ABSTRACTRice production of North Sulawesi province in recent years has increased , but it can not compensate for the increase in demand for rice due to the increase in population and per capita consumption of rice. Therefore, until now North Sulawesi is still a deficit-rice region and this2affects the achievement of self-sufficiency in rice. The objective of research is to determine the conditions of production and the needs of current and projected rice production and rice needs in period 2012-2030 . The data used in this study is time series data from 1996 to 2011. Population growth , crop area , production and productivity . are analyzed descriptively using the table , the tool used in data processing program is Microsoft Excel 2007 .The result of the research showed that development of production and demand for rice in North Sulawesi fluctuated from year to year tend to increase very year . During the 16th -year period of North Sulawesi still could not cover the needs of rice .projection and production and need for rice in North Sulawesi at the average population growth of 1.42 percent per year during the 2012-2030 was deficit .the average population growth of 1.28 percent per year in 2012-2020 North Sulawesi is still in deficit despite the declining rice and this area will be self-sufficient in rice in 2025-2030. While of the average population growth of 1,1 percent per year of the next 19th years, North Sulawesi would have a rice surplus.

ABSTRACTChristy O. Pua.The Perception of Vegetable’s Consumers in Manado City about Free Pesticide Vegetables Product. Under guidance of Jen Tatuh as chairman, and Vicky R. B. Moniaga and Leonardus R. Rengkung as members.The objective of this research is to measure the consumer’sperception in Manado City to some aspects about free pesticide vegetables product, especially about secure aspect for consumer’s health. The method used in this research is survey method. This research uses primary data. Sampling method used in this research is accidental sampling. The primary data are obtained from respondents, who buy vegetable in Pinasungkulan Traditional Market and Hypermart Supermarket, total respondents are 40. Data is analysed by descriptive used Likert Scale.The result shows that perception of vegetable consumer about free pesticide vegetable product classified as strong. It means that they have high awareness about the those products. The highest of indicator perception index is the consumer persception about savibility product for healthness, it means people have already know that free pesticide vegetable is healthy. The indicator lowest perception index is the consumen persception that the habit of consumption the free pesticide vegetable is as a tradition in the family, it means that consumer is used to consumed free pesticide vegetable. The reasons for consumer buying free pesticide vegetable product are the prices relatively expensive compared with non free pesticide vegetable product, and it is hard to find that product’s in market, which makes the consumers, still doubt to consume of free pesticide vegetable products as a lifestyle or a tradition in the family, especially consumer who buy vegetables in traditional market.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to estimate the population of red jungle fowl in the Tumbohon village. The method used in this study was a survey by the shaped line transect sampling to determine the population density (density) of red jungle fowl. It can be concluded that the density of the red jungle fowl in the forest area Tumbuhon village is 24.1 birds/km2. Value of density estimation based on the observation frequency in transects was 14.1 birds/km2 up to 34.1 birds/km2, while the value of density estimation based on the number of transects was 1.7 birds/km2 up to 46.5 birds/km2.Key words : Red Jungle Fowl, Tumbohon, Line Transect, Density

ABSRACTNancy Aipipidely. The Consumen Satisfication Analysist of Tinutuan Product in “Wakeke†Cullinary Tourism Area Manado City. Under guidance of Gene Kapantow as chairman, and Juliana Mandei and Jean Timban as members.The objective of this research is to measure the consumer’s satisfication level of tinutuan in “Wakeke†cullinary tourism area, based on product, price, location and sevice from the employee who works at the restaurant. The method used in this research is survey method. This research uses primary and secondary data. Primary data are obtained from interviewed with tinutuan consument with questioner to collect the data. Secondary data are obtained from restaurant’s manager/owner. Sampling method used in this research is systematic sampling to 10 consumers in each of 13 restaurant, with total of 130 consumens as respondents. Data analys used in this research is descriptive which analized with Likert Scale and presented in table form.This research result showed that satisfication level of tinutuan consumer in “Wakeke†cullinary tourism area, based on product, price, location and sevice was the total score of 9706, which means that satisfication level index of 78,6% and classified as satisfied. That means tinutuan consumer satisfy with the product and service given by the employee in restaurants at “Wakeke†cullinary tourism area. The factor that need to be improved was in maximazing consumer satisfcation was to prepare restaurant facilities in form of available parking lot and physical look improvement by employee who work in restaurant at that area

ABSTRACTMissy Juwita Nonutu. The Consumer Perception of Bread Product’s about the Marketing Mix at Holland Bakery Boulevard in Manado City. Under guidance of Charles R.Ngangi as chairman, and Yolanda P.I. Rori and Ellen G. Tangkere as members.The objective of this research is to describe the bread product consument’s perception about the marketing mix (based on the product, price, place and promotion) at Holland Bakery Boulevard in Manado City The method used in this research is survey method. This research uses primary and secondary data. Sampling method used in this research is accidental sampling. Primary data are obtained from interviewed with respondent, which is consumens who buy bread products at Holland Bakery Boulevard, with total of 60 consumens as respondents, using questioner to collect the data. Secondary data are obtained from interviewed with the manager of Holland Bakery Boulevard. Data analysis used in this research is descriptive which analized with Likert Scale and presented in table form.This research result shows that based on product, the highest level index of consuments perception was at product’s flavour indicator. Based on price, the highest level index of consuments perception was at the compatibilty beetwen price and the product’s quality indicator. Based on location, the highest level index of consuments perception was at the indicator of location, comfortability and cleanliness of outlet. Based on promotion, the highest level index of consuments perception was at the publication efectivity indicator. Promotion efectivity indicator is have the lowest level index of consuments perception, which was classified as sufficients, were as the other indicator was classified as good. Generally, based on likert scale analysis showed that the bread product consument’s perception about the marketing mix at Holland Bakery Boulevard was classified as good.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to know physical land suitability for soybean crops in the Pandu Village, Mapanget District of Manado. This research can provide input and information to the government and the people of the district of Mapanget about land suitability, especially for soybean plants, which were held at Pandu Village, Mapanget District of Manado city, and at the Laboratory of Soil Conservation and Physics, Faculty of Agriculture of Unsrat for 6 ( six ) months, commencing from March to August 2013, by using the method of Land Survey Unit Approach. The results showed that, the agricultural land at Pandu Village has some potential areas for development of soybean plants. Area I and VI were categorized into suitability classes S2 ( quite appropriate ), Area II was the suitability class S3 ( marginally suitable ), Area III was suitability class N1 ( not appropriate at this time ), Area IV were conformity classes N2 ( not appropriate forever )Keyword: Physical Land Suitability, Soybean

This research was conducted at the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture UNSRAT in the Pandu District Mapanget for 4 months, starting from the month Novenber 2012 to February 2013, which aims to determine the effect of spraying application time and concentration of paclobutrazol (PBZ) on the growth and yield of maize varieties Yellow Manado. The parameters measured were plant height, cob length, cob diameter, cob weight, number of rows cob, grain weight per ear. The results showed that the effect of concentration and time of application of paclobutrazol interact affect Manado Yellow corn cob weight, whereas high concentrations singly affect plants and spraying time singly affect the diameter of cob and grain weight per ear. ABSTRACTOne of the problems in South Minahasa Regency is the reduction of the agricultural land area, which is caused by the increasing number of residents. This is caused by conversion of the agricultural land. The objective of this research is to analyze the growth of the number of the population and agricultural land area and analyze the relation between of the number population and agricultural land area in South Minahasa Regency.This research uses primary and secondary data. The Primary data in this research were obtained from the result of direct interview with the Department of Agriculture and Livestock of South Minahasa, Department of Population and Civil Registration of South Minahasa, Forestry Department of South Minahasa, and the South Minahasa community leaders. The secondary data of thus research were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of North Sulawesi and the Central Statistic Agency of South Minahasa. This research uses trend analysis and correlation analysis which was supported by qualitative approach.This research result showed that the number of population increases up to year 2020 and the agricultural land area in South Minahasa decreases up to year 2020. Based on this research, it could be concluded that the total population has a close relation with an area of agricultural land caused the increasing of the number of the population caused the decreasing of the agricultural land area due to the conversion of function of agricultural land to non agricultural land.

ABSTRACTIrene Rumagit . Disparities between the Economic Development Districtand Cities North Sulawesi ( Under the guidance of H. O. Esry Laoh as chairman ,M. Sendow and L.W.Th Sondak as a member ) .The objective of this research is to assess the economic developmentdisparities among districts and cities in North Sulawesi in 2007 - 2012 period .This research is motivated by the diversity of natural resources and demographicconditions , differences in income per capita and economic growth contained ineach regency and town in North Sulawesi. As a result of these differences , theability to increase economic development is different from one region to the otherregion.The data collection took place during two months from September toOctober 2013 . The data used are per capita GDP , population data and growthdata obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of North Sulawesi province .Analysis of the data in the form of descriptive analysis are presented in tables andquadrant by using analytical tools Williamson Index.The results showed that the economic development district and cities inthe province of North Sulawesi during the period 2007 - 2012 continues toinequality , where the data is used proved that there are significant differencesamong the districts and cities in North Sulawesi . Results proficiency level couldbe seen clearly when analyzed by Williamson index which indicates that the rateof economic development was still classified inequality on inequality of economicdevelopment . This was due to the diversity of potential and natural resourcesamong districts and cities that led to per capita income and economic growthbecomes different resulting imbalance of economic development.

ABSTRACCommunity forests around Masarang and Pinaras are dominated by stands of E. ovalis (Miq.) Dandy. Theincrement is usually used to express the of increase of stand volume in a specified time unit. This study is aimedto determine the average annual increment of E. ovalis in community forests of Masarang and Pinaras. Thisresearch was conducted in the villages of Masarang and Pinaras. The method used was the comparison of twoindependent samples in two different locations with three replications. The method used was the diameter andheight was measured on 198 E. ovalis trees in Pinaras and 251 E. ovalis trees in Masarang. The results of theanalysis concluded that there was no difference between the increments for E. ovalis in Masarang and Pinaras.Soil fertility, soil texture, and altitude in the 2 locations did not become prohibitive factors for the growth of E.ovalis.Keyword: E. ovalis, Increament, Pinaras, Masarang
