Abstract

Navigation simulators have a very important role in the learning process to steer the ship's motion safely virtually based on the same shape and function as the original. However, the absence of a navigation simulator at the Aceh Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic of the Capture Fisheries Study Program (PTK) is thought to be the cause of the non-optimal learning process so that a navigation simulator is needed. This study aims to facilitate the navigational science learning process so as to make this navigation simulator a teaching and learning tool in the classroom, both in theory and practice. The method of designing and building a mini fishing boat navigation simulator is carried out in three stages, namely the literature review method, the observation method and the field work method. The results obtained are a navigation simulator with compass, radar, electronic maps, steering, weather control, ship lights and sound signals. The building space for this fishing boat navigation simulator can be used as a learning tool to sail ships and can increase interest in learning.

Abstract

Premenopausal breast cancer is a serious medical challenge, with treatment focusing on inhibiting estrogen production to stop the growth of cancer cells. Goserelin, a gonadotropin hormone (GnRH) agonist, has been used to protect the ovaries and reduce estrogen levels in premenopausal women undergoing breast cancer therapy. Previous studies have provided evidence of Goserelin's efficacy and safety, but understanding continues to evolve. Therefore, we conducted this study to provide a recent update on the role of Goserelin in ovarian protection in premenopausal breast cancer. This study is an updated review that summarizes the relevant scientific literature on the use of Goserelin in ovarian protection in premenopausal breast cancer. We examined clinical research, randomized trials, and observational studies published in several leading academic databases. The results of these studies were analyzed and organized in the context of ovarian protection and therapeutic effects on patients. A review of the literature indicates that Goserelin remains an effective option in reducing estrogen levels in premenopausal women with breast cancer. Recent studies show continuity in Goserelin's role in reducing the risk of ovarian failure and side effects associated with estrogen inhibition, such as premature menopause. Apart from that, giving Goserelin in the form of monthly and 3-monthly implants is equally effective in controlling estrogen levels.

Abstract

Banjarmasin City, as the city center in South Kalimantan Province, faces a serious threat from fire risk. Its geographical and climatic conditions make it vulnerable to catastrophic fires, especially during the dry season. In an effort to overcome this challenge, the city government has taken strategic steps in the form of Banjarmasin City Regional Regulation No. 13 of 2008 concerning Fire Hazard Prevention and Control, and established the Fire and Rescue Service (Damkar) in 2022. This research uses socio-legal research methods that combine normative and sociological approaches. Qualitative analysis methods are used to explore deep insights into normative aspects related to fire disaster prevention and management. This interdisciplinary approach allows for a more holistic understanding of the issue, involving both legal and social aspects. Fire disasters not only threaten residential areas, but also vacant land. Therefore, fire prevention and suppression must be carried out effectively and efficiently. Protection against fire hazards includes the use of extinguishing equipment such as sprinklers, fire hydrants, and detectors, as well as building design planning that minimizes fire risk. However, more important are prevention efforts that include education, evacuation, and early handling when a fire occurs. The importance of legal protection for the community in dealing with fire risk is the main focus. This is reflected in the local regulations formed and the improvement efforts made. The role of Damkar in fire disaster management became central, and the meeting between the Regional Government and the Self-Help Fire Brigade Front (BPK) became a strategic step in coordinating these efforts. The revision of Banjarmasin City Regional Regulation No. 13 of 2008 and Banjarmasin Regional Regulation No. 23 of 2012 are concrete efforts in perfecting the legal framework governing fire disaster prevention and management. Thus, the city government strives to protect its people through effective and efficient measures, and encourages active participation from various parties in maintaining mutual safety and welfare

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the modernization of the city of Batam on the existence of the Malay House Limas Potong. The method used in this research is historical research. The steps in this research are heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of the study show that the very first simple industrial concept in Batam, which began in 1898, was the Pertuan Muda of Riau, Raja Muhammad Yusuf-Ahmadi on behalf of the Riau Lingga Kingdom, who granted part of Batam Island land to King Abdullah, Raja Ali Kelana and Raja Muhammad Thahir. In 1978 B.J Habibie changed the course of Batam's development. Batam was transformed into the direction of industrial, service, trade, transhipment and tourism. The Malay House Limas Potong once dominated the architectural forms of houses in Batam City. Currently, the construction of a Malay house with the traditional architecture of the Malay House Limas Potong is no longer a prima donna. Construction efficiency, land availability, difficulty in obtaining raw materials, and up to the development of today's architectural models have changed a lot. The only Malay House Limas Potong currently in Batam City is in Kampung Melayu, Nongsa District.
