Abstract

The rapid increase in TikTok users until 2025 has encouraged tourism industry players in Magelang Regency to adopt more interactive and viral communication strategies to build closeness with consumers. This study aims to examine the effect of influencer marketing and content marketing on customer engagement with viral marketing as a mediating variable in the tourism industry in Magelang Regency. This study uses quantitative methods and PLS-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data were collected through questionnaires from 230 tourists in five tourist destinations in Magelang Regency, which were selected using convenience sampling. The analysis was conducted using PLS software to confirm the suitability of the empirical model and the relationship between the research variables. The results show that both digital marketing strategies have a positive and significant effect on customer engagement, both directly and through viral marketing. Viral marketing has been proven to be a mediator that strengthens the relationship between digital marketing strategies and customer engagement. The research model explains 61% of the variability in customer engagement, confirming that content virality is a strategic mechanism in enhancing the effectiveness of digital marketing in the 5.0 era. These findings imply that optimizing influencer collaboration and content quality is crucial for driving sustainable tourist engagement.

Abstract

The Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Center (BKHIT) Maluku plays an important role in preserving biodiversity and supporting agricultural commodity trade in Maluku Province. This article examines the implementation of strategic management at BKHIT Maluku through a systematic literature review from 2020 to 2026. Data were collected from scientific journals, policy documents, and official reports through four stages, namely identification and screening of relevant sources in academic databases; selection of materials related to strategic management in public organizations and island governance; thematic analysis to discover recurring patterns, strategies, and trends; and development of an analytical framework based on strategic management theories including Resource Based View, Stakeholder Theory, Balanced Scorecard, Dynamic Capabilities, and Public Service Motivation adapted to BKHIT Maluku's conditions. The results indicate that BKHIT Maluku faces a complex strategic situation with high biodiversity as a strength, limited budget and infrastructure as weaknesses, digital transformation programs as opportunities, and climate change as threats. The proposed strategies include digital technology utilization, human resource development through blended learning, strengthening community-based surveillance, and cross-sectoral collaboration to achieve organizational objectives and overcome archipelago governance challenges.

Abstract

Sustainability practices are increasingly assessed by their ability to generate business value, particularly in service-based organizations whose performance depends on credibility and stakeholder trust. In ESG consulting firms, environmental and social initiatives may not directly translate into business outcomes unless they strengthen how stakeholders perceive the organization. This study examines the influence of Environmental Responsibility and Social Innovation on Business Performance, with Corporate Reputation as a mediating variable, at PT Olahkarsa Inovasi Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory design was applied using a census approach involving all 82 employees of the company. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that Environmental Responsibility does not have a direct effect on Business Performance, but significantly improves Corporate Reputation. Social Innovation has a significant positive effect on both Corporate Reputation and Business Performance. Corporate Reputation also significantly affects Business Performance and mediates the relationships between Environmental Responsibility, Social Innovation, and Business Performance. These findings indicate that sustainability initiatives create business value when they are recognized by stakeholders as credible organizational commitments. For ESG consulting firms, reputation serves as a strategic mechanism that connects sustainability practices with business performance through trust, legitimacy, and perceived organizational reliability.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of product quality, service quality, and brand image on repurchase intention, with trust as a mediating variable, in the business-to-business (B2B) oil and fats industry. The research was motivated by declining sales performance and increasing customer complaints at PT Multimas Nabati Asahan Serang despite the growth of Indonesia’s palm oil industry. Drawing on the Theory of Planned Behavior, this study proposes that operational and reputational factors shape customer trust and subsequently influence repurchase intention. A quantitative explanatory approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed. Data were collected from business customers and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that brand image significantly affects trust and repurchase intention, while product quality significantly influences repurchase intention. Trust also has a significant positive effect on repurchase intention. However, product quality and service quality do not significantly affect trust, and service quality does not significantly influence repurchase intention. Trust mediates the relationship between brand image and repurchase intention but does not mediate the effects of product quality or service quality. The findings highlight the importance of supplier credibility, reputation, and trust in strengthening customer retention in industrial markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of receivables turnover, inventory turnover, and liquidity on profitability with firm size as a moderating variable in food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2024 period. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the companies’ annual financial statements. The population consists of 44 companies, and purposive sampling is applied to obtain 16 companies as research samples over four years of observation, resulting in 64 data observations. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results indicate that receivables turnover has a positive and significant effect on profitability, suggesting that more effective receivables management enhances a company’s ability to generate profits. Inventory turnover does not have a significant effect on profitability, indicating that inventory efficiency does not directly contribute to profit improvement. Liquidity has a negative and significant effect on profitability, implying that excessively high liquidity may reduce the efficiency of asset utilization in generating profits. Furthermore, firm size is proven to moderate the relationship between receivables turnover and profitability as well as between liquidity and profitability, but it does not moderate the relationship between inventory turnover and profitability. This study is expected to provide practical implications for company management and investors in making decisions related to working capital management and financial performance.

Abstract

For type C hospitals that provide non-JKN services, measurable and transparent financial performance is an important foundation for ensuring effective management and operational sustainability. Financial reports not only reflect the economic condition of the organization, but also serve as an evaluation tool to assess service efficiency and growth opportunities. As health care institutions, hospitals are required to continuously improve service quality while optimizing their performance to meet the ever-evolving expectations of the community. This study aims to analyze the effect of operational cost budgets and revenue budgets on the financial performance of type C hospitals in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, both partially and simultaneously. The approach used is quantitative descriptive with a population of all type C hospitals in the province, both government and private. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 33 observation units from 11 hospitals in the 2021–2023 period. The data were analyzed using a panel data regression model. The results show that the operating budget has a positive and significant effect on financial performance partially, while the revenue budget does not show a significant effect partially. Simultaneously, the operating budget and revenue budget together affect hospital financial performance. The conclusion of this study confirms that effective operating budget management is a key factor in driving optimal financial performance, so hospitals need to prioritize operational spending efficiency as a strategy for continuous performance improvement.

Abstract

In the era of digital transformation, MSMEs are required to enhance business performance through the effective use of digital technologies. However, limited digital skills and inadequate human resource training remain major challenges for MSMEs. This study aims to address main research question concerning the role of digital skills and competency-based training in improving MSME performance based on empirical evidence. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA guidelines. Relevant articles were identified through a systematic search of the Scopus database covering the publication period from 2016 to 2026 and were subsequently screened using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The quality of the selected studies was assessed using the JBI Critical Appraisal Tools according to each study’s research design. Out of 226 identified articles, 11 studies met the selection and quality assessment criteria and were further analyzed using a narrative synthesis approach. The synthesis reveals that digital skills and competency-based training function as strategic human capital mechanisms that enhance MSME performance, particularly when training interventions are contextualized, practice-oriented, and supported by organizational readiness. Nevertheless, the existing evidence is largely dominated by cross-sectional study designs, which limits causal inference and the understanding of long-term impacts. This review concludes that digital competency development is a strategic factor for MSMEs and highlights the need for sustainable training approaches and integrated policy support.

Abstract

The quality of coffee green beans is one of the important factors that determine the quality of coffee products. However, in the production process, various types of defects are still found that can reduce the quality and selling value of the product. This study aims to analyze the quality control of Arabica coffee green beans at Kopi Bontugu Trawas, Mojokerto Regency using the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method. The study was conducted using a quantitative descriptive approach with primary data. Data analysis was carried out using check sheets, Pareto diagrams, control charts (p-chart), and fishbone diagrams. The results showed that out of a total production of 319,500 grams, 33,489 grams were defective, consisting of broken beans, beans with holes, black beans, wrinkled beans, and moldy beans. The Pareto diagram shows that broken bean defects are the dominant issue, contributing 51.5%, followed by hole defects at 38.7%, so these two types of defects make up 90.2% of total defects. The control chart results show that the production process is not yet statistically controlled because there are six points outside the control limits. The fishbone analysis indicates that broken bean defects are influenced by material, machine, and method factors. Improvement efforts that can be done include harvesting ripe coffee cherries, regular maintenance and adjustment of the huller machine, and controlling the drying process and moisture content of the coffee beans. This study shows that applying SPC can help identify the sources of defects and serve as a basis for improving green bean coffee quality.

Abstract

This article discusses Generation Z leadership models in addressing age inequality in multigenerational workplaces. Demographic shifts in the workforce have led organizations to bring together Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z in the same workspace. This situation can be a strength if managed inclusively, but it can also give rise to stereotypes, communication gaps, limited opportunities, and age-based discrimination. This article employs a qualitative approach using a narrative-conceptual literature review. Data were collected from journal articles, statistical reports, and relevant conceptual studies on Generation Z, inclusive leadership, adaptive leadership, digital leadership, ageism, and multigenerational workforce management. Data were collected from journal articles, statistical reports, and relevant conceptual studies on Generation Z, inclusive leadership, adaptive leadership, digital leadership, ageism, and multigenerational workforce management. The original contribution of this article lies in the development of the IKA-KPK-Based Gen Z Leadership Model as a conceptual framework that explicitly addresses ageism in the context of Indonesian organizations. This model combines seven components: inclusivity, two-way communication, technological adaptation, cross-generational collaboration, mutual learning, equal opportunity, and psychological safety. The findings of this study indicate that the model can help organizations view age not as a basis for superiority, but as a source of complementary experiences, perspectives, and knowledge. This article concludes that Generation Z leadership has the potential to reduce age inequality when implemented through organizational practices that are fair, participatory, competency-based, and open to further empirical validation
