Abstract

This study analyzes the quality management system implementation in the construction project of the UPI Tasikmalaya campus lecture building. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with document analysis, the study evaluates the conformity level of the quality management system with ISO 9001:2015 standards and identifies factors that support and hinder its implementation. Secondary data, including technical specifications, project plans, and quality documents, were analyzed systematically. The findings indicate that most elements of the quality management system meet ISO 8001:2015 standards, especially in the documentation of quality plans and external supplier control. However, internal audit implementation requires improvement to enhance overall quality control. Key hindrances include dependence on external suppliers, delays in supervisor approvals, and inadequate structured inspections. On the other hand, detailed technical specifications, guaranteed materials from official suppliers, and a well-defined project team structure are significant supports. The study concludes that implementing a comprehensive internal audit system and structured field inspections can optimize quality management. Recommendations include diversifying material suppliers, simplifying approval processes, and enhancing routine quality monitoring.

Abstract

In a construction project, roof tiles and ceramics that are cracked (broken) are often thrown away as construction waste. Apart from that, house demolition activities also produce roof tile and ceramic shards that are not reused. No one has conducted research where this wastes is used as a substitute for cement. This research aims to determine the effect of roof tile and ceramic fragments as a substitute for cement on the compressive strength value of concrete. Experimental methods were used in this research. Observations were carried out at the structure and materials laboratory, Ketapang State Polytechnic. The results of the research show that the effect of using tile and ceramic fragments as a substitute for cement with varying percentages of 5% tile, 5% ceramic, 5% tile and ceramic, and 10% tile and ceramic in concrete has an effect on the compressive strength value. The greater the percentage of tile and ceramic fragments used in the concrete mixture, the more the compressive strength value of the concrete will decrease. The average compressive strength of concrete at 7 days between normal concrete and concrete with varing percentages of 5% tile, 5% ceramic, 5% tile and ceramic, and 10% tile and ceramic has a comparative value of 12.76 M.Pa, 12.03 MPa, 12.16 MPa, and 11.03 MPa. The average estimated compressive strength of concrete aged 28 days has comparative values of 19.00 MPa, 18.51 MPa, 18.71 MPa, 17.43 MPa, and 16.97 MPa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of FS 45-grade concrete in rigid pavement for the reconstruction of the Baros-Petir Road. FS 45 concrete, with a minimum compressive strength of 45 MPa and flexural strength of 5–6 MPa, is designed to withstand heavy traffic loads, particularly from vehicles such as trucks. Testing involved the analysis of compressive and flexural strength using cylindrical samples (150 mm in diameter and 300 mm in height) and beam samples (150 mm x 150 mm x 600 mm) at 7 and 28 days. The concrete mixing process followed a Design Mix Formula, ensuring optimal material proportions and strength. Results revealed that FS 45 concrete achieved an average compressive strength of 42.81 MPa and an average flexural strength of 5.5 MPa, meeting the minimum quality standards of 39.7 MPa and 4.4 MPa, respectively. The concrete demonstrated excellent durability against heavy traffic loads, enhanced the pavement's service life, and reduced long-term maintenance costs. Factors such as subgrade conditions, drainage systems, and construction processes were identified as critical elements for successful rigid pavement implementation. This research contributes significantly to improving transportation infrastructure, offering a more durable and efficient solution, particularly for roads with high traffic intensity.

Abstract

Indonesia frequently experiences natural disasters such as earthquakes. This is due to the fact that geologically, Indonesia is located on the convergence of four tectonic plates. Therefore, buildings must be designed to minimize construction failures. According to SNI 2847:2019, one method for designing earthquake-resistant reinforced concrete buildings is the Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMK). The SRPMK system can be applied to the construction of high-rise buildings, such as the Nawasena Hotel in Singkawang, West Kalimantan, with a height of 14 floors. Based on the cone penetration test (CPT), the soil at the construction site is categorized as SD. Additionally, according to the structural response category, the hotel falls into risk category II. The structural planning of the Nawasena hotel used earthquake analysis based on the spectrum response, which refers to SNI 1726:2019. The analysis results obtained 140 mm floor slab and 125 mm roof. Beams used 800/600 mm and 550/450 mm for primary beams, 400/300 mm for secondary beams, and 600/400 mm for tie beams. Columns used 1200/1000 mm and 650/800 mm. The foundation consists of a raft pile with dimensions of 25 m x 41 m (Building A), 19.45 m x 41 m (Building B), and 35.43 m x 41 m (Building C). In Building A, there was a significant drift of 55.396 mm (x-direction) and 52.470 mm (y-direction), requiring shear walls.

Abstract

Proper planning for a construction project is a vital thing that supports the success of the project. Success in a construction project can be seen from the timeliness and costs that have been determined and planned. During the construction implementation process, delays often occur resulting in temporary stops in a construction project. Therefore, control is needed to overcome deviations that occur, one of which is through the Earned Value Analysis method. The aim of this research is to control the project and identify performance, cost and time indicators in more detail through in-depth analysis. Research on this multi-storey building project occurred under budget in the 1st week to the 37th week because CPI > 1 and over budget occurred in the 38th to 44th week because the CPI < 1. Meanwhile, in the 18th week to the 37th week there was a project delay because the SPI < 1. Based on estimates, there will be an additional cost of 12.80% and an additional time of 4 days. Therefore, there is a need for a solution to overcome time delays or reduce cost overruns.
