Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the challenges faced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in fulfilling their halal certification obligations under the Halal Product Assurance (JPH) Law. Literacy and technical barriers in the certification process often hinder the potential for economic independence of MSMEs. Therefore, the Majelis Taklim Contact Body (BKMT) was identified as a strategic partner with a strong community base to reach home-based MSMEs and raise halal awareness at the family level. This community service program aims to increase the awareness and economic capacity of BKMT members and their mentored MSMEs. Specifically, this activity includes increasing understanding of JPH, technical training on developing a Halal Assurance System (SJH), and intensive mentoring to facilitate the acquisition of Halal Certification. The community service implementation method uses a participatory and educational-applicative approach, divided into four stages: preparation (needs identification), outreach (halal education and regulations), technical mentoring (SJH implementation and SiHalal registration), and evaluation and sustainability. The main outcomes of this program are increased literacy and public awareness of the importance of halal certification, the acquisition of Halal Certificates for MSME members of the BKMT, the provision of materials for socialization and assistance with halal certification, and the establishment of a Halal Task Force within the BKMT as a model for sustainability. Thus, this program is expected to achieve Sharia-based economic independence for the community by increasing the competitiveness of MSMEs and ensuring the right and awareness of halal product consumption for Muslim families.

Abstract

The current surge in requests for marriage dispensations among the public has attracted considerable interest in further examining the situation. This community service aims to provide insight and knowledge based on an analysis of the essence of marriage dispensations from an Islamic legal perspective. This activity was conducted online using the Zoom platform. This community service delivered legal dissemination by providing a review of court decisions regarding marriage dispensations for young men and women in the Karang Taruan community of Sidoharjo Village, Sragen. This community service material provides an analysis of the essence of dispensations granted for various reasons, such as premarital pregnancy, arranged marriages, and economic constraints. Dispensations have both positive impacts and negative impacts. In Islamic law, there is no specific age limit for marriage. The views of contemporary scholars vary. This research is expected to provide recommendations for Religious Courts to prioritize the interests of children, as well as the need for education on the negative impacts of early marriage as a provision and capital for children in the future, so as to minimize the risk of increasing early marriage and realize marriages that comply with religious law and state regulations. This community service activity has had a positive impact on youth Karang Taruna with a significant increase in the level of understanding and critical awareness of participants regarding the legal and sociological aspects and the negative impacts of disproportionate marriage dispensations.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) was conducted at SMA Negeri 6 Sungai Raya with the aim of improving students’ Qur’anic literacy and religious character through the implementation of the Action Learning and Uswah Hasanah (Role Modeling) methods. The Action Learning approach emphasizes students’ active participation in real religious activities, while the Uswah Hasanah method positions teachers as moral exemplars in shaping students’ behavior. The program was carried out through four stages—observation, planning, action, and reflection—integrated with the habituation of religious values. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ Qur’anic reading and writing skills, worship discipline, and involvement in religious activities. Furthermore, the school environment became more religious, respectful, and collaborative. In conclusion, the synergy between teacher role modeling and student engagement effectively fosters a sustainable character education ecosystem within the school setting.
