Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Audit Knowledge and Organizational Commitment on Auditor Performance, with Good governance Understanding as a moderating variable in Public Accounting Firms (KAP) located in South Jakarta. The study was motivated by the importance of improving auditor performance to maintain audit quality and public trust in the public accounting profession. A quantitative research method with a survey approach was employed. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to auditors working in eight Public Accounting Firms in South Jakarta. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in 100 respondents consisting of junior auditors, senior auditors, and supervisors. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.1 software. The results indicate that Audit Knowledge has a positive and significant effect on Auditor Performance, Organizational Commitment has a positive and significant effect on Auditor Performance, and Good governance Understanding also has a positive and significant effect on Auditor Performance. The moderation analysis reveals that Good governance Understanding strengthens the relationship between Organizational Commitment and Auditor Performance. However, it does not moderate the relationship between Audit Knowledge and Auditor Performance. The findings suggest that enhancing audit knowledge, organizational commitment, and understanding of good governance principles are essential factors in improving auditor performance. Furthermore, the implementation of good governance principles can strengthen the positive influence of organizational commitment on auditor performance within Public Accounting Firms.

Abstract

The rapid growth of smartphone usage has increased consumer access to digital marketplaces such as Shopee, where AI recommendation systems are widely used to enhance user experience. However, the extent to which AI recommendation and UTAUT2 constructs influence consumer attitude and purchase intention in e-commerce remains insufficiently explored. This study aims to examine the role of AI recommendation (AIR), performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), and hedonic motivation (HM) in shaping consumer attitude (ATE) and purchase intention (ITP). This study employs a quantitative approach using survey data collected from 463 Shopee users in Indonesia. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM).The results show that AI recommendation, effort expectancy, and hedonic motivation positively influence consumer attitude, while performance expectancy has a significant negative effect. In addition, consumer attitude, AI recommendation, performance expectancy, and effort expectancy positively influence purchase intention, whereas hedonic motivation negatively affects purchase intention. These findings suggest that purchase intention is influenced not only by affective responses but also by functional evaluations of technology. This study contributes to the literature on AI recommendation and UTAUT2 in the e-commerce context and provides practical insights for optimizing AI-driven personalization strategies to improve consumer engagement and conversion.

Abstract

This study investigates the key drivers of stock returns-specifically profitability, leverage, B/M ratio and firm size within the Indonesian sharia capital market context. This research adopts a quantitative methodology and applies panel data regression analysis using Eviews 12. The study relies on secondary data collected from the official publications of the Indonesia Stock Exchange and Yahoo Finance. The sample includes 11 firms listed on the Jakarta Islamic Index during the 2021-2024 period, selected through a purposive sampling technique. Quarterly observations were used, yielding a total of 176 observation. The results reveal that profitability exerts a positive and statistically significant influence on sharia stock returns. Debt ratios and firm size were found to have no significant influence on sharia stocks returns. Meanwhile, the price-to-book ratio has a significant negative effect on the returns of sharia stocks. The study offers a new theoretical contribution demonstrating that profitability information is a highly relevant tool that also serves as a signal (good news/bad news) for sharia investors in making investment decisions. Conversely, that variables of leverage and firm size were found not to be primary determinants in predicting stock returns. Sharia investors tend to focus more on a company’s growth prospects than on its fundamental value. Furthermore, the low level of leverage indicates that the restrictions on interest-based debt in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) effectively reduce agency problems, so that changes in debt ratios are no longer a primary consideration in investment decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency and the factors that influence the choice of marketing channel for white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in Bangkalan Regency, East Java Province. Respondents in this study were 106 vaname shrimp farmers spread over five sub-districts. The method used in determining the choice of marketing channels in this research is binary regression analysis. The analysis of the efficiency of the vaname shrimp marketing channel uses operational efficiency indicators through the calculation of marketing margins, farmer's share and the ratio of profit to cost. The results of this study are that there are two patterns of white shrimp marketing channels, namely: (1) farmers - collectors outside the district - factories (2) farmers - sub-district collectors - retailers - consumers. According to the value of operational efficiency indicators, the most efficient marketing channel is the first channel, namely farmers - traders outside the district – factories. This channel has the lowest margin of 6 percent, the largest farmer's share of 90 percent and the ratio of profits to costs is evenly distributed in each institution that plays a role in marketing activities. Of the four factors that are thought to influence the choice of marketing channel for vaname shrimp, it is known that the explanatory variables that have a significant effect on the response variable are land area and selling price of vaname shrimp.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial literacy, financial inclusion, and financial technology (fintech) on the financial performance of MSMEs, with financial management behavior as the mediating variable. The study was conducted on MSMEs in the agricultural, culinary, and tourism sectors in Subang Regency, West Java. Adopting a quantitative explanatory approach, this study collected data from 250 purposively sampled respondents and analyzed it using SmartPLS 4's PLS-SEM. The results indicate that financial management behavior is significantly shaped by financial literacy (β = 0.513; p = 0.006) and, even more strongly, by financial inclusion (β = 0.681; p < 0.001), while financial technology shows no significant direct effect. Neither variable directly affects MSME financial performance in a practically meaningful way; however, financial management behavior is the dominant predictor of financial performance (β = 0.726; p < 0.001; R² = 0.614). Financial management behavior plays a significant mediating role in how financial literacy influences financial performance (0.481; p = 0.006) and the effect of financial inclusion on financial performance (0.549; p < 0.001), but not the effect of financial technology. These findings confirm that financial management behavior is the critical bridge between financial resources knowledge and access and actual business performance, supporting a knowledge behavior performance chain model for rural MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Mental health in the workplace has become an increasingly important issue due to rising work pressures and the growing dominance of Generation Z in the workforce. This study aims to analyze the leadership style of the owner of Waroeng Searah from a Generation Z perspective by integrating the concept of mental health first. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observations and interviews with the owner of Waroeng Searah and a senior employee. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the owner applies a transformational leadership style characterized by open communication, non-hierarchical relationships, employee involvement in decision-making, and the creation of a supportive and comfortable work environment. Furthermore, excessive work pressure was not identified, while employee turnover was primarily influenced by external factors. However, the implementation of mental health first has not yet been carried out systematically and proactively. These findings highlight the importance of integrating mental health first principles into leadership practices and human resource management, particularly within Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Abstract

This investigation was undertaken to scrutinize the degree to which transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and quality of work life collectively shape the manifestation of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among the workforce of PT FIFGROUP Sleman 1, Yogyakarta. OCB is conceptualized as discretionary conduct that emerges organically from employees, transcending their prescribed duties and yielding constructive outcomes for the broader organizational system. This investigation adopted a quantitative paradigm, encompassing the entire employee population as participants via a census-based sampling procedure. Primary data were gathered through a structured Likert-scaled instrument and subsequently subjected to multiple linear regression analysis utilizing SPSS computational software. Each measurement instrument demonstrated conformity with the requisite psychometric benchmarks of validity and reliability assessment. Analytical outcomes disclosed that transformational leadership failed to yield a statistically discernible effect on employee OCB. Conversely, organizational commitment exhibited a pronounced and affirmative influence on the surfacing of OCB among respondents. Notably, quality of work life distinguished itself as the predominant determinant within the examined set of predictors. In aggregate, the three predictors accounted for roughly one-third of the observable variance in OCB across the organizational setting. Drawing from these outcomes, organizational leadership is encouraged to concentrate on elevating work-life quality and consolidating employee dedication as the foundational pillars for cultivating enduring OCB tendencies.

Abstract

This study examines whether implementing a Gas Turbine Generator (GTG) on a Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) at the Maleo Field, operated by Supraco Lines, can create a competitive advantage. The research is driven by anticipated field development involving gas and condensate, presenting an opportunity to optimize internal energy resources and decrease reliance on diesel-based power generation. A qualitative case study methodology was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis. Six purposively selected informants contributed expertise in engineering, offshore installation management, departmental leadership, procurement, health, safety, and environment, and academic strategy. Data analysis involved coding, data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and source triangulation, guided by the Resource-Based View and VRIO framework. The results indicate that GTG implementation can create strategic value by reducing dependence on diesel logistics, enhancing operational reliability, lowering emissions, and increasing maintenance efficiency. The rarity of this advantage arises from the unique combination of GTG technology, gas-condensate availability, and offshore MOPU operational conditions. Barriers to imitation include platform constraints, technical modifications, safety requirements, and accumulated operational knowledge. Organizational support is demonstrated through cross-functional coordination, operator competence, adaptation of standard operating procedures, monitoring, maintenance planning, and risk governance. In summary, GTG represents a potential source of sustainable competitive advantage and supports adaptive offshore operations and a sustainability-oriented business strategy.

Abstract

This study investigates how Work-Life Balance (WLB) and Person-Job Fit (PJF) shape Affective Organizational Commitment (AOC), with Job Satisfaction (JS) positioned as a mediating mechanism, among Generation Z workers in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative survey design, this study gathered data from 100 respondents selected through purposive sampling, with SEM-PLS serving as the analytical framework implemented through SmartPLS 4.0. The findings reveal that WLB exerts no significant direct effect on either JS or AOC, whereas PJF demonstrates a strong positive and significant influence on both. JS positively and significantly predicts AOC and fully mediates the PJF–AOC relationship, but does not mediate the WLB–AOC path. These results underscore that alignment between individual capabilities and job demands constitutes a more decisive driver of affective commitment for Generation Z than Work-Life Balance alone. Practically, organizations are encouraged to embed person-job alignment considerations into recruitment, onboarding, and career development to cultivate sustained emotional attachment among Generation Z employees, while work-life balance initiatives should be implemented substantively and reinforced through consistent organizational culture.
