The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the multiple linear regression method processed through SPSS version 21. The results of the study show that small and medium-sized traders in the traditional market of Padang Baru, do not know Islamic business ethics in theory. In practice, most traders in the Padang Baru traditional market do not deviate from Islamic law in their trading activities. However, there are still traders who engage in practices that are not in accordance with the principles of Islamic business ethics. For example, there is a lack of transparency towards buyers, and buyers are prioritized over prayer times. This shows the importance of Islamic business ethics knowledge in raising awareness of trading practices that are in line with sharia values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the availability of imported beef on sales and business continuity of local traders in Ibuh traditional market, Payakumbuh City, as well as evaluate the price competition from the point of view of Islamic economics. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through interviews with 10 informants, field observation, and literature studies. The findings showed that the availability of imported beef resulted in a decrease in sales of local traders by 34.4%. The main factors driving this are lower prices for imported meat, longer shelf life and wider distribution. Local merchants responded with adaptive strategies, such as improving services and providing discounts. In addition, in the perspective of Islamic economics according to Ibn Taymiyah, this condition is contrary to the principle of justice that requires prices to be formed fairly without exploitation. This inequality requires government intervention through the role of hisbah, such as subsidizing local meat prices or restricting imports, protecting small traders and creating fair market competition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cyber crime and perceived risk on decision-making in using e-banking services at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). The background of this research is the increasing use of digital banking services, which is accompanied by potential threats of cybercrime and users’ perceived risks. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative descriptive method. The sample consisted of 96 respondents, determined using Slovin’s formula, with data collected through questionnaires. Validity and reliability tests confirmed that all research instruments were valid and reliable. The data were analyzed using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination with the help of SPSS version 25. The findings revealed that the cyber crime variable has a negative but insignificant effect on students’ decision to use BSI e-banking services. This indicates that although cybercrime remains a relevant issue, it does not significantly reduce users’ intention to adopt digital banking. On the other hand, the perceived risk variable shows a positive and significant effect on decision-making. The better students perceive and manage risks, the higher their tendency to use BSI e-banking services. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence decision-making, with perceived risk contributing more strongly than cyber crime. These results highlight that a well-managed perception of risk can enhance users’ confidence in adopting Islamic digital banking services.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an understanding of the efforts made by Islamic Financial Institutions (LKS) in implementing financial inclusion, to identify the obstacles encountered, and to analyze the role of LKS in applying inclusive financial systems to empower communities in Palopo City. The research employed a survey method with a qualitative approach. The sources of information in this study were employees of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Palopo Branch and several micro-entrepreneurs. The results of the study indicate that various efforts have been made by LKS, and their implementation has been well received by the community in Palopo City. This is evidenced by several programs, products, and financing schemes provided to micro-entrepreneurs in the area. However, there are several obstacles faced, including limited human resources and service offices, as well as a lack of understanding and awareness among the public, who still prefer quick and simple loans. As a result, many people tend to carry out financial transactions outside the LKS system. Micro-entrepreneurs require the role of LKS, particularly in providing capital to expand their markets, thereby contributing significantly to the national economy. LKS are able to offer solutions to meet the basic needs of the community, both consumptive and productive, especially for the people of Palopo City.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of Islamic economics in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Indonesia, with a focus on poverty alleviation, reducing social inequality, and inclusive economic development. Using the literature study method, this research analyzes various literatures related to Islamic economics, SDGs, and their implementation in Indonesia, with the aim of understanding the relationship between the two and identifying challenges and opportunities. The results show that the Islamic finance sector, which includes Islamic banks and Islamic microfinance institutions, has great potential in providing equitable access to finance and helping the poor, especially in the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector. The halal industry sector has also shown significant contribution to the national economy by creating jobs and increasing Indonesia's competitiveness in the global market. However, the main challenges faced are unclear regulations, low public understanding of Islamic economics, and limited infrastructure that hinders access to Islamic financial services, especially in remote areas. This study concludes that to optimize the potential of the Islamic economy in supporting the SDGs, it is necessary to strengthen regulations, improve Islamic economic education, as well as cooperation between the government, the private sector, and the community.

Abstract

The urgency of developing the halal industry lies in its role as a driving force for inclusive, sustainable, and globally competitive national economic growth. The halal industry is not merely a symbol of religiosity but also serves as a strategic instrument to enhance national productivity, expand export markets, create employment opportunities, and strengthen macroeconomic stability. This study aims to analyze the key strategies determining the success of halal industry development in Indonesia and its contribution to national economic growth. A qualitative approach was employed using the literature review method, drawing data from the Master Plan for Indonesia’s Halal Industry 2023–2029 and the KNEKS Report (2025). The findings reveal that the development of the halal industry is supported by four main pillars: improving productivity and competitiveness, strengthening policies and regulations, enhancing halal finance and infrastructure, and reinforcing halal branding and awareness. The contribution of this research lies in formulating a strategic framework that emphasizes the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration to accelerate the transformation toward a halal-based economy. In conclusion, the development of the halal industry is not only a moral and spiritual obligation but also a visionary national economic strategy to achieve sustainable economic growth.
