Abstract

This study aims to analyze price volatility, volatility spillover, and price trends in coffee commodities in North Sumatra before and after trade liberalization. Employing a quantitative approach with the ARCH/GARCH model, this study utilizes coffee price data in logarithmic return form from 1990 to 2024. The estimation results indicate that after trade liberalization, coffee price volatility increased significantly, exhibiting more persistent characteristics. Furthermore, a volatility spillover effect from international coffee prices to local prices was identified, suggesting that the domestic market has become more influenced by global dynamics. Trend analysis also reveals that prior to liberalization, prices experienced a stable upward trend, whereas post-liberalization prices became more volatile with no clear long-term direction. This research contributes theoretically to the commodity pricing literature by highlighting the crucial role of liberalization in shaping market risk structures. The practical implication of this study emphasizes the need for risk mitigation policies at the farmer level and the strengthening of local coffee competitiveness in the global market.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of accounting information, consisting of profitability, firm size, and leverage, on stock prices of companies listed in the LQ45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2022-2024. The results show that profitability and leverage have no significant effect on stock prices, while firm size has a positive effect. These findings indicate that investors in the Indonesian capital market, particularly those investing in companies listed in the LQ45 index, tend to pay more attention to the firm size factor rather than to accounting indicators such as profitability and leverage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh rekomendasi produk berbasis kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan persentase diskon terhadap pengeluaran impulsif mahasiswa pengguna e-commerce seperti Shopee, Tokopedia, dan TikTok Shop. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan sampel sebanyak 105 mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta yang dipilih secara acak. Data diperoleh melalui angket daring dan dianalisis menggunakan uji validitas, reliabilitas, serta regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan platform analisis berbasis AI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rekomendasi produk berbasis AI dan persentase diskon berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pengeluaran impulsif mahasiswa, dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,428. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa semakin relevan rekomendasi dan semakin besar diskon yang ditawarkan, semakin tinggi kecenderungan mahasiswa berbelanja tanpa perencanaan, sehingga diperlukan literasi keuangan digital untuk mengendalikan perilaku konsumtif di era e-commerce.

Abstract

    The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of promotion and distribution channels on sales volume at PT. Bintang Medika Bersama Medan Tembung Branch. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation studies, while the data analysis techniques used are multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, f-test and determination. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is no partial effect of promotion on sales volume with the test results showing that  tcount < ttable is 0.919 <1.66864 then H1 is rejected and Ho is accepted, which means that the promotion variable has no effect on the sales volume variable at PT. Bintang Medika Bersama Medan Tembung Branch. There is a partial effect of distribution channels on sales volume with the test results showing that tcount > ttable is 21.918 >1.66864 then H2 is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that the distribution channel variable has a positive and significant effect on sales volume at PT. Bintang Medika Bersama Medan Tembung Branch. there is a simultaneous influence of promotion and distribution channels on sales volume with the test results showing that Fcount > Ftable, namely 321.504 > 3.14, it can be concluded that H3 is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that the promotion variables (X1) and distribution channels (X2) together have a positive and significant effect on sales volume (Y) at PT. Bintang Medika with the Medan Tembung branch.

Abstract

Customer loyalty is a customer's commitment to a brand, store, or supplier that is seen in repeat purchasing behavior. Several factors can shape customer loyalty, including price and service quality. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of price and service quality, both partially and simultaneously, on customer loyalty at the Usaha Rakyat Bed Sheet Store in Medan City. This study was conducted using a quantitative method with a descriptive research type. The population in this study were all customers who had made regular purchases at the Usaha Rakyat Bed Sheet Store in Medan City with a minimum purchase requirement of 2 times. The sample used was 30 respondents and the technique used was non-probability sampling. Data analysis used multiple linear regression analysis, significance testing, and determination testing. The results of this study indicate that the price variable does not have a significant effect on customer loyalty, while the service quality variable has a significant effect on customer loyalty. Simultaneously, it shows that price and service quality have a significant effect on customer loyalty at the Usaha Rakyat Bed Sheet Store in Medan City. The results of the determination test show that 57% of customer loyalty is influenced by price and service quality, while the remaining 43% is influenced by other variables not explained in this study.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the capital performance between Sharia Commercial Banks (BUS) and Sharia Business Units (UUS) in Indonesia during the period of 2019–2023 using the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) indicator. In the context of national sharia economic growth, it is important to understand how institutional structure affects the strength and stability of sharia banking, particularly from the perspective of capital adequacy. This study employs a comparative quantitative approach utilizing secondary data sourced from the financial statements of sharia banks and official publications from the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The analysis is conducted using the Independent Samples T-Test to test the significance of the differences between the two types of banks. The results of this study are expected to contribute to regulators, industry practitioners, and academics in evaluating and formulating more effective and sustainable strategies for strengthening sharia banking in the future.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahaui Pengaruh Trend Fashion Dan Promosi Terhadap Keputusan Pembelian Produk Pada PT. Aliasi Kreasi Mandiri Di Sun Plaza Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan sampel sebanyak 96 responden yang merupakan konsumen PT. Aliasi Kreasi Mandiri . Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuisioner, observasi dan dokumentasi. Variabel Trend Fashion memiliki nilai thitung > ttabel (4,434 > 1.66123) berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima maka variabel trend fashion memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan dengan variabel keputusan pembelian. Minimnya kemampuan toko untuk mengikuti Trend Fashion karena masih banyaknya produk lama yang tersedia sehingga perusahaan belum dapat menyediakan produk fashion terbaru. Variabel Promosi memiliki nilai thitung > ttabel (3,027> 1.66123) berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima maka variabel promosi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan dengan variabel keputusan pembelian. kurang maksimalnya media promosi tanpa menggunakan media social, e-commerce. Adanya pengaruh secara simultan antara Trend Fashion Dan Promosi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian senilai Fhitung > Ftabel (34,097> 3,09) berarti H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Adanya penurunan penjualan dari target toko yang berdampak pada keputusan pembelian konsumen.Kata Kunci :  Trend Fasjion, Promosi dan Keputusan Pembelian

Abstract

This study analyzes the financial performance of PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPA) from a capital market perspective, focusing on key issues related to stock price volatility and investment potential. The main objectives of the study are to evaluate MAPA's financial performance based on market indicators, as well as to identify buy and sell signals using Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD). The research method involves analyzing historical MAPA stock price data and calculating the MACD indicator. The results of the study indicate that MACD can provide a relevant indication of MAPA's stock price momentum, although it needs to be considered together with the company's fundamental factors and overall market conditions. The implications of this study provide guidance for investors in making investment decisions in the capital market, especially related to retail sector stocks, and highlight the importance of technical analysis as a complement to fundamental analysis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of machine maintenance and just-in-time production on production volume at PT. Lambang Utama Medan, a leading manufacturer of cream and bar soap. The research adopts a quantitative approach with a sample of 60 respondents selected from 151 production employees using Slovin's formula. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, along with validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²).The findings indicate that machine maintenance has a positive and significant effect on production volume (t = 1.965; p < 0.05), as does just-in-time production (t = 2.414; p < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect production volume (F = 7.446; p < 0.05), with an adjusted R² value of 0.751, meaning that 75.1% of the variance in production volume can be explained by these two variables. The study concludes that effective machine maintenance and the implementation of timely production schedules are crucial in optimizing and sustaining production volume. These findings provide valuable insights for operational management strategies and contribute to the academic development of production and efficiency studies in manufacturing industries.
