<![CDATA[Modern Islamic philosopher and commentator Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri helped advance the study of Quranic interpretation today. His critical thinking of Arabic reason made him famous among academics. Abid Al Jabiri's "revivalism" spirit motivated his criticism. In this case, the concept is related to the revival of Islam and efforts to change society. Abid Al Jabiri considered the current Islamic revival to be unsuccessful or even considered a failure. Based on this, Abid Al Jabiri wrote the next trilogy. This trilogy begins with his concern about the modern Arab discourse that cannot solve the problem of Islamic revival. The inaccuracy of Arabs in handling traditions (turats) is a factor that causes the Islamic revival to fail. Based on the perception of differences, the dialectic of understanding of contemporary Arab backwardness versus the dialectic of modern Western progress, the urgency of the Islamic revival does not depend on the orientation of development or its facts. According to al-Jabiri, formulating "the revival of Islamic civilization" is not easy, even unable to achieve progress, either in scientific planning or proportional utopian vision. After that, Al-Jabiri focused on turats (Islamic traditions), studying them and understanding them objectively to gain new insights. The main goal of Al-Jabiri's thinking on the whole turats is to realize socially transformative knowledge while maintaining the sustainability of the Islamic civilization revival program. This article examines Al-Jabiri's rational critique through the perspective of the bayani, irfani, and burhani epistemological trilogy and its implications for the development of modern Islamic economics. The main focus of this study is how the concept of rational critique can be applied to support the progress of Islam, especially in the context of Islamic economic theory and practice. This study highlights the relevance of Al-Jabiri's approach in formulating a more critical and progressive framework for Islamic economic thinking, while also responding to the challenges of modernization. This article also analyzes the contribution of the epistemological trilogy to strengthening Islamic financial practices in a global context. The research findings show that this integrative approach is not only relevant to the development of Islamic economics but also offers a solid foundation for innovation in facing the dynamics of the modern economy.]]>

<![CDATA[Ijtihad Bahtsul Masail Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in the field of economics, which seeks to answer contemporary challenges while remaining rooted in the tradition of Islamic knowledge. NU's approach prioritizes the continuity of the transmission of Islamic knowledge through a legitimate and trusted chain, using classical fiqh books, especially the Shafi'i school of thought. The purpose of this study is to understand the relevance and effectiveness of collective ijtihad carried out by NU in answering modern economic issues such as Islamic banking, investment, e-commerce, and digital payment systems. The method used in this study is a literature study by reviewing literature related to classical fiqh books, journals, and relevant scientific articles. The results of the study show that Bahtsul Masail NU has made a significant contribution to developing Islamic economic law that is relevant to the development of the times. LBM NU not only answers contemporary issues, such as online investment and e-commerce, but also plays a role in forming sharia-based economic policies implemented by the community. However, this study also notes challenges, such as maintaining the consistency of the ijtihad method and answering complex issues without sacrificing the basic principles of sharia.]]>

<![CDATA[Waqf plays an important role and offers significant contributions in various sectors, especially in the advancement of Islamic boarding school education. The purpose of this study is to explore the implementation of productive waqf development as a means of educational empowerment at the Daarul Qolam Binjai Islamic Boarding School. The approach used in this study is qualitative descriptive. This research was conducted at the Daarul Qolam Islamic boarding school in Binjai, where data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data verification was carried out through triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that first, the strategy of developing productive waqf for educational empowerment at the Daarul Qolam Binjai Islamic Boarding School aims to increase the independence of the pesantren and develop human resources as business actors through various assets and programs managed by the Daarul Qolam Binjai Islamic Boarding School Waqf Agency. Second, the productive waqf mechanism is implemented through a systematic, detailed, and in accordance with legal provisions. Third, the development of productive waqf plays a crucial role in the progress and welfare of the education of students at the Daarul Qolam Binjai Islamic Boarding School. The form includes the allocation of productive waqf utilization which is prioritized on strengthening Islamic boarding schools and support for education, including the provision of logistics, infrastructure development, facilities and infrastructure, and Islamic boarding school operations, which are partly sourced from the surplus of productive waqf assets.]]>

This article aims to explore various aspects of plagiarism, including definitions, types, and its impact on scholarly and industry communities. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review and analysis of case studies to illustrate the prevalence and motivations behind plagiaristic behaviors. The findings indicate that acts of plagiarism not only harm the individuals involved but also undermine trust and the values of honesty within the academic and professional communities at large. This study also highlights efforts to prevent plagiarism and the importance of ethics education in promoting dignified and respectful writing practices.]]>

<![CDATA[The function of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) in overseeing Indonesian sharia insurance providers is examined in this study. This study examines how DPS fulfills its responsibilities to guarantee adherence to sharia principles in insurance operations and products using qualitative approaches based on a review of the literature. As a supervisor and advisor in sharia financial institutions, DPS is crucial. However, because of a lack of expertise in the sharia insurance industry and a shortage of human resources, DPS performance is still subpar, according to this study. The analysis's findings highlight how crucial it is to improve DPS's role and capabilities through pertinent education and training in order to boost the effectiveness of sharia supervision in the insurance industry.]]>

<![CDATA[In the implementation of the manufacture of BioSolar or BioDiesel fuel, the government uses a hybrid concept which is by mixing diesel from petroleum with Crude Palm Oil (CPO), this policy is useful in saving the country's foreign exchange where the government reduces the amount of petroleum imports and replaces it with CPO from within the country. Because Indonesia is one of the largest CPO producing countries in the world, through this policy the government can make better use of Indonesia's natural resources. <![CDATA[This study aims to analyze participants’ understanding and compliance with sharia principles in the sharia insurance claim process in Indonesia. Sharia insurance, which is based on the principle of mutual assistance and tabarru’ contract, is expected to provide protection in accordance with Islamic law. However, challenges arise in its operational practices, especially in the claim process. This study uses a qualitative approach by interviewing sharia insurance participants to explore their level of understanding of sharia principles, claim procedures, and challenges faced during the claim process. The results of the study indicate that participants’ understanding of sharia principles is still limited, which has an impact on their lack of clarity in undergoing the claim procedure. Some of the main challenges identified include administrative constraints, long claim processing times, and unclear claim procedures. Lack of understanding of sharia principles also worsens the smoothness of claims. Based on these findings, this study suggests the importance of increasing sharia literacy through training, seminars, and educational materials that are easy for participants to understand. In addition, simplification of claim procedures is needed to increase transparency and ensure that the claim process is in accordance with sharia principles. The implication of this study is the importance of improvements in the education system and operations of sharia insurance to improve participant understanding and compliance, as well as strengthen trust in the sharia insurance industry in Indonesia.]]>
