Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of community participation in the management of the Mantikole Hot Springs tourist attraction and identify the factors that influence it, with the background of the need for local community involvement to ensure the sustainability and benefits of tourism management for the surrounding community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation, with inductive data analysis based on the theory of community participation which includes levels, forms, and factors that influence participation. The results of the study indicate that community participation in the tourist attraction includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of management, while the factors that influence it consist of internal factors (individual characteristics) and external factors (government policies, leadership, and communication). The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need to increase community capacity and synergy between the community, government, and other stakeholders to encourage more effective participation in tourism management.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the leading industries proliferating in the world today. This increase has the potential to reduce the unemployment rate. The purpose of this research is to create a SWOT analysis to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the Tourism Study Program as well as take advantage of marketing opportunities and overcome threats to the Higher Education business environment. Identify the dominant factors that make students interested in enrolling in the Tourism Study Program. Combining the results of SWOT analysis and factor analysis to develop a holistic marketing strategy for the Tourism Study Program. The method in this research uses the EFAS (External Factors Analysis Summary) and IFAS (Internal Factors Analysis Summary) matrices. The test tool in this research is the Cochran Q Test. The results of data processing can conclude that 5 attributes form factors of prospective students' interest in the Tourism Study Program. Namely, Ease of getting a job, Learn Digital Tourism Applications, In line with tourism developments, Deepening tourism knowledge, and Combination of gastronomy, management, and technology. Based on the results of this factor analysis, the Marketing Bureau at IIB Darmajaya can design a marketing campaign that focuses on the 5 attributes that have been identified. Apart from that, the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the Tourism Study Program have also been identified while maintaining the quality of the curriculum, human resources, and infrastructure in line with current developments.

Abstract

Vietnam's closure of international flight access has caused Ho Chi Minh's tourism numbers to plummet. In 2020, when COVID-19 broke out, Ho Chi Minh's international visitors dropped from 8.6 million to 1.3 million before Vietnam finally closed international flight access, which made Ho Chi Minh's international visitation rate zero in 2021. Therefore, to recover the tourism sector, the Vietnamese government is transforming its tourism strategy to become more digital to adapt to the pandemic. This paper discusses the Vietnamese government's digital transformation strategy for restoring Ho Chi Minh's international tourism sector after the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative with a secondary data collection method through a literature review of credible sources such as books, articles, journals, and official websites. The Vietnamese government realizes the importance of digital transformation in the tourism industry to adapt to the Covid-19 global pandemic. The Vietnamese government recognizes the importance of digital transformation in the tourism industry in adapting to the global Covid-19 pandemic. The Vietnamese government has aggressively pursued digital transformation for tourism in Ho Chi Minh City since 2020 and will continue until 2024.

Rural tourism is a form of tourism that is increasingly attractive and is becoming a world trend that can achieve government goals in encouraging regional development and people's welfare. Pramuka Island is one of the tourist destinations that has a high level of visits and is one of the tourist villages included in the Kemenparekraf program which is in the pilot category. This study aims to map the potential of tourist villages on Pramuka Island, Seribu Islands with three categories, namely attractions, amenities, and accessibility. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a spatial approach, this study utilizes primary data from field observations, as well as secondary data from literature studies on the internet. Identification of the potential of tourist villages begins with mapping using QGIS software which produces a map of attractions, amenities, and accessibility of Pramuka Island Tourism Village. This study resulted in the identification of the potential of Pramuka Island Tourism Village based on the three categories. In the attraction category, Pramuka Island as a Tourism Village has various types of tourist attractions such as marine tourism, educational tourism for planting mangrove seedlings and coral transplantation, and the beauty of the sunrise beach. Based on the amenity category, there are 18 accommodations and 14 supporting facilities for tourism activities. Abstract

Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark (CPUGGp) is the only geopark in West Java that features geotourism attractions, including waterfalls, coastal geosites, and unique geological phenomena. However, the optimization of information dissemination through the official website (ciletuhpalabuhanratugeopark.id) remains suboptimal, making the region's attractions less well-known. This research aims to design informative content for the CPUGGp website to optimize the existing official website. The approach combines the Design Thinking and Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) methods. Design Thinking is applied to understand user needs through the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing, while MDLC is used to design and implement the website prototype through six stages: concept, design, material collecting, assembly, black box testing, and distribution. The integration of these two methods allows the research to produce a user-centered, multimedia-based technological solution.
