Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pemanfaatan sarana prasarana kerja dan self capacity building terhadap kinerja tenaga administrasi sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dilakukan terhadap 109 tenaga administrasi sekolah. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, pemanfaatan sarana prasarana berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja tenaga administrasi sekolah pada kategori sangat tinggi. Hal ini dapat dijelaskan dari tingginya hubungan kedua dimensi pemanfaatan sarana prasarana kerja terhadap kinerja yang diukur yaitu berdasarkan prinsip dan fungsi sarana prasarana kerja. Self capacity building juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja tenaga administrasi sekolah meskipun berpengaruh pada kategori sedang. Hal ini teridentifikasi dari rendahnya hubungan lima indikator self capacity building terhadap kinerja tenaga administrasi sekolah yang diukur, yaitu workshop, seminar, courses, co-operative collegial development, dan skill development model. Pemerintah hendaknya lebih memperhatikan ketersediaan, kelayakan dan kenyamanan sarana prasarana kerja serta mengadakan berbagai pelatihan yang ditujukan untuk tenaga administrasi sekolah dalam upaya meningkatkan capacity building tenaga administrasi sekolah dapat bekerja.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisa pengaruh pemanfaatan fasilitas belajar dan kinerja staf Program Studi terhadap mutu layanan akademik Program Studi di Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket. Adapun subjek yang dijadikan sampel adalah mahasiswa dari 36 Program Studi yang ada di Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia yang berjumlah 352 mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gambaran umum mutu layanan akademik Program Studi di Sekolah Pascasarjana  Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia berada pada kategori tinggi. Sedangkan untuk pemanfaatan fasilitas belajar berada pada kategori cukup, dan kinerja staf Program Studi berada pada kategori baik. Secara parsial pemanfaatan fasilitas dan kinerja staf Program Studi memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap mutu layanan akademik Program Studi. Begitu juga sama halnya jika dilihat secara simultan bahwa pemanfaatan fasilitas belajar dan kinerja staf Program Studi sama memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap mutu layanan akademik Program Studi.Abstract This study aims to describe and analyze the effect of learning facilities utilization and study program staff performance towards quality of academic services for study program at the School of Postgraduate Studies Indonesia University of Education. The methode used in this study is a survey methode with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The sampled-subject are students from 36 existing courses at the School of Postgraduate Studies Indonesia University of Education amounting to 352 student. The result show that the general picture of the quality of academic services for study program at School of Postgraduate Studies Indonesia University of Education are in the category. As for the use of learning facilities in the fairly well category, and study program staff performance is in the good category. In partial, utilization of the facilities and study program staff performance have a significant influence on the quality of academic services for study program. So is the same as if seen that the simultaneous learning facilities utilization and study program staff performance a significant influence on the quality of academic services for study program.

Abstract

Komitmen Gubernur Jawa Barat dan para bupati/walikota membutuhkan pola pembiayaanyang tepat sesuai dengan kebutuhan penyelenggaraan pendidikan yang bermutu. Penelitian ini bermaksud menggambarkan kondisi biaya operasional, biaya investasi, dan biaya personal pada sekolah bermutu tinggi, sedang dan rendah per siswa per tahun untuk  Sekolah Dasar (SD), Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), dan Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA)  di Jawa Barat, beserta peta pembiayaan pendidikan dasar dan menengah di Jawa Barat dilihat dari biaya operasi, investasi,  dan biaya personal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif, populasi 26 kab./kota di Jawa Barat dengan asumsi homogenitas pada sumber penelitian ditetapkan secara purposif 12 kab./kota dengan 228 responden yang terdiri dari pihak sekolah, dinas pendidikan kab./kota, dan orang tua siswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan biaya operasional SD bermutu tinggi, sedang dan rendah per siswa per tahun mencapai masing-masing Rp 760,384.62; Rp Rp 388,320.92; dan 212,624.05. Di SMP sebesar Rp 1,634,722.26; Rp 503,651.39; dan Rp 241,179.80. Sedangkan di SMA sebesar Rp 2.140.417.00; Rp 1.524.909.00; dan Rp 951.721.00. Biaya investasi mencapai di SD, SMP, dan SMA per siswa per tahun pada sekolah yang dikategorikan bermutu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah masing-masing: SD: Rp 2,453,846.15; Rp 1,473,572.30; dan 28,190.84. di SMP: Rp 1,728,367.74; Rp 1,241,280.59; dan Rp 242,834.34. di SMA: Rp 5.329.500.000; Rp 713.905.000; dan Rp 384.226.500. Biaya personal pada kategori yang sama, di SD sebesar: Rp 11,788,000.00; Rp 3,163,450.00; dan 1,740,000.00. Di SMP mencapai Rp 8,930,000.00; Rp 5,209,300.00; dan Rp 2,720,000.00. Di SMA mencapai: Rp4.148.000,00; Rp 3.515.000,00, dan Rp 2.020.000,00. Pemda Propinsi Jabar juga memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam pembiayaan penyelenggaraan pendidikan dasar dan menengah (SD, SMP, dan SMA). Rata-rata pemenuhan biaya operasional untuk SD mencapai 6,44%, SMP mencapai 25,85% dan SMA mencapai 11,80%.

Abstract

The important role of private universities is increasingly felt in the midst of the limited number of state universities. Private universities are proven to be able to accommodate 300% more students than state universities. Thus, so that human resources are qualified, the quality of private higher education institutions needs to have a serious concern from the leader. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that wants to capture the performance of private universities based on the quality and performance of lecturers, management performance and learning outcomes. The study was conducted at 4 (four) private universities in Bandung and Cimahi, West Java Province which had educational characteristics. The used data are obtained from documents and are strengthened by data from surveys and interviews for each variable of university performance. All data were quantified using a Likert scale and categorized into four qualifications namely very good, good, moderate, and low, and analyzed the correlation with student learning outcomes. The results of the study indicate that the performance components of private universities, in general, need to be improved because they are still in moderate qualifications. The management component has the highest score, followed by sequential components of lecturer quality and lecturer performance. In general,  student learning outcomes  are also in the moderate category. The three components analyzed have a very strong influence on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Efforts to achieve educational goals can’t be separated from the performance of schools in realizing these goals, to achieve this involves many parties and factors that influence it. This study aims to describe the impact of principal’s leadership and teacher’s teaching performance in an effort to increase school effectiveness. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Population are 466 schools, samples of 210 schools were taken by proportionated stratified random sampling technique, and a total of 2,730 respondents consisted of principals, teachers, students, and school committees. The instrument used was a questionnaire, data processing techniques using the Structural Equation Model. The results indicate that principals’ leadership and teachers’ teaching performance positively and significantly influence school effectiveness, which means that school effectiveness directly determined by the presence of effective principal’s leadership and high teacher teaching performance. The principal's leadership as a driver variable is proven to be able to trigger the teaching performance of teachers to increase school effectiveness. The high effectiveness of this school is inseparable from the effective teacher’s teaching performance. Teachers' teaching performance must be continuously improved to improve school effectiveness. This teaching performance can be improved through the principal's leadership role.

Abstract

Abstrak: Daya Prediksi Hasil Uji Kompetensi Siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Bidang Keahlian Teknik Bangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan daya prediksi hasil uji kompetensi siswa SMK Bidang Keahlian Teknik Bangunan Program Keahlian Gambar Bangunan terhadap kesempatan kerja di bidang konstruksi bangunan. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian deskriptif analitik. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa pada SMK Negeri di Kota Bandung Bidang Keahlian Teknik Bangunan Program Keahlian Gambar Bangunan, sedangkan sampel adalah siswa SMK sebanyak 90 orang siswa. Data hasil uji kompetensi diperoleh dengan metode dokumentasi, sedangkan data tentang kesempatan kerja di bidang konstruksi bangunan diperoleh dengan angket. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Gambaran umum hasil uji kompetensi siswa SMK Bandung Bidang Keahlian Teknik Bangunan Program Keahlian Gambar Bangunan sebesar 70% berada pada kategori baik. (2) Kesesuaian kompetensi yang diujikan dengan tugas pekerjaan di bidang konstruksi bangunan termasuk kategori baik. (3) Daya prediksi didasarkan pada besarnya sumbangan yang diberikan oleh hasil uji kompetensi dalam merebut kesempatan kerja di bidang konstruksi bangunan sebesar 20,1%. Dengan uji kompetensi diharapkan siswa dapat memunyai kompetensi yang sesuai dengan dunia kerja sehingga memunyai kesempatan kerja yang lebih besar. Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the partnership of vocational schools with business and industry through the education leadership model. The research used a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method. Proportionated stratified random sampling technique was used in this research. A total of 1.630 respondents consists of principals, the head of the expertise program, the deputy principal for curriculum, the deputy principal for public relations, and teachers who participated in this research. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The data analysis used was multiple regression. The results showed that the BEACCTIVE model could be a determining factor for the success of establishing a partnership. The reason is that the partnerships were developed through the formulation of plans, human resource management, decision making, and the ability of school principals to attract business and industry. The school's partnership with business and industry has a good fit and improves through programs centred on students' skills and expertise aligned with standards of business and industry, the business and industry that actively support the educational practices at schools and the absorption of graduates in various industrial sectors.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of internal quality assurance at Pacific Morotai University and provide detailed findings regarding the constraints faced by the Pacific Morotai University Quality Assurance Institute (LPM), North Maluku. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study method at the Pacific University of Morotai, North Maluku; Data was collected based on document search, observation, and interviews. The results of the study show that the implementation of internal quality assurance at Pacific Morotai University faces the problem of a lack of auditors who have an understanding and a number of human resources in carrying out monitoring and evaluation tasks. The technical implementing unit formed by LPM in carrying out its duties only consists of six people spread across six faculties with details of one person for each faculty. The impact is due to the lack of auditors who are experts in quality assurance, so that it has an impact on quality assurance or external accreditation. In fact, the university does not yet have institutional accreditation status and eleven study programs have the same accreditation rating, namely C. Thus, the implementation of quality assurance is not carried out optimally and properly monitored, making it difficult to measure university quality achievements in setting higher education standards.

Abstract

The study aims to analyse and describe the challenges in managing academic services in college during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study focused on the object of research in the Division of Education Services Education Directorate UPI. The qualitative descriptive method is used as the main method in this research. The data collecting process is conducted through observation and interview with the unit leader of the Education Service Division, the Directorate of Education UPI. The resulting research shows that there are so many challenges that are faced and of course require special problem solving in serving education service users in the midst of the pandemic. The roles of organizational leader are crucial to making the right decision in the face of challenges. Academic services would be effective if each person committed and cooperated in providing the best service to the users. It also would succeed if it was supported by utilizing information technology that can be accessed easily by the services users.

Abstract

Tuntutan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah semakin kompleks dan dibutuhkan dalam proses penyelenggraan pendidikan kejuruan (SMK) untuk menciptakan lulusan yang inovatif, berkualitas dan memiliki daya saing sesuai standar dan kondisi industri. Selain itu, keberanian kepala sekolah dalam mengambil risiko melakukan perubahan dan terobosan-terobosan yang dibuat sebagai upaya pemenuhan penyelarasan kebutuhan dan tuntutan DUDI penting dimiliki. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk dapat memberikan gambaran beserta jawaban dari masalah penelitian terkait kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Infroman penelitian yaitu 1) pemimpin, 2) wakil kepala bidang kurikulum, 3) wakil kepala bidang hubungan industri, 4) kepala program, dan 5) guru. Wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi dilakukan sebagai pengumpulan data dalam penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMKN 2 Kota Bogor dapat berperan sebagai penggerak perubahan yang mampu membangun kemitraan dengan DUDI melalui program-program sekolah berbasis indutri, sehingga mampu menyerap lulusan di berbagai perusahaan atau industri kemitraan yang telah dilaksanakan diantaranya sinkronisasi kurikulum, PKL, TEFA, UJIKOM, kelas industri, magang guru, guest teacher, BKK dan recruitment. Kesimpulan penelitian ini bahwa pengelolaan SMK dibutuhkan  manajerial skill kepala sekolah dalam merespon perubahan dan perkembangan DUDI bagi kemajuan sekolah.
