Abstract

There are two tribes in Kecamatan Sei Suka Kabupaten Batubara, namely the Melayu tribe and the Javanese tribe. The purpose of this research is to study how people from different cultural backgrounds communicate in the village of Sei Suka. This research is a qualitative descriptive field research with the aim of accurately establishing systematic qualitative descriptive facts and the characteristics of certain regional groups. This research data collection methods include interviews, observation, and documentation. The result of the research is that from the results of this study it was found that people who used to use oral communication from the local language, the language was interpreted and used in a group environment and was considered a common language. While the nonverbal communication used in the communication activities of the Melayu and Javanese people in Kecamatan Sei Suka Kabupaten Batubara are body language, appearance and clothing. Nonverbal language is used to support the meaning of information in society using nonverbal language to strengthen and complement language so that it can communicate effectively. Supporting factors in this intercultural communication process are the ability to communicate, mutual trust, friendly and polite attitude, interest in communicating, and adaptability.

Abstract

Islam is a religion of da'wah, where the Islamic religion itself encourages its adherents to always be active in spreading the religion of Islam. The progress or decline of Muslims really depends on how they preach. Da'wah itself can be done verbally, bil-qalam, bil hal and also in forums as long as the aim is to invite goodness and commands of Allah SWT and to imitate the Prophet Muhammad. Through modern art filled with prayers praising Rasullulah accompanied by hadroh music, it will attract teenagers in general in increasing the religious activities carried out by the El-Fata Hadroh Group. This research starts from a background where before the hadroh appeared or was formed, teenagers were still lacking in enlivening the mosque, but after the hadroh appeared, the teenagers began to be interested in joining the hadroh community. After these teenagers join, they are easier to direct, and know the extent to which hadroh has been used as a medium for youth da'wah in fostering a spirit of religious activity in Mantiasa Village, Batang Suntai Hamlet, West Tebing Tinggi District. This research uses qualitative research. Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation methods. Through interview and observation methods, it is known that the main subjects to be researched are teenagers who are members of the Hadroh El-Fata group. From the results of research conducted by researchers, it shows that the teenagers of Mantiasa Village, Batang Suntai Hamlet are enthusiastic about carrying out religious activities. The religious activities carried out by the teenagers of Mantiasa Village are sholawat, Muizotul Hasanah, learning to read the Al-Qur'an, learning speeches and praying, with Mauizotul Hasanah and good spiritual guidance can influence the morals of teenagers who have followed this hadroh. With this gift, teenagers' time is not wasted, teenagers' free time is used with positive activities that are useful for changing their personality for the better.

Abstract

Cinta Subuh is an Indonesian film in 2022 directed by Indra Gunawan. This film, based on a novel by Ali Farighi, stars Dinda Hauw, Roger Danuarta and Rey Mbayang. The film Cinta Subuh will be released in theaters on May 19, 2022. The type of research used is a qualitative approach where this type of research seeks to collect facts, data or information and explore facts, data and information with certain scientific techniques. The data analysis technique used is media text analysis with Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic analysis model. Based on the results of research conducted on "Semiotic Analysis of Da'wah Messages in the Film Cinta Subuh by Indra Gunawan" there are three symbols of da'wah messages depicted in the film. That is, the message of preaching morality includes the behavior of a person who is driven by a conscious desire to do a good deed. Sharia da'wah messages include Allah's laws which are established based on the arguments of the Qur'an and Sunnah and the Aqidah da'wah messages include faith or belief that is certain without the slightest doubt about the basics of Islamic teachings given by the Al-Qur'an and Hadith . Where the three symbols of the da'wah message above are analyzed using Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic analysis approach, namely studying the meaning of signs using three elements of objects, signs and independent.

Abstract

This research is a literature review that delves into the role of technology in the context of church mission, especially in efforts to reach and influence the new generation in the digital era. The digital era has transformed how humans interact, learn, and seek information, and churches must also adapt to remain relevant in fulfilling their mission. This study investigates technological developments such as social media, church websites, mobile applications, and streaming platforms, which have become crucial tools in delivering religious messages, teaching, and providing access to church worship. By analyzing existing literature, this research attempts to answer several key questions, such as the extent to which technology has influenced the perception, participation, and acceptance of the new generation towards religious messages. Additionally, this study also explores challenges and opportunities that arise with the use of technology in the church context. The results of this research will provide insights for churches seeking to maximize the use of technology in their mission efforts and assist in designing effective strategies to reach the new generation living in the digital world. Furthermore, this research provides a foundation for further studies and practical applications for churches in various contexts.

Abstract

Communication and information technology is increasingly advanced and developing rapidly, this phenomenon makes it easier for people to use electronic devices, namely the internet. Software such as poly and social media to communicate more diversely called new wave technology, is a technology that connects individuals and groups. Technological developments in the increasingly rapid era of globalization, present social media. Instagram is one of the social media that is currently widely used by people of all ages, regardless of age. Instagram is currently one of the media for obtaining information, so that many users spread information through Instagram social media, such as the Instagram account @diskominfo.bukittinggi, which uses Instagram as a medium for conveying messages. The account @diskominfo.bukittinggi is included in the top 3 of the number of followers in West Sumatra, and this account only uploads most of its posts only about the mayor of Bukittinggi and the Bukittinggi Kominfo agency. This study uses a type of research that is descriptive qualitative in nature, which describes how Instagram @diskominfo.bukittinggi is managed as an information medium for the city of Bukittinggi. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. Through interview and observation methods, it is known that the main subject to be researched is the @diskominfo.bukittinggi account admin, and the object of this research is the management of @diskominfo.bukittinggi in collecting information so that it becomes information on Instagram posts. The results of the research that has been carried out by researchers can be concluded, namely: (1) the @diskominfo.bukittinggi account in obtaining information, namely by SKPD or direct directions from the Mayor's schedule. (2) the @diskominfo.bukittinggi account processes information by compiling messages, namely selecting photos and videos and creating captions that clarify Instagram users in obtaining information. (3) submission of account information @diskominfo.bukittinggi using existing features on Instagram such as feeds, instastories.

Abstract

Da'wah is the activity of inviting people to the path outlined by Allah SWT. In achieving success in Islamic da'wah activities, there are many da'wah activities that can be chosen and one of them is the method given by Rasulullah SAW and his friends, namely direct demonstration, this da'wah activity is called da'wah bil hal. Da'wah bil is an Islamic da'wah activity carried out with real action towards the needs of the recipient of the da'wah. Da'wah bil hal is a da'wah activity aimed at improving the welfare and happiness of people's lives, both spiritual and physical. The aim of the research is to provide an overview of the application of da'wah bil activities for the administrators of the Nurul Haq mosque in Jorong Patomuan, Talamau District, West Pasaman Regency. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach, which is a field survey and is descriptive in nature. Data collection methods used by the author in this study are observation, documentation and interviews.

Abstract

Payakumbuh has a large variety of ethnicities, races, religions and cultures. Including several ethnic groups in the West Payakumbuh sub-district, there are several ethnic groups including Minangkabau, Chinese, Batak, and Javanese. The Chinese and Minangkabau ethnic groups have several differences, such as differences in the use of language, and differences in values ​​and cultural norms. Differences like this can affect the way these two ethnicities communicate, such as misunderstandings and conflicts between the two. However, researchers found collaboration and adapted to effective ways of communication to build a common understanding between the two. The type of research used in this research is a type of research with a descriptive qualitative approach, the data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study can be concluded, first, how is communication based on the intercultural Chinese and Minangkabau ethnicities, in terms of cultural dimension theory, there is an attitude of mutual understanding and acceptance of differences, both in terms of language, religion, culture and norms. Then seen from the perspective of cultural adaptation theory, being able to adapt to the existing cultural differences, between the ethnic Chinese and the ethnic Minangkabau. The two supporting factors for communication between ethnic Chinese and Minangkabau are similarities in using language, closeness, mutual respect for differences, a good environment, helping each other and having a high sense of kinship.

Abstract

In communicating, you must know how so that the information to be conveyed is well received, not offensive and can be understood by the listener. Communication activities can be well established if the communicators are able to respect each other and uphold ethics in communication. The purpose of this research is to explain what are the factors and forms of adolescent communication ethics and how are the real conditions of adolescent association in Pasar Pagi Village, Buluh Manis Village, Bengkalis Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. By using data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that adolescents in Pasar Pagi Village, Buluh Manis Village, Bengkalis Regency: (1). The social conditions of adolescents are basically good for their teenagers. Teenagers have applied communication ethics to their parents and the surrounding community. However, the condition of the association of adolescents within the scope of peers, has not yet applied the communication ethics that these adolescents should do. (2). Factors that influence the formation of adolescent communication ethics are the environtment consisting of family and school, habits, foreign culture, organization and social media. (3). Forms of adolescent communication ethics such as maintaining speech, courtesy, mutual respect and respect and accepting differences when communicating, both to parents and the community environment have been applied by adolescents. However, teenagers still use harsh or dirty words when communicating with friends in their relationships.

Abstract

Da'wah is an activity that invites people to the path of Allah, where in carrying out da'wah a da'i certainly requires a da'wah method to make it easier when carrying out da'wah. The da'wah method is a method used by a da'I when carrying out da'wah, so that what a preacher will convey is in accordance with his mad'u condition. This research was conducted to find out the method of preaching Ustadz Khalid Basalamah on the Khalid Basalamah Official YouTube account. To find out Ustadz Khalid Basalamah's da'wah method, this study used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, by collecting data by observation and documentation. The results of the study showed that the da'wah method used by Ustadz Khalid Basalamah was the al-hikmah method, that is, he used a lot of arguments, hadiths, and stories of his companions in language that was easy for mad'u to understand. The al-mauizah hasanah method where he gave lots of invitations, advice, and education in a good way, where he conveyed it gently but also firmly.

Abstract

Subuh fighters are a missionary community formed by young people as a movement to promote congregational morning prayers at mosques and several religious activities related to the missionary movement in Tembilahan. The dawn warrior's missionary journey in society does not only focus on preaching bil-lisan and bil-kitabah, but also on the relationship and interdependence between goals that can work together with da'wah. Da'wah can even be a catalyst for social movements that have a positive influence on community activities. This research was conducted to find out how the dawn warriors' da'wah strategy was used to increase congregational morning prayers in Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir district, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors for the dawn warriors' da'wah strategy in increasing congregational morning prayers in Tembilahan, Indragiri Hilir district. The type of research used in this research is a type of research with a descriptive qualitative approach, the preferred data collection methods are observation, interviews, and documentation if files are needed for data collection, documentation. The results of the research can be concluded that the Tembilahan dawn warriors are seen from Fred R. right. The challenge faced is how to introduce and motivate that the morning prayer is important, an obligation for every Muslim and why Muslims must perform the morning prayer. As well as supporting and inhibiting factors, both internal (management) and external (society).
