filter, and Anisotropic Diffusion Filter, in reducing Gaussian noise, salt-and-pepper noise, and speckle noise. The experimental results show that the Adaptive Median Filter is very effective for reducing salt-and-pepper noise, while the Wiener Filter gives the best results for Gaussian noise and speckle noise. The Anisotropic Diffusion Filter shows balanced performance for all types of noise with satisfactory visual results. Although adaptive filters have higher computational complexity, the gains in image quality make them feasible for applications that require high-quality results. This research confirms the great potential of adaptive filters in improving digital image quality and provides recommendations for practical applications in various fields.
