Abstract

This study's objective was to investigate the corporate governance, company performance, and corporate social responsibility factors that influence earnings management in the food and beverage sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study employs an exploratory descriptive approach to identify indications of the impact of corporate governance, corporate performance, and corporate social responsibility on corporate earnings management. The research sample comprises as many as 34 food and beverage manufacturing companies. This study employs panel data regression for its data analysis method. Using E-Views 10.0, the available data was examined. Results indicated there was no effect of corporate governance on firm performance, no effect of corporate governance on earnings management, an effect of corporate responsibility on corporate responsibility, a negative effect of firm performance on earnings management, a positive influence of corporate responsibility on earnings management, and a negative effect of corporate governance on earnings management that was statistically significant. Implications of the research: corporate governance should focus on earnings management by evaluating company performance, corporate governance, and corporate responsibility. This study can be used as a foundation for developing prior research in order to obtain empirical evidence regarding the factors that influence earnings management.

In order to find out what forms of radicalism and the driving factors for it, especially among students, is theauthor's goal to conduct this research. The research method used by the author is normative juridical research wherethe research method is a statutory approach, as for the data sources used are primary and secondary data sources.Related to the results of research conducted by the author, he stated that riots often occur in demonstrations amongstudents, this is because the demonstration is a form of radicalism whose triggering factor is the desire to carry out arebellion. In addition, this study also uncovers the fact that a social movement that was born from conditions thatprovided an opportunity for the movement; over dissatisfaction with something a social movement arises from it; thebirth of a social movement from the leadership ability of a character; The three things described by the author arefactors that trigger the emergence of radicalism among students. However, not everything is said to be radicalism ifthe act is a demonstration that ends in chaos. These acts of radicalism can basically be avoided if the authorities inthe university and government circles can carry out their obligations as well as possible. In addition, in respondingto a policy issued by the government, students should not use violences.

Abstract

Industrial development in Indonesia increases every year. Industries that grow significantly every year are the food, beverage and household furniture industries, which almost all of their packaging uses plastic materials. One of the dangerous and toxic materials in plastic manufacturing is phthalate. One phthalate compound that is commonly found in everyday life is diethyl phthalate (DEP). This compound is dangerous because it is carcinogenic, xenoestrogenic and its effect on the endocrine disrupts the binding and action of natural hormones, thus disrupting physiological processes. The accumulation of plastic in the landfill causes this compound to be identified in leachate with an existing concentration of 2.4 mg/L. Biological treatment is one of the appropriate technologies in DEP removal. The treatment is carried out by removing DEP using fungus isolated in the leachate water sampled. The mechanism of phthalate degradation by fungi can be explained simply where fungi use phthalates as the only source of carbon and energy for their growth. Degradation tests were carried out on Malt Extract Broth (MEB) liquid media to which phthalate was added at existing concentrations and using selected efficient fungi over a period of 6 days. Concentration testing was carried out by analysis using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Analysis of fungal cell count using spectrophotometric method by measuring OD value. Tests were carried out on days 0, 2, 4 and 6; Fungi from leachate water that have the potential to degrade DEP compounds include Aspergillus Niger, Penicillium sp and Trichoderma sp
