Abstract

Education is one of the main keys to creating and forming Indonesian human qualities that are superior and have strong competitiveness. In Indonesia, children's education on the coast generally has the same problems, namely low levels of education and inadequate socio-economic life. Thus this study aims to analyze what are the problems of children's education on the coast. This research uses a qualitative method with an approach to ethnography. The research data was taken from eight informants consisting of children, parents, and the surrounding community. To strengthen the interview data the authors also made direct observations of children in coastal areas. Interview and observation data were analyzed using Analysis Interactive Model Milles & Hubberman. The results of this study are that there are five problems that hinder children's education on the coast, namely inadequate economic conditions, children's desire to follow their parents' career path, low interest in learning in children, lack of motivation from parents to go to school and environmental factors and friends. The results of this study can be used as information for the community to find solutions to existing problems.

Abstract

The phenomenon that occurs to students is their difficulty in detailing and sorting out the division of inheritance. This material is indeed difficult to understand, especially in the details of each received by the heirs. This study aims to find out what problems occur in students of Islamic religious education regarding Islamic jurisprudence. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Sources of data were taken from five informants through in-depth interviews who were selected using techniques of purposive sampling, all informants are active students majoring in Islamic religious education at Universitas Negeri Padang in 2019 and 2020. The results of the analysis show that there are three problems that occur with Islamic religious education students regarding Fiqh Mawaris. These three problems are i) the difficulty of determining the parts that must be received by the heirs, ii) the lack of time allocation used in the rose material and the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts, and iii) students' lack of mastery and repetition of the rose material. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers to examine this issue in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

One of the cultures of the Islamic community in Indonesia is to make pilgrimages to places that are considered sacred or also known as traditions. This study aims to analyze the values ​​of Islamic education in the traditions of the community at Inyiak Kiramaik grave. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Sources of data were taken through in-depth interviews with ten informants consisting of two religious’ leaders, and eight people from the community who always make pilgrimages. The research data was taken by means of individual interviews to strengthen the interview data, the authors also made observations and analyzed using the Milles and Hubberman technique. The results showed three values ​​of Islamic education towards the Inyiak Kiramaik tomb, namely i) increasing faith; ii) preserving the tradition of visiting the tombs; iii) strengthening friendly relations between pilgrims. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers to examine this issue in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur’an is a noble act that is favored by Allah SWT. Because by memorizing the Qur’an it means we are trying to maintain the purity of the Qur’an. This cannot be separated from the efforts of a teacher in guiding his students to always memorize the Qur’an from an early age. It is the teacher's hard effort that determines the success of a student in memorizing the Qur’an. This study aims to analyze the strategy of tahfizh teachers in improving students' Qur’an memorization skills. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects were teachers and students. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. All interview results were analyzed theoretically using techniques Analysis Interactive Model Miles & Huberman, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the data analysis found that there were six strategies carried out by the teacher in improving students' Qur’an memorization skills, namely; i) Using various methods, such as talaqqi, tasmi’ and takriri, ii) Applying the ODOA method (one day one ayat), iii) Guiding students to routinely Muraja’ah, iv) Always motivating students to improve their memorization of the Qur’an, v) Giving rote assignments and punishments to students, vi) The teacher corrects students' reading. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers to examine this issue in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how local (Minangkabau) cultural integration forms in learning Islamic religious education, and its effect on the behavior of students in secondary schools. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with ten informants consisting of school principals, Islamic religious education teachers, culture and arts teachers and students. All data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique. The research findings show four forms of integration of local (Minangkabau) culture with the learning of Islamic religious education conducted by the school. The four integrations are (cultural learning through Islamic religious education subject matter, holding traditional dress days at school, shaping the daily behavior of students according to culture, holding extracurricular activities about cultural and customary teachings. Furthermore, the findings also found that the integration of local (Minangkabau) culture with Islamic religious education has an effect on the attitudes and behavior of students such as (ability to communicate well, growing attitudes of loving culture and customs, liking to dress in traditional clothes that are more polite and neat). This integration model can be used as a reference for other schools in teaching values culture and customs through learning Islamic religious education

Abstract

Persons with disabilities with limited walking (leg disabilities) need assistive devices in carrying out life routines, especially praying at the Mosque. Current data show that 10% of the world's population or 65 million people are those with walking limitations (foot disabilities). Therefore, it is necessary to design a wheelchair that is more innovative and responsive so that the movement of people with disabilities is more assisted and flexible. This article will discuss how the author designs and manufactures wheelchairs to help people with disabilities perform prayers at the mosque. The name for the product made is Wheelchair design. To design the product the author uses the prototype method, this method is carried out by identifying problems, analyzing user needs, designing products according to user needs, making products that have been planned. This design is one of the technological development innovations in Islam as a religion that teaches its people to innovate in various scientific aspects. Besides that, this tool is actually very helpful for people with disabilities in making it easier for them to carry out worship at the mosque.

Abstract

The development of the current era of globalization has had various impacts on every level of society, especially among students, with the influx of foreign cultures causing students to follow this culture, one of which is having free sex which results in the phenomenon of getting pregnant before marriage. Pregnancy out of marriage that occurs among students today is due to a lack of attention or supervision from the family, and is caused by students' curiosity about sexual relations, the consequences of which can destroy their future and aspirations. This study aims to analyze how the phenomenon of pregnancy out of marriage among students. This research uses the method qualitative approach with phenomenology. Sources of data were taken from three informants through in-depth interviews who were selected using the technique of purposive sampling. The results of the analysis show three themes: i) The phenomenon of pregnancy out of marriage among students is caused by three factors, namely: a) behavioral factors: promiscuity b) family factors: lack of parental supervision c) environmental factors: low religious moral education ii) conditions student life after marriage: the economy is borne by the family, the family is not harmonious iii) The student's reasons for getting pregnant out of marriage, namely: curiosity about sexual relations, because of pressure from partners. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers to examine this issue in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

The Forty days of prayer the fardhu prayer in congregation for forty consecutive days which is usually done by Syattariyah congregation. In its implementation, there is a very interesting uniqueness to discuss. The purpose of this research is to analyze how the implementation of the tradition that have been waiting for dozens of days and describe the educational values ​​contained in it. This research focuses on the implementation that have been waiting for for a dozen days in Nagari Singgalang. Method used in this study is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. Data sources were taken from ten informants consisting of two priests and eight congregations with individual and group interviews. To strengthen the research data the authors also made direct observations. All informants are people who are actively involved in the implementation that have been waiting for for dozens of days. All data from interviews and observations were analyzed using the Milles & Huberman Interactive Analysis model. Research findings shows that: the first, which have been waiting for tens of days for was first introduced by Sheikh Buya Tanjung Medan around 1100 Hijriyah. Second, have been waiting for dozens of days for the legal basis for its implementation. This is based on the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad narrated by Imam At-Tirmidhi. Third, the implementation that have been waiting for dozens of days is the same as the congregational prayers in general, but every fardhu prayer is added with the qadha congregational prayer as well. Fourth, the values ​​of Islamic education contained in the implementation of the Sumbayang Ampek Puluah hari are spiritual values, social values, disciplinary values, cultural values, and integrity values. The results of this study can be used as information to the public in order to be able to understand the existing problems.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the methods used by teachers in learning the Qur'an. This study used a qualitative method with a case study type, the data source was taken from forty-two informants through in-depth interviews who were selected using purposive sampling and observation techniques. All results of interviews and observations were analyzed thematically with Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis. The research findings show that there are nine methods used by teachers in teaching the Qur'an including; i) Iqra', ii) Tartil, iii) Baghdadiyah, iv) Tahsin v) Recitations, vi) Lamma, vii) As-Sahl, viii) Talaqqi, ix) Peer tutor. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers in examining different issues related to this problem and various other issues that are relevant to this context.

Abstract

Children's education is the responsibility of every parent; therefore parents must be able to provide the best quality education for their children, including choosing an educational institution, one of which is the State Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah. This study aims to analyze the motivation of parents to choose religious education institutions as a means of children's education. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach, data sources were taken from fifteen informants through direct interviews using a set of interview protocols. All data were analyzed thematically using the Miles and Huberman technique. Overall, the study results show five main themes of parents' motivation to choose Madrasah Ibtidaiyaah Negeri as their child's educational institution. The five themes are: i) prioritizing religious learning and general learning, ii) emphasizing character education through religious activities iii) students are able to apply Islamic norms in everyday life, iv) complete infrastructure facilities in Madrasahs, and v) environmental atmosphere nice madrasa. The results of this study can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying parental motivation in the context of different issues.
