Abstract

The advancement of technology necessitates the IT unit to have an efficient mechanism for reporting discrepancies needed in the work environment. This research aims to design and develop a web-based Information System for IT Damage Complaints as a reporting medium that enhances transparency, accessibility, and effectiveness in managing and tracking necessary repairs for RSI Surabaya A Yani. The system development methodology used is the Waterfall model, involving stages such as needs analysis, system design, code programming, testing, and maintenance. Integrated features include the recording of damage complaint letters, monitoring repair status, managing repair history, and evaluating the effectiveness of repairs. Additionally, the system is equipped with an automated notification mechanism to inform stakeholders about the progress of repairs. The results of the system testing indicate that the implementation of this web-based IT Damage Complaint System facilitates the reporting process more efficiently and enhances information accessibility related to system repairs at RSI Surabaya A Yani. This is based on survey results filled out by system Users, showing values ranging from 81.33% to 91.33% with an indicator of excellent. This research provides practical contributions to improving web-based IT damage complaint management. The implications of this study can assist the IT unit in managing the reporting and repair processes effectively.

Abstract

Hotel XYZ is a hotel in the city of Padang which operates in the accommodation and restaurant sector. With the arrival of the holy month of Ramadhan, usually every hotel always offers attractive promotions, especially at breaking the fast together at the hotel. Breaking the fast together has become a routine tradition every Ramadan by community agencies, families and sometimes even individuals breaking the fast outside the home. The Marketing Department is a department that has the function and task of promoting hotels, especially during fast breaking events at hotels during the month of Ramadan. The Marketing Department has a very important role and function in the Hotel, so an information dashboard is really needed that can display Performance Reports and Graphs from the Marketing Department. Using Looker Studio Visualization and Google Form as Input for Iftar Reservations can speed up the information process, decisions and measure performance.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has affected various fields of life and professions, including the legal field. Mangatas Nasution SH Notary Office is one of the notary offices that still uses a manual transaction recording system. This creates several challenges, such as a slow and inefficient recording process, a high risk of human error, and transaction data that is not centralized and at risk of being lost. This research aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the receipt transaction recording process at the Mangatas Nasution SH Notary Office. The methods used in this research are R&D and waterfall methods. The results showed that the developed receipt information system can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the process of recording receipt transactions at the Mangatas Nasution SH Notary Office. This system can reduce the time and effort required to make receipts, reduce the risk of human error, and maintain transaction data security. With the receipt information system, the Mangatas Nasution SH Notary Office can improve overall performance and provide better service to clients.

Abstract

The Medan Class A Search and Rescue Office is a technical implementation unit tasked with carrying out search and rescue (SAR) operations in the North Sumatra region. In the Medan Class A Search and Rescue Office, the relationship between budgets and documents is closely related because documents are often used as a tool to record, track and present information. These documents assist the Medan Class A Search and Rescue Office in monitoring, evaluating and making decisions related to search and rescue operations. The document is an important reference to ensure transparency, accountability and efficiency of budget management in accordance with policies and community needs. The existence of documents is usually important because they record or record information that can be accessed and used as a reference in the future. Document management within the Medan Class A Search and Rescue Office still faces several obstacles, including manual processes that are vulnerable to human error, the time required to search for documents, and the risk of loss or damage to documents. Seeing this problem, a new system is needed that utilizes technology in the current era to deal with several obstacles related to document management. The aim is to design and implement a web-based document archiving information system at the Medan Class A Search and Rescue Office to increase efficiency, security and readability of information in document management. This system was built by modeling several UML diagrams such as use case diagrams and activity diagrams. It is hoped that the Medan Class A Search and Rescue Office can optimize document management performance and make a positive contribution to improving service quality and transparency within government agencies.

Abstract

Currently the use of technology in the dissemination of information is very important for organizations or agencies. An information system is currently very supportive of activities for organizations or agencies which will then be processed again to be more useful for users of the information system itself. The Ar-Rahman Drug Rehabilitation Center itself is a rehabilitation center for drug addicts. to support their work, the staff at the Ar Rahman Drug Rehabilitation Center are currently using the facilities available there. One of them records the client's drug stock. At present the problems found at the Ar Rahman Narcotics rehabilitation center are: recording is still done manually, namely by recording which items must be recorded in stock. From these reasons, it is very necessary to build a Client Drug Stock Information System Design at the Ar Rahman Drug Rehabilitation Center which functions to record what assets are already owned which were previously recorded manually in the future to be digital. In the design it will use dfd and erd while the database uses waterfall. The expected results are a client drug stock system design that will be implemented in . Ar-Rahman Drug Rehabilitation Center and can be used as a basis for developers to create a drug stock system. Ar-Rahman Drug Rehabilitation Center.

Abstract

Web server is software that provides web services, web server using a protocol called HTTP. While the proxy server is a program that receives request from clients, such as a web browser or FTP client, and then forwards the request to the destination internet server. Through this proxy server, the client feels as though directly interact with the target’s internet server, or visited. The operating system used on the server in the form of Centos 5.6 which will serve as a proxy server and web server. Existing network at SMTI Padang is the network that has not been well managed. As internet access is slow due to the activities clients who often do excessive downloading. Whith the building of a proxy is solution of the problem that occurred in SMTI Padang.

Abstract

Almost all areas of life use the internet network as a support for work and a medium for exchanging information. Bandwidth problems are the most frequently encountered problems in computer network technology. The lack of available bandwidth capacity has a big impact on the speed of access to the internet. The Office of the Governor of North Sumatra is a government office under the central government of the Republic of Indonesia which is located in the capital of North Sumatra Province, namely Medan City and is tasked with accommodating administrative activities carried out by the Governor and his deputies along with the regional secretariat in carrying out their duties to serve the people of North Sumatra and in connection with the central government. . The aim of this research is to optimize network access with bandwidth management using a microtic approach at the office of the Governor of North Sumatra to ensure easy and fast access to exchange information between agencies in North Sumatra and between the office of the Governor of North Sumatra and the Central Government. This research began by determining the problems associated with the use of local networks in the North Sumatra governor's office. Problem identification is carried out by understanding the needs and challenges that arise in managing internet access in the agency, especially related to constraints on the local network and uncontrolled external networks. From the trial results of bandwidth management using the Mikrotik approach at the office of the Governor of North Sumatra, it can be concluded that bandwidth management using the Mikrotik approach was successful. Bandwidth Limiter testing using the PRTG Bandwidth Network test application resulted in the highest download bandwidth at 11693 Kbit/s.

Abstract

In the digital age, education data management is crucial. This article highlights the need for a modern and integrated diploma archiving system to improve efficiency, security and accessibility of information. Many educational institutions still use outdated archiving systems. The risk of data corruption or loss, inaccuracies and data duplication are also problems that arise due to outdated archiving systems. The research methodology uses UML for design. The software development method uses the waterfall approach. The results of this study include a needs analysis, usecase diagram, and system flowchart that produce a website-based document archive system.

Abstract

Bandwidth capacity management is one of the important aspects in computer network management, especially in the context of local government agencies that rely on online services. Adequate bandwidth capacity is required to provide unhindered public services, provide quick access to information that supports decision-making, and adapt to dynamic growth. This study aims to optimize network access capacity at the North Sumatra Governor's Office by identifying ways to improve the efficiency of bandwidth capacity usage in supporting government communication services. This research uses a mikrotik approach to regulate data traffic paths and optimize the use of network resources. The results showed that proper bandwidth management can increase network access speed and reduce data traffic congestion. This has a positive impact on the quality of government communication services, such as the ease and speed of information exchange between agencies in North Sumatra and between the North Sumatra Governor's Office and the Central Government.

Abstract

The implementation of management information systems based on cloud computing technology has become a topic of interest in the context of small and medium-sized enterprises. This article aims to evaluate the implementation of management information systems based on cloud computing technology in small and medium-sized enterprises, highlighting the associated benefits, challenges and opportunities. Through a literature review, we identify the experiences of small and medium-sized enterprises that have adopted cloud-based management information systems and their impact on operational efficiency, flexibility, data security, and competitive advantage. We also considered factors that influence implementation success, such as cost, technical expertise, and organizational readiness. By conducting this evaluation of cloud computing information systems, it is expected to identify problems that hinder the implementation of cloud computing in small and medium-sized enterprises. The article concludes by providing practical advice for small and medium-sized enterprises that are considering or are in the process of implementing cloud-based management information systems, as well as providing guidance for further research in this area.
