Abstract

Assessment of the implementation e-government in West Java Province has decreased, despite not having an impact on increasing the development of egovernment in Indonesia compared with other countries in the world that experienced a rating increase to 107th position in 2018. Seeing the development of e-government in West Java Province makes a necessity to improve its quality so that it can have an impact on increasing Indonesia's ranking in the top position in the future. For this reason, a state of the art mapping of e-government research is needed in West Java Province based on the results of a systematic literature review. By focusing on five main steps, namely identification of research, selection of primary studies, assessment of study quality, data extraction and monitoring, and data synthesis. In addition to the five main steps, this research will look at three aspects in the design of e-government, namely aspects of technology, people and processes. The sources used in this study are journals and proceedings of seminars taken from the Google Scholar database for five years from 2014 to 2018. The key words used in searching the Google Scholar database are "e-government", "West Java ", and" Jawa Barat ". These keywords are searched in the entire article, not just in the article title. The mapping results show that research issues related to the analysis of e-government implementation are more dominant than research issues related to the design of e-government systems. Nevertheless, in the research issue related to the analysis of e-government implementation there are still opportunities to explore the interaction of G2B and G2G. Research issues related to the design of egovernment systems are dominated by the design of technological aspects, so that research opportunities are still open in the design of human aspects and processes.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company which produced a variety of products with uncertain demand. All of the products made of Polyurethane. This company plans to expand their production floor at the 1st floor to accommodate the machines at the 2nd floor. The reason for this expansion was because the operators have to go to the 2nd floor if they want to produce some small-sized products, which increases the material flow on the production floor. Furthermore, the ovens located only at the first floor, causing the flow to increase even more. If all the machines are at the same floor, the material flow will decrease. The purpose of this research is to propose layout design, which can reduce the distance between machines. This research using quantitative and qualitative approach. Quantitative approach uses ABSMODEL 3 algorithm, while qualitative approach uses CORELAP method. This final proposal also considers some other areas, which is Quality Control and finishing area including racks for finished products. These two approaches compared in order to know which one generates the shortest distance, where the better result turned out the one using quantitative approach with the total distance of 80,67 m.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a group of student work readiness profiles. Based on this profile, students' readiness to work will be identified. Grouping is done using data mining based on the k-means clustering algorithm. The work readiness profile group consists of student skills or abilities based on Critical Thinking/Problem Solving, Oral Communications, Written Communications, Teamwork/Collaboration, Diversity, Information Technology Application, Leadership, Lifelong Learning/Self Direction, and Professionalism / Work Ethics. The case study of grouping the profile of work readiness of students is carried out in the Industrial Engineering Study Program of Telkom University with the number of respondents 191 students in the class of 2014 who are currently taking level IV lectures. Based on the results of grouping by dividing into 9 clusters, it was identified that students who met the criteria as students were ready to succeed in work in cluster 7. The number of students in cluster 7 was 50 students with good academic skills, but less active in student activities in the field of reasoning and culture, while the work readiness tends to be very good. The highest work readiness score for cluster 7 is in Lifelong Learning/Self Direction and Teamwork/Collaboration capabilities. Oral Communications, and Leadership which are the benchmarks of student readiness in a career. Further research can be done by identifying groups of work readiness profiles for students at various levels so that they can be used as a reference for designing programs to improve work readiness that varies for each level.

Abstract

In the rapid development many organisation rely on context data to support as well as to assist its decision making process. Consequently, Business Intelligence (BI), Dashboard, and Data Visualization emerged as primary tools in early 1990s as a way to help practitioners, data analyst, and data scientist to present context data into an actionable information for decision making process. However, despite its robust and powerful tools, recent study done by Kaggle’s survey in 2017 resulted that in the last five years, many companies were not able to create effective data-driven dashboard due to complex dataset, poor dashboard design, and insufficient storytelling. Hence, understanding of who is going to use dashboard, choosing which data and metrics to visualize in the right context, knowing how to convey information, driving engagement, and persuading audiences are essential in current business practices. This study is aimed to help practitioners to understand the impact of effective dashboard can have on decision making process, to design leveraging dashboard, and to present the dashboard in storytelling. A literature study is performed to gather all relevant information resulted in guidelines for dashboard creator. Case study in financial technology company is applied to experiment and to test the guidelines for assisting dashboard creator to present data-driven insight to the stakeholder.

Abstract

The Citarum River is the longest river in West Java. The river participates in the development of the Indonesian economy by 20% of GDP (Gross Domestic Product). In 2018, the citarum river ecosystem structuring survey team found 31 factories in the Bandung Regency region that dumped the waste produced directly into the Citarum River, one of which was the textile industry. In the production process the textile industry uses textile dyes containing azo dyes. The compound has the potential to produce aminobenzen or aniline which causes pollution. The lack of a communal Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL) and improper location is a factor that causes the industry to dispose of production waste water directly into the Citarum River. This study aims to support government activities in improving the Citarum River by designing a Decision Support System (DSS) using a website-based Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the right location to build a communal WWTP. .
