Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in stock prices and trading volume of PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) shares before and after the Palestine–Israel conflict in 2023. The study uses a quantitative method with a comparative approach and secondary data obtained from Yahoo Finance in the form of closing stock prices and stock trading volume for 30 days before and 30 days after the conflict. Data analysis techniques used include descriptive statistical tests, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, paired sample t-test, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results show that there is no significant difference in the stock price or trading volume of PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) shares before and after the Palestine–Israel conflict, with significance values of 0.841 and 0.931, respectively. This indicates that the Palestine–Israel conflict has not had a significant impact on market reactions to PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) shares, because investors tend to consider the company's fundamental conditions and business prospects more than international geopolitical issues in making investment decisions.

Abstract

Financial digitalization has driven the rise of application-based investment instruments, including digital gold. For students in Islamic higher education, financial decisions are driven not only by technological functionality but also by Sharia compliance. This study aims to analyze the partial and simultaneous effects of Islamic Branding and Perceived Ease of Use on Interest in Digital Gold Investment among students at STAI Ali bin Abi Thalib Surabaya. A quantitative associative approach was employed with 132 active students selected via simple random sampling. Data gathered through structured Likert-scale questionnaires were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that partially, both Islamic Branding (t = 8.221; p = 0.000) and Perceived Ease of Use (t = 5.942; p = 0.000) have a positive and significant effect on investment interest. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence interest (F = 106.2; p = 0.000) with an  contribution of 62.2%. Strikingly, Islamic Branding emerged as the most dominant factor, although descriptive data recorded critical student skepticism regarding interest-free operations. This study underscores that for educated Islamic consumers, Sharia legality serves as a primary filter before technical ease. Therefore, the Sharia fintech industry must enhance contractual transparency to bridge the gap between financial convenience and religious compliance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Segmenting, Targeting, and Positioning (STP) strategies in improving the competitiveness of Rumah Makan Padang Minang Murah from an Islamic perspective. The increasing competition in the culinary business sector requires business actors to implement effective marketing strategies in order to maintain customer loyalty and business sustainability. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques consisting of interviews, observations, and documentation. The primary data source was obtained from the owner of Rumah Makan Padang Minang Murah. The results of the study indicate that the segmentation strategy focuses on middle-to-lower economic consumers, especially workers and students. The targeting strategy is directed toward loyal customers from the worker and student segments by maintaining food quality and providing good service. Meanwhile, the positioning strategy is implemented by building the image of a Padang restaurant with affordable prices, distinctive taste, and friendly service. From an Islamic perspective, the business has implemented Islamic economic principles such as honesty (ṣidq), justice in pricing, halal product assurance, and avoiding fraudulent practices (gharar). The implementation of STP strategies integrated with Islamic values has proven effective in increasing business competitiveness and maintaining customer loyalty. Therefore, Islamic-based marketing strategies can become an important approach in developing sustainable culinary businesses.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the harmonization of Islamic principles and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) in workforce diversity management. The study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from scholarly journal articles, International Labour Organization (ILO) documents, labor regulations, and relevant literature discussing equal employment opportunity, diversity management, and Islamic principles. The data were analyzed using content analysis through the processes of identifying, categorizing, and synthesizing relevant concepts. The findings indicate that Islamic principles are strongly aligned with the objectives of EEO and diversity management. The values of justice (al-'adl), human equality (al-musawah), trustworthiness (amanah), and the protection of human dignity (hifz al-'irdh) provide ethical and normative foundations for promoting equal employment opportunities and fostering inclusive workplaces. The study also finds that implementation challenges remain in the form of age discrimination, limited employment access for persons with disabilities, gender inequality, social stereotypes, and organizational cultures that do not fully support inclusiveness. Therefore, the harmonization of Islamic principles and EEO can serve as an approach to strengthening human resource management practices in creating fair, inclusive, and sustainable workplaces.

Abstract

Partnerships in the agricultural sector are one of the strategies used to increase the productivity and quality of agricultural products, including in the production of hybrid rice seeds. From a sharia economic perspective, partnership practices need to be implemented based on the principles of justice, transparency, and cooperation in accordance with sharia contracts. This study aims to analyze the partnership model for rice seed production at PT Persada Agro Sejati and examine the implementation of syirkah al-'inān in these collaborative practices from a sharia economic perspective. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results show that the partnership model implemented by PT Persada Agro Sejati has characteristics close to the syirkah al-'inān contract because there are contributions of capital, production facilities, labor, and profit sharing based on an agreement between the company and farmers. This partnership practice generally reflects the principles of cooperation in sharia economics. However, there are still several aspects that need attention, especially regarding the risk-sharing mechanism, and the balance of bargaining power between the company and farmers. Therefore, strengthening the contractual aspects and clarity of the division of responsibilities is necessary so that partnership practices can be more in line with Islamic economic principles.

Abstract

This study analyzes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of BMT Al Ishlah Jambi from a sharia perspective. As one of the oldest Islamic microfinance institutions in Jambi City, BMT Al Ishlah has developed strong community trust. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings show that the institution’s strengths include the implementation of murabahah and wakalah contracts, selective financing practices that maintain low non-performing financing (NPF), and effective word-of-mouth promotion. Its weaknesses involve limited human resources, low digital technology adoption, and minimal youth participation. Opportunities arise from easier licensing through the OSS system, partnership expansion, and salary deduction programs for teachers and civil servants. Threats include competition from Islamic financial institutions, post-pandemic impacts, and limited Islamic cooperative regulations. Based on these findings, SO, WO, ST, and WT strategies grounded in Islamic principles are formulated to support sustainable and sharia-compliant institutional development.

Abstract

This research examines the relevance of Al-Syaibani's on work ethics and Yahya bin Umar's on market supervision against modern UMKM practices in Kademangan District, Probolinggo City. Using descriptive statistical analysis with Likert scale questionnaire instruments administered to 40 UMKM actors selected by purposive sampling, this study measures the alignment between classical Islamic economic principles and contemporary business practices. The results show that the work ethics dimension based on Al-Syaibani demonstrates a moderate relevance score with a mean of 3.12 (Moderate category), while the market supervision dimension based on Yahya bin Umar records a mean of 3.08 (Moderate category). Regression analysis indicates that these two dimensions collectively explain 64.7% of the variance in ethical UMKM practices. The findings confirm that classical Islamic economic thought remains highly relevant for modern UMKM development, particularly in strengthening work ethics and fair market mechanisms. These findings contribute to the development of Islamic economic theory and have practical implications for policy-making in UMKM empowerment.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Islamic financial literacy and customer trust on the decision to engage in long-term Hajj savings among customers of Bank Sumut Syariah. Using a quantitative, causal-associative approach, the research surveyed 100 active Hajj savings customers in Medan City, selected through the Slovin formula, via a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The results show that Islamic financial literacy partially has a positive and significant effect on the Hajj savings decision (t = 2.881, sig. = 0.005 < 0.05). Customer trust likewise has a positive and significant effect (t = 3.555, sig. = 0.001 < 0.05). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence the Hajj savings decision (F = 52.347, sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), with an R² of 0.519, indicating that Islamic financial literacy and customer trust jointly explain 51.9% of the variance in the decision, while the remaining 48.1% is attributable to factors outside the scope of this study. These findings suggest that enhancing Islamic financial literacy and strengthening customer trust are key drivers of long-term Hajj savings decisions. Accordingly, Bank Sumut Syariah is encouraged to improve its sharia financial literacy education programs and reinforce trust-building strategies to boost public interest and commitment to long-term Hajj savings.
