Abstract

The aesthetic clinic industry in Surabaya is characterized by intense competition, homogeneous treatment offerings, price-driven promotions, and growing customer expectations for transparent and personalized services. This study aimed to design and implement an innovation strategy grounded in Blue Ocean Strategy to create value innovation at Elmaskin Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Clinic. A descriptive qualitative approach with a project-based research design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving ten informants selected through purposive sampling, including representatives of management, doctors, nurses, customers, competitors, and aesthetic clinic industry expert. The data were analyzed using SWOT Analysis, Key Success Factors, Strategy Canvas, Four Actions Framework, and Six Paths Framework. The study developed the Elmaskin Transparent & Personalized Beauty Journey, which transforms conventional treatment transactions into a transparent, personalized, educational, and continuous care journey. The concept was operationalized through eight integrated strategies: brand positioning, personalized programs, treatment development, membership optimization, customer relationship management, information transparency, omnichannel marketing, and digitalization of forms. Initial implementation increased customer satisfaction from 82.2% to 94.3%, average returning-patient visits by 11.5%, and the number of new patients by 8.2%. Revenue in May 2026 was also 5.6% higher than the pre-implementation average. These findings suggest that information transparency, service personalization, and continuity across the customer journey can create a differentiated value curve in the aesthetic clinic industry.

Abstract

The government’s strategy to reduce the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia is to promote the cultivation of Inpari IR Nutrizinc rice, which has a high zinc content of 34.5 ppm. This study aims to analyze internal and external factors, develop alternative strategies, and determine priorities for the development of Inpari IR Nutrizinc rice. The study was conducted in Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province, involving 15 informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via questionnaires, field observations, and interviews, then analyzed using the IFE, EFE, IE, SWOT, and QSPM matrices. The analysis results indicate that the internal conditions of the farming business fall into the “very strong” category (IFE score of 2.59). In contrast, the external conditions fall into the “very supportive” category (EFE score of 3.39). The combination of these scores places the farming business in Cell II of the IE matrix, with strong external conditions and average internal conditions; therefore, the appropriate strategy is aggressive marketing to capitalize on existing opportunities. The SWOT matrix evaluation yielded six alternative strategies, which were then ranked using the QSPM: Strategy C (7.12), D (6.39), B (6.18), A (6.12), E (6.12), and F (5.98). Strategy C branding healthy rice to support the stunting reduction program ranked highest and was designated as the priority strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of financial behavior, self-control, and Digital Financial Knowledge Scale (DFKS) on the saving behavior of overseas students majoring in Management at Palangka Raya University. The research employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) samples were selected using a proportional stratified random sampling technique, yielding 171 respondents from a total population of 300 overseas students, and data were collected through a questionnaire employing a 1-5 Likert scale. The results indicate that financial behavior has a positive and significant effect on saving behavior, self-control, has the stronger influence on saving behavior and (DFKS) also demonstrate a positive and significant effect. The three variables simultaneously explain 80,4% of the variance in saving behavior (R2 = 0,804). These findings confirm the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework, where attitude (financial behavior) perceived behavioral control (self-control), and external supporting factor (Digital Financial Knowledge Scale) collectively contribute to actual saving behavior. This study recommends integrating personal financial management and digital financial literacy materials into the curriculum, as well as organizing regular seminars for overseas students.

Abstract

The high desire of employees to change jobs is a serious challenge for companies because it can disrupt operational smoothness and reduce productivity. The purpose of this research is to evaluate how skills and training affect employee turnover, using job satisfaction as an intermediary factor among full-time staff in the CLC operational division. A quantitative approach was applied by distributing Likert-scale questionnaires, using a technical census to all permanent employees of the operational division as respondents. The gathered information was analyzed utilizing a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method that focuses on Partial Least Squares (PLS), facilitated by the SmartPLS application. Employee desire to leave the company is often reduce by enhancing competence and offering effective training, according to findings. It has also been demonstrated that job satisfaction is crucial in bridging the gap between training and skill and a high turnover rate. This emphasizes the importance of placing employees according to competence and developing more systematic training programs to increase job satisfaction and reduce turnover rates. Therefore, CLC is recommend to incorporate continuous competence development and training as part of a long-term strategy for employee retention.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of leverage (Debt-to-Equity Ratio/DER), profitability (Return on Assets/ROA), rating, and the book-to-market ratio on the credit spread of corporate sukuk in the Indonesian primary market. The sample consists of 39 corporate sukuk and 10 sovereign sukuk issued through initial public offerings (IPOs) in the primary market and listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2018–2022 period, selected using purposive sampling. Data were obtained from the Indonesia Bond Market Directory and companies' financial statements published by the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with EViews 12 software. The results indicate that, individually, leverage and profitability do not have a significant effect on corporate sukuk credit spreads. In contrast, sukuk ratings have a significant negative effect, while the book-to-market ratio has a significant positive effect on credit spreads. These findings suggest that sukuk ratings and the book-to-market ratio are important determinants of corporate sukuk credit spreads, whereas leverage and profitability have not been shown to exert a significant influence.

Abstract

Innovative work behavior is a key factor in enhancing organizational competitiveness, particularly in the garment industry, where companies are required to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions and continuously improve operational efficiency. This study aims to examine the effect of Inclusive Leadership on Innovative Work Behavior, with Psychological Safety serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires administered to 175 permanent employees of garment companies in Semarang Regency, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 software. The findings reveal that Inclusive Leadership positively enhances Innovative Work Behavior while also strengthening employees' Psychological Safety. Furthermore, Psychological Safety contributes to the improvement of innovative work behavior and partially mediates the relationship between Inclusive Leadership and Innovative Work Behavior. These findings indicate that leadership characterized by openness, respect for diversity, and active employee involvement fosters a psychologically safe work environment. Such an environment encourages employees to express ideas confidently, explore new approaches, and actively contribute to workplace innovation. This study extends the existing literature on inclusive leadership and innovative work behavior while providing practical insights for organizations seeking to cultivate an innovation-oriented culture through inclusive leadership practices and the development of a psychologically safe work environment.

Abstract

Agricultural modernization through the use of agricultural tools and machinery became one of the important pathways to improve farm efficiency, especially as Indonesia’s agricultural sector faced pressures from land conversion, an aging farming population, and the weak regeneration of agricultural labor. This article aimed to analyze the level of modern agricultural machinery adoption among Agricultural Business Households (RTUP) in Indonesia and to interpret the challenges of agricultural modernization based on the Agricultural Census data from 2003, 2013, and 2023. This study used a descriptive-comparative quantitative approach by relying on secondary data from publications of Statistics Indonesia, policy documents, and related scientific articles. The analysis was carried out through data tabulation, percentage change calculations, growth rate analysis, and interpretation of factors that hindered technology adoption. The findings showed that the number of RTUP declined from 31.23 million in 2003 to 26.14 million in 2013, before increasing to 28.42 million in 2023. At the same time, the use of modern technology among farmers/RTUP in 2023 only reached around 46.84%, indicating that more than half of agricultural business actors had not been adequately reached by modernization. The low adoption of agricultural machinery was associated with the dominance of older farmers, limited land ownership, lack of capital, low digital literacy, limited infrastructure access, and uneven extension services and machinery assistance. These findings indicated that agricultural modernization could not rely merely on the distribution of machinery, but also required institutional strengthening, operator training, financing schemes, and strategies to encourage the regeneration of young farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita, the poverty rate, and the unemployment rate on community welfare, as measured by the Human Development Index (HDI), in Medan City. It also examines these determinants from the perspective of Islamic Economics. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The data used were secondary time-series data covering the period from 2005 to 2025, obtained from Statistics Indonesia (Badan Pusat Statistik/BPS). The sampling technique applied was purposive sampling. To ensure an adequate sample size for macroeconomic statistical analysis, the annual data were transformed (disaggregated) into quarterly data, resulting in a total of 84 observational samples. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26. The partial test (t-test) revealed that GRDP per capita has a positive and significant effect on community welfare (HDI). In contrast, the poverty rate and the unemployment rate were found to have negative and significant effects on the HDI of Medan City. Simultaneously (F-test), the three independent variables have a significant effect on the dependent variable, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 80%, indicating that 80% of the variation in community welfare (HDI) is explained by the model, while the remaining 20% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of earnings management, financial distress, and profitability on tax aggressiveness, as well as the moderating role of the audit committee in the relationship between these variables and tax aggressiveness in coal mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2022–2024 period. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The sample consisted of 17 companies selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 51 firm-year observations. Secondary data were obtained from the companies’ annual reports and financial statements and analyzed using panel data regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with EViews software. The results indicate that earnings management has a positive and significant effect on tax aggressiveness, while financial distress has a negative and significant effect on tax aggressiveness. Profitability, however, has no significant effect on tax aggressiveness. Furthermore, the audit committee weakens the relationship between earnings management and tax aggressiveness but strengthens the relationship between financial distress and tax aggressiveness. Meanwhile, the audit committee does not moderate the relationship between profitability and tax aggressiveness. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening the effectiveness of the audit committee as a corporate governance mechanism to mitigate tax aggressiveness.
