Abstract

The learning process that uses the Moodle type Learning Management System (LMS) application in learning from the student's perspective on learning innovation, the point of view or individual assessment of something can be called perception. This study aims to determine student perceptions of the learning process based on the LMS application in the Biology Education Study Programme. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The population of this study were active students in the Biology Education Study Programme in the 2022/2023 academic year with a sample size of 41 students. The sampling technique was carried out using saturated samples. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. Data were analysed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that overall student perceptions of the Learning Management System (LMS) application-based learning process in the Biology Education Study Programme at Muhammadiyah Luwuk University are in the good category

Abstract

Bintang Island, which is located in Tolala District, North Kolaka Regency, is an island that has beautiful beaches and a fairly abundant coral reef population. The aim of thisresearch is to determine the coral reef diversity index. The type of research is quantitative descriptive which was carried out in December 2016. The location for taking sample images was determined on each side of the island with a total of 4 stations which will be installedvertically for a distance of 20 m, from the shoreline to the inside with the aim of being a route for laying a 2x2 plot. m in a zig-zag manner, totaling 10 plots. The research results were analyzed using the Shanon-Wiener formula. The results of the research found 32 species, namely Acropora humalis, A. palifera, A. caroliniana, A. donei, A. Formosa, A. gemmifera, A. gomezi, A. melliopora, A prostarata, A sarmentosa, A gracilis, Cycloseris costulata, Montipora aequituberculata, M. carpiocornis, M. danae, M. informis, M. tuberculosa, M. undata, Coeloseris mayeri, Cypahstrea decadie, Favie favus, F martima, F. abdita, Fungia concinna, Goniastrea minuta, Leptoseris papyraceae, L. scabra, L yabei, Pavona decussate, P. frondifera, Platygyra daedalea, and Turbinaria reniformis.. The Coral Reef DiversityIndex on Bintang Island at each Transect / Station respectively is I = 3.75, II = 3.10, III = 3.06, IV = 3.56, and overall the other transects have a diversity index of 3 .40 (H'>3), so the coral reef diversity index of Bintang Island, located in Tolala District, North Kolaka Regency, is considered high stability.

Abstract

Abstract: With the advancement of time and creative innovation from humans, tempeh is no longer just a side dish to accompany rice, but can be used as a practical and ready-to-eat snack, namely tempeh chips. The aim of this research is to determine the marketing strategy which includes product, price, promotion and distribution of cheerful tempeh chips in Sumber Mulya Village, Simpang Raya District and its surroundings. This research was carried out at Usaha Ceria, Sumber Mulya Village, Simpang Raya District, Banggai Regency from May to June 2023. The number of samples used was 12 people. The data analysis used is SWOT analysis. The research results show that the product strategy for cheerful tempe chips is that the product is always available, the product has product attributes, brands and labels, and has an affordable price. The promotional strategy for cheerful tempe chips is personal sales promotion, in other words word of mouth promotion. Apart from that, promotions are also carried out through social media. The distribution strategy for cheerful tempe chips is from producers directly to consumers and from producers to distributors and distributors to consumers. Cheerful tempeh chips products are distributed to several shops/supermarkets inside and outside Banggai Regency. Marketing of cheerful tempe chips is in quadrant I supporting an aggressive growth policy (Growth Oriented Strategy).

Abstract

Bonebobakal Village is one of the villages in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi. Bonebobakal Village Beach is characterized by a rocky coastal ecosystem, which has a variety of coral flora and fauna communities. Various types of communities of invertebrate biota organisms are found in Bonebobakal Village Beach, one of which is Bivalvia. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition and types of Bivalves found on the beach of Bonebobakal Village. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with cruising survey method on plot line transect. The results showed that there are several types of Bivalves on the beach of Bonebobakal Village such as Anadara granosa (pigeon clam), Perna viridis (green clam), Pinctada sp. (pearl clam) and Hippopus hippopus (clam). Based on the value of data analysis from both stations, the value of the diversity index (H') is 1.2023 classified as moderate, while the uniformity index (E) is 0.8673 classified as stable. The dominance index (D) is 0.3473 classified as low, and the density index in a row from the highest to the lowest is Anadara granosa species (50.49%), Hippopus hippopus (23.30%), Perna viridis (17.48) and finally Pinctada sp. (8.74%).

Abstract

This research aims to determine the comparison of growth rates of Rhizophora apiculata mangrove seedlings in Paconne Village and South Senga Village. This research was carried out from April to July 2022 in Paconne Village and South Senga Village, Luwu Regency. The samples used in this research were mangrove seeds of the Rhizophora apiculata type. The results of the research showed that the growth percentage in South Senga Village was 72%, the average stem diameter was 7.7 cm, the average stem height was 4.84 cm and the number of leaves was 2 pieces. Meanwhile, the growth percentage in Paconne Village is 60%, the average stem diameter is 7.0 cm, the average stem height is 3.02 cm and the number of leaves is 2 pieces. So the best percentage growth rate of mangrove seedlings is found in South Senga Village.

Abstract

Motivation is a psychological state that comes from within a person to encourage feelings of pleasure and a strong will to carry out an action to achieve a goal. Student learning motivation is the encouragement that forms the basis for students to want to study well and earnestly both arising from within themselves and from outside. This study aims to determine students' motivation in biology subject at SMA Negeri 1 Luwuk. The type of research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 215 respondents who were taken randomly from 562 populations. The results of this study indicate that 0.93% of students are classified as very low motivation, 14.90% of students are classified as low motivation, 61.40% of students are classified as high motivation and 22.80% of students are classified as very high motivation. So that in general students' learning motivation in biology subjects at SMA Negeri 1 Luwuk is in the very high category.

Abstract

Abstract: The results of the survey determine the types and describe the benthic macrofauna in the Salukai River, West Pamona District. This monitoring is carried out at three stations, namely Station I upstream, Station II in the middle of the river, and Station III downstream. The station guarantee test was carried out using purposive inspection, especially the location of the test location using the survey method with a flow length of 7 km. The exploration results revealed six species of benthic macrofauna: Brotia testudinaria, Lymnaea rubiginosa, Rhyacophila acotilova, Ophiogomphus rupiussulensis, Pila ampullacea, and Chironomus pullosus. From the survey results, a total of 43 individuals from four species at Station I were confirmed, a total of 74 individuals from five species at Station II, and a total of seven species from one species at Station III. In general, the relative richness of benthic macrofauna: KR = 33,586 individuals at station I, KR = 32,182 individuals at station II, and KR = 0.1 individuals at station III.

Abstract

Abstract : Higher education institutions must prioritize achieving graduate learning outcomes to produce excellent and competent graduates. Innovations in nurturing experienced prospective teachers in the field of education need to be directed towards creating professional teachers. Faculty members need to develop teacher education programs through consecutive approaches that integrate subject matter knowledge and pedagogical knowledge. In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, education faces new learning challenges that prioritize data, technology, and human literacy. Faculty members must innovate learning to adopt these new literacies. The Fourth Industrial Revolution requires changes in managing prospective teacher students, particularly in independent learning mastery, problem-solving, and utilization of digital learning resources. Blended learning is an innovative learning model that can address these challenges. Through a combination of innovative learning and blended learning system patterns, students can learn flexibly and effectively. The outcome of this research is a pedagogical learning model that can be implemented by higher education institutions to enhance teacher education quality. This research applies the Research and Development (R&D) method, implementing several stages including Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research findings show the development of a blended learning-based learning design that is valid and practical, categorized as excellent, and effectively enhances independent constructivism by 92% and guided constructivism by 85%, as well as independent social constructivism by 91% and guided social constructivism by 80%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that this learning design is deemed suitable for promoting the constructivism and social constructivism abilities of prospective teacher students.
