Abstract

Emotional maturity is the tendency to respond to everything that happens with mature emotions according to the age level and norms that apply in society. Psychological well-being is one of the things that can affect the condition of an individual’s psychological well-being. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional maturity and psychological well-being in early marriage couples. This research uses quantitative correlational research. The population in this study amounted to 62 people. Sampling using purposive sampling. This study uses the Product Moment test. From the results of this study, it was found that there was a positive relationship between emotional maturity and psychological well-being in Tomini District, with p = 0.12 (<0.05) and the correlation coefficient r = 0.288. The scale used is the emotional maturity scale and the psychological well-being scale. The higher the emotional maturity of the early married couple, the lower the psychological well-being of the early married couple and vice versa

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Muhammadiyah University of Gorontalo. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of self-regulation in learning with Academic Procrastination of Nursing Science students. The research method used in this study is a quantitative correlational research method of rank spearmen. The sample in this study amounted to 63 people. The sampling method is purposive sampling. In this study, it shows that self-regulation in nursing students' learning is mostly in the moderate category, namely 49 people 77.8%. while academic procrastination is also in the moderate category with 45 people 71.4%. It can be concluded that the data analysis between the variables of self-regulation in learning and academic procrastination in nursing students has a correlation coefficient of r = -0.545 with p = 0.000. These results indicate that there is a  negative relationship between self-regulation in learning and academic procrastination. The higher the self-regulation in learning, the lower the academic procrastination of nursing students.

Abstract

Adolescents who live in Islamic Boarding Schools are prone to experiencing self-acceptance problems. The ability to accept one’s self can be influenced by one of their social support. The study aims to determine the relationship between social support and self-acceptance in adolescents at Al Islam Islamic Boarding School, Gorontalo Regency. Quantitative research with a cross-sectional study approach. The independent variable is social support, while the dependent variable is self-acceptance. The population is adolescents in seventh grade with as many as 228 people. The sample was 45 people with a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed using product moment and linearity tests. The results showed that adolescents at Al-Islam Islamic Boarding School mostly had moderate social support (62.2%) and moderate self-acceptance (57.8%). The results of the analysis obtained a significance value (ρ) of 0.001, an F deviation from linearity value of 1.096, and a p-value of 0.403 (>0.05). It is concluded that there is a relationship between social support and adolescent self-acceptance at Al-Islam Islamic Boarding School, Gorontalo Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between self-adjustment and juvenile delinquency in students of SMP Negeri 1 Telaga. With a quantitative research design approach. Sampling with clustered random sampling technique and a research sample of 71 students. The measuring instrument uses two questionnaires: the self-adjustment questionnaire and juvenile delinquency. The data analysis method uses product-moment correlation. The results of this study show that there is a correlation coefficient value of r = 0.333 with sig ≤ a 0,004 p=0,05, with a sign of moderate relationship closeness and a negative sign in the results that the higher the self-adjustment, the lower the juvenile delinquency.

Abstract

Children's social interaction skills develop according to the stages of their developmental age. The achievement of the stage of social development requires the role of parents in providing stimulation that affects the child's social interaction ability. Parenting provided by parents is able to become a model in learning children's behavior from parent figures, therefore children can apply how to interact and have reciprocal relationships with friends their age. This research aims to determine the effect of democratic parenting with the social interaction of pre- school children with the research location in Bulila Telaga Village. This type of research is quantitative, with a sample of 40 parents. The instrument used is a scale of democratic parenting and a scale of social interaction of pre-school children. With purposive sampling technique, the data analysis used was simple linear regression analysis. With the results there is an influence of democratic parenting with social interaction of pre-school children with a value of 0.003. Based on the calculation analysis in this research, it was obtained from the t count of -3.196 while the ttable value of 2.021 thus H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, that there is an influence of democratic parenting on social interaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between peer social support and adjustment in Papuan overseas students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Gorontalo. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire in the form of a peer social support scale and a self-adjustment scale. The sampling technique in this study used total sampling with a total sample of 23 respondents. Data analysis uses a product-moment correlation of 0.040 with a p-value <0.05, meaning that there is a positive and significant relationship between peer social support and adjustment to Papuan students, this shows that the higher the peer social support, the higher the adjustment and vice versa.

Abstract

Short term memory is the process of storing information in memory for a temporary period of time. Color serves as a powerful information channel for the human cognitive system and has a significant role in improving memory work. This study aims to examine the effect of color use on short-term memory ability in psychology students. This study involved two groups of participants, namely the experimental group who were given colored animal images (chromatic) and the control group who were given black-and-white images (achromatic). Data was collected through pre-test and post-test to measure the amount of information that could be remembered by the participants. Normality test using Shapiro-Wilk showed that the pre-test data of the experimental and control groups were normally distributed, while the post-test data of the control group were not normally distributed. Therefore, the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used for data analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the experimental group that was given colored pictures showed a significant improvement in recall (Asymp. Sig. = 0.018), while the control group showed no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test (Asymp. Sig. = 0.182). These results indicate that the use of color has a positive effect on short-term memory ability. This study contributes to the understanding of how color can be used to improve memory, with practical implications in the design of more effective learning materials and learning spaces.
