Abstract

This study analyzes the significance of Muslim community socio-economic mapping as an empirical foundation for developing effective, sustainable, and transformative community empowerment strategies from a contemporary development communication perspective. Although Muslims constitute the majority population in Indonesia, they continue to experience significant socio-economic inequalities shaped by structural, historical, and institutional factors. This study employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review to synthesize evidence from academic publications, policy documents, and institutional reports. The findings indicate four main points. First, the socio-economic conditions of Indonesian Muslims require multidimensional mapping encompassing economic, educational, health, employment, social capital, and community aspiration aspects. Second, participatory socio-economic mapping not only generates accurate data but also functions as a development communication process that promotes critical community awareness. Third, integrating mapping results into empowerment planning produces more targeted, contextual, responsive, and sustainable programs. Fourth, the participatory development communication perspective strengthens the role of socio-economic mapping as a transformative empowerment instrument. This study proposes the Mapping-Communication-Empowerment Integration Model (I-PKP), consisting of four cyclical phases, as a conceptual framework to guide stakeholders in designing more responsive and impactful Muslim community empowerment programs.

Abstract

This study examines the legal issues of transferring qurban (sacrificial offerings) and the implementation of wakalah (agency) in the slaughtering process under conditions of differing determinations of the day of nahr between the regions of the mudhahi (offerer) and the representative. This research falls within the discipline of Islamic law, particularly in the areas of fiqh al-‘ibadah and contemporary fiqh al-mu‘amalah, which continue to develop alongside cross-regional qurban practices. The objective of this study is to analyze the validity of transferring qurban and the use of wakalah in slaughtering based on classical and contemporary fiqh perspectives. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, collecting data from classical fiqh texts, academic journals, and relevant scholarly fatwas. The findings indicate that the ruling on transferring qurban is subject to scholarly disagreement, with some scholars prohibiting it and others permitting it based on considerations of public benefit (maslahah). Wakalah in qurban is considered valid, provided that it fulfills the required sharia conditions, particularly regarding the timing of slaughter. In cases of differing mathla’ (lunar sighting), the slaughter must align with the valid time according to the mudhahi to ensure its validity. This study contributes to clarifying cross-regional qurban practices within contemporary fiqh discourse. Therefore, understanding the aspects of timing and agency is essential to maintaining the validity of qurban worship.

Abstract

Organizational structure and division of labor are essential elements in management systems that contribute to organizational effectiveness and efficiency. However, in practice, several problems still occur, such as unclear responsibilities, unequal workload distribution, and the lack of ethical values in organizational management. In the Islamic perspective, organizational management is not merely oriented toward managerial efficiency but must also be based on Sharia principles such as trust (amanah), justice, consultation (shura), and cooperation. This study aims to analyze organizational structure and division of labor from the perspective of Sharia principles. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from various literature sources, including books, scholarly articles, and relevant academic documents. The data were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative method by examining the concepts of organizational structure and division of labor in modern management theory and integrating them with Islamic management principles. The results indicate that organizational structure and division of labor in the Sharia perspective function not only as an administrative system for managing organizations but also as instruments to realize values of justice, responsibility, and cooperation in organizational activities. The integration of modern management concepts with Sharia principles can create a more effective, ethical, and sustainable organizational management system.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of profitability, leverage, and audit committee on Sustainability Report disclosure with company age as a moderating variable in mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. This study employed a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from annual reports and Sustainability Reports, with a purposive sampling technique resulting in 12 companies and a total of 60 observation data. The collected data were analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software to examine direct and moderating effects among variables. The findings indicate that profitability, leverage, and audit committee have a positive and significant effect on Sustainability Report disclosure. In addition, company age is able to moderate the effect of profitability, leverage, and audit committee on Sustainability Report disclosure. The R-Square value of 0.361 indicates that the research variables are able to explain Sustainability Report disclosure by 36.1%, while the remaining 63.9% is influenced by other variables outside this study

Abstract

Islamic social finance is a sharia-based economic instrument that has significant potential to support community development through zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf. This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic social finance in community economic development, identify the challenges in optimizing its management, and formulate development strategies based on Islamic economic principles. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type through library research. Data were collected from scientific journals, books, regulations, and other relevant academic sources, and then analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques. The findings indicate that Islamic social finance plays an important role in poverty alleviation, equitable wealth distribution, and community economic empowerment through the development of productive zakat and productive waqf. The study also reveals that the optimization of Islamic social finance still faces several challenges, including low public literacy, lack of transparency in management, and limited institutional digitalization. Therefore, strengthening institutional governance, implementing digital systems, and enhancing collaboration among stakeholders are essential steps to improve the effectiveness of Islamic social finance in promoting inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of halal certification and product quality on consumer repurchase intention at Mooi Cakes, Telanai Branch, Jambi City. Using a quantitative approach, data were gathered via questionnaires from 100 respondents using accidental sampling and processed via IBM SPSS. Regression analysis shows that partially, halal certification has no significant effect on repurchase intention (t count 1.603 < t table 1.984). Conversely, product quality exerts a positive and significant partial effect t 6.764 p < 0.001), indicating that higher product quality directly stimulates repurchase intensity. Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence repurchase intention (F 35.681). The Adjusted R Square of 0.424 shows these variables explain 42.4% of the variance, while 57.6% is driven by outside factors. This study confirms product quality as the primary determinant driving consumer repurchase behaviour.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of productive waqf land in Sambirejo Village, Bangorejo District, with a focus on management through the ijarah contract as an economic innovation for the community, and its socio-economic impacts and challenges. The ijarah contract is implemented by leasing waqf land to farmers for dragon fruit cultivation, so that the assets can be utilized without changing ownership. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation with nazhir, farmers, and community leaders. The results show that waqf land management through the ijarah contract is effective as an innovation that turns passive assets into a source of income. This system creates economic independence for the community, increases farmer income, and expands social benefits through the distribution of waqf proceeds for religious activities. These findings are in line with the concepts of productive waqf and maqashid al-syariah in utilizing assets for the benefit of the community. However, challenges faced include limited managerial capacity, lack of institutional support, and low public literacy regarding productive waqf. Institutional strengthening and education strategies are needed for sustainable management.

Abstract

This study examines inheritance distribution practices in Sumberharjo Village, Pacitan, which are commonly carried out through family deliberation based on the principle of at-taradhi (mutual agreement). The study aims to understand inheritance distribution practices and analyze the value of maslahah within them. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that the community prefers deliberation because it helps maintain harmony among siblings and prevent conflict after the death of parents. Agrarian economic conditions also influence inheritance distribution, particularly in preserving the productivity and economic value of agricultural land. However, the deliberation process does not always occur equally. The culture of pekewoh (reluctance) often causes some heirs, especially women, to remain silent or give in for the sake of family harmony. This study concludes that the practice of at-taradhi in inheritance distribution contains the value of maslahah because it preserves family harmony and the economic benefits of inherited property. However, equal participation among heirs remains important so that agreements truly arise from mutual willingness.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the socio-economic management of the Social Division of Ash-Shiddiq Mosque (DSM Ash-Shiddiq) from the perspective of Islamic economics. The study focuses on the transformation of mosque social functions, humanitarian service practices, implementation of ta’awun and maslahah values, operational sustainability strategies, and social impacts on the community. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving administrators, volunteers, and related parties. The analysis was conducted descriptively and interpretatively by linking empirical findings with Islamic economic perspectives. The findings reveal that DSM has transformed from a funeral assistance unit into a mosque-based social organization providing ambulance services, funeral management, social assistance, clean water pipeline projects, and disaster relief programs. These services are implemented through flexible and participatory mechanisms supported by inter-community volunteer networks such as Satda Indonesia, MBA, and AMI. DSM’s practices reflect the implementation of ta’awun, maslahah, and distributive justice through cross-subsidy mechanisms and community-needs-based services. Despite financial limitations, volunteer dependency, and bureaucratic barriers, DSM has maintained its sustainability through community solidarity and adaptive participation-based strategies.

Abstract

Contemporary Islamic economic discourse frequently highlights how Sharia business ethics are integrated into the activities of micro-entrepreneurs. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the marketing mix strategy (4P) among culinary MSMEs in the Tawangsari Village Takjil Market, Tulungagung, and to evaluate its compliance with muamalah principles. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative method with a field research approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with the Head of Tawangsari Village as the policy initiator and a purposive sample of 8 active culinary MSME actors. The research findings indicate that the merchants have implemented the 4P strategy synergistically and in alignment with Sharia rules. The product element meets halalan thayyiban criteria, price-setting reflects the principle of justice (al-adl) without manipulation (tadlis), the place arrangement is based on public interest (maslahah mursalah), and the promotion prioritizes honesty (shiddiq). This paper contributes theoretically to Islamic marketing management literature by integrating the analysis of formal economic protection policies at the village level (free-stall schemes) with the tactical practices of small business actors. In conclusion, enforcing muamalah values in seasonal markets proves crucial for strengthening consumer loyalty while serving as a model for clean, orderly, and sustainable community-based economic incubation.
