Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) Conducting a research is one of the implementations of Three Pillars of Higher Education that has a crucial role for the development of science, technology, and arts as well as for the improvement of the welfare of society since the research results are directly implemented to the society/community. To spread more significant effect; not only for the society/community but also for more external parties; therefore, Universitas Internasional Batam hold a Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas partners to disseminate their research works. Through this conference, the researchers are able to share their knowledge and motivation in the application of sustainable research activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki apakah kesibukan CEO dan tata kelola perusahaan memberikan dampak pada kinerja perusahaan dengan menganalisa semua sektor perusahaan selain keuangan, asuransi, dan properti yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) pada periode 2015-2019. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa biaya yang dikeluarkan dengan memiliki ukuran dewan yang lebih besar dan tingkat hutang yang lebih tinggi tidak sebanding dengan manfaat yang diterima oleh perusahaan. Selain itu, juga menemukan masa jabatan CEO yang lebih dari 5 tahun cenderung kurang beradaptasi dan terbuka terhadap perubahan strategis pada lingkungan eksternal. Di sisi lain, ukuran perusahaan yang lebih besar memiliki daya saing yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ukuran perusahaan yang lebih kecil

Abstract

Healthy lifestyle is something that everyone needs to pay attention to, because a healthy lifestyle is important to maintain a healthy body. But unfortunately, not everyone has implemented a healthy lifestyle. This is due to several reasons, such as lazy to eat healthy food because it is considered ineffective, and lack of knowledge about how to implement the right healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the author wants to design a 2D animation video about the importance of a healthy lifestyle, the animation video will be made as clear and attractive as possible, so that the video is interesting to watch and the message in the video can also be easily understood by the public. In designing this 2D animation video, the author uses several software such as, Adobe Illustrator 2019, Adobe After Effects 2020, and Adobe Premiere Pro 2020. The final result of this research is an information media in the form of 2D animation video that informs the importance of a healthy lifestyle, which was developed using the MDLC method and has a duration of 2 minutes and 10 seconds. This 2D animation video is distributed to the public through the Youtube platform, so that the animation video can be easily watched by the public. With this 2D animation video, it is hoped that it can provide information and also motivate the public to be able to implement a healthy lifestyle.

Abstract

The Mirorrless camera is a photographic device used to take pictures through mechanical and electronic processes. It can be interpreted as a combination of technology and art, making photography a complex art and image medium, as well as providing meaning and information. In general, what distinguishes digital SLR cameras from mirrorless cameras is how the image is displayed in the viewfinder. The camera has different composition settings to make it easier to understand each type of photography. In 2009, Olympus introduced a new type of mirrorless camera.

Abstract

Hotel adalah salah satu tempat dimana setiap pelanggan memperoleh pelayanan, fasilitas makanan, minuman dan penginapan. Kualitas dan fasilitas hotel yang diberikan sangat berpengaruh terhadap penilaian wisatawan terhadap hotel tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh training and development, performance appraisal, reward system serta job satisfaction sebagai mediasi terhadap employee performance. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah hotel berbintang empat di Kota Batam dengan sampel karyawan hotel berbintang empat di Kota Batam yaitu Pacific Palace, Travelodge Batam, Planet Holiday, Swiss-Belhotel Harbour Bay. Penulis menggunakan metode non probabilitas untuk pengambilan data dengan total responden yang digunakan sebanyak 266 responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pelatihan dan pengembangan, penilaian kinerja, sistem penghargaan serta kepuasan kinerja sebagai mediasi memberi pengaruh positif terhadap kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

This paper is aimed at exploring the use of Glodon software using BIM in construction. The objective of this paper is to identify the satisfaction level of the Glodon software during the pre-contract stage of the construction project. A structured questionnaire was used to analyze Glodon software users. The result shows that the draw function, identify function, and import and export BIM model are satisfactory functions in the Glodon software during the pre-contract stage. The findings will give an understanding of the limitations and acceptability of the software in practice. The limitation of this study is that it was done in Klang Valley, Malaysia, and explored the tool satisfaction in the software.

Abstract

GATT As the treaty is a soft law, there were many case of where states did not fully ratify the treaty which then leads to dispute. One of the most iconic cases is the poultry dispute between Indonesia and Brazil in regards of Poultry trade. The policy that is being disputed is known as the quantitative restrictions. Abstract

The design and development of coastal areas is an effort to increase the value of a city. Utilizing the coastal potential of a city to become a center of destinations is one of the important things to promote and encourage the prosperity of the community in a city. Batam, is a province that is blessed with many and beautiful coastal areas, but not all coastal areas with such great potential have been touched and developed. In Batam by 2020, 30% of the regional revenue and expenditure budget (APBD) is used for infrastructure development. However, coastal areas that are still undeveloped will not be affected positively, therefore design directions are needed for coastal areas with great potential, such as the Batam Green Initiative site area, which has abundant mangrove forests. The research method used is qualitative research. Observations were made as a first step to determine the factual conditions of the research area using a walkthrough analysis. Then research was also carried out related to the condition of the community around the site area, related to their needs and whether the design directions made would maximize the site, and also have a positive impact on the surrounding community, especially from various aspects. The results showed that the potential for mangrove forests in the Batam Green Initiative and its hilly contours, make the Batam Green Initiative a potential site for coastal areas that can be maximized and promote the prosperity of the surrounding community.

Abstract

Photography is a technique of taking photos using a camera. Of course, photography is also well known to the wider community to capture the moment. Fashion is the way people dress according to current trends. Fashion can also be trusted to increase individual confidence. In fashion photography, it is intended to take pictures of the clothes worn by one of the dancers. The dancers referred to in the dance created by Zapin in the city of Batam. This Zapin dance has been passed down to the people of Batam. Zapin dance creations can also be interpreted as a modified zapin dance. In designing fashion photography of dance dancers created by Zapin, the aim is to introduce the clothes worn by one of the dancers in Batam. The clothes worn by the Malay brackets and accessories. The author made with Photoshop CC 2020 and Corel Draw 2019 applications in photo editing. Then the author uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method to assist the process of designing a photobook. The author collects data with documentation and interviews. The result of this fashion photography design for dance dancers created by Zapin is a photobook that is printed in the form of a photo book. This photo book contains a collection of photos of dance dancers created by Zapin who wear clothes and accessories in the city of Batam. This photo book is expected to be able to attract local and foreign people in providing information about the dance fashion created by Zapin in Batam.

Abstract

Dating apps aim to help you meet someone. Many found success in finding love online encouraging dating apps developers to further ingrained themselves into the modern-day matchmaking culture. This study recommends a research model examining the antecedents of users’ intention to continuously use dating apps. It focuses on the influence of gratifications from the use of dating apps towards perceived usefulness and continuance intention as well as the role of perceived usefulness as a mediator. The result shows a positive relationship between gratifications and continuance intention. Although not strong, the perceived usefulness does acts as a mediator in this relationship

Abstract

Dalam melakukan penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh dari tata kelola dan kualitas audit terhadap biaya utang. Penulis melakukan peninjauan dengan variabel independen yang meliputi dewan direksi, independensi dewan direksi, konsentrasi kepemilikan saham, pemegang saham intitusi, pemegang saham manajerial, komite audit dan independensi komite audit serta menggunakan ukuran perusahaan, roa, leverage sebagai tolak ukur untuk dalam biaya utang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan data laporan keuangan perusahaan yang telah dipublikasi di BEI menjadi sample yang akan diuji dengan menggunakan uji regresi panel perangkat digunakan ialah spss dan eviews Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tata kelola dan kualitas audit tidak berpengaruh terhadap biaya utang. Variabel yang tidak berpengaruh ialah dewan direksi, independensi dewan direksi, konsentrasi kepemilikan kepemilikan manajerial, kepemilikan institusional, komite audit, independensi komite audit, jumlah asset, roa, dan leverage.
