Abstract

This study examines the relationship between purchasing decisions and brand trust at PT Publisher Erlangga Mahamaru, located in the South Jakarta area. The primary objective of this research is to investigate the direct and indirect effects of promotion, product knowledge, and price fairness on purchasing decisions, with brand trust serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed, and data were collected from a sample of 229 customers of PT Publisher Erlangga Mahamaru. The data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM), which is appropriate for testing complex relationships among multiple variables. The findings indicate that promotion, product knowledge, and price fairness each have a significant direct impact on purchasing decisions. Additionally, both promotion and product knowledge are found to have a significant positive effect on brand trust, whereas price fairness does not significantly affect brand trust. Furthermore, the study reveals indirect effects through the mediating role of brand trust: promotion and product knowledge influence purchasing decisions through brand trust, confirming its mediating effect for these two variables. In contrast, price fairness does not exhibit a significant indirect effect on purchasing decisions via brand trust. These results highlight the critical roles of promotion and product knowledge in fostering brand trust and ultimately enhancing purchasing decisions. In contrast, while price fairness contributes directly to purchasing decisions, it does not strengthen brand trust. Therefore, managers should prioritize strategies that improve promotional activities and increase customers’ product knowledge to build brand trust, which in turn can drive stronger purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture on the quality of financial reporting in Sharia Rural Bank (BPRS) in Indonesia, by examining the mediating roles of risk management implementation, innovation, and sustainability reporting. The primary issue addressed in this research is the high closure rate of BPRS, which is largely attributed to the lack of integrity and transparency in financial reporting. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing purposive sampling techniques to collect data from 129 respondents, including directors, managers, and division heads across various BPRS institutions. Data were gathered through an online questionnaire and analyzed using the SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that organizational culture has a significant positive effect on risk management effectiveness, innovation, and sustainability reporting, all of which subsequently contribute to enhancing financial reporting quality. Moreover, the mediating variables are proven to strengthen the relationship between organizational culture and financial reporting quality. Based on these findings, it is recommended that BPRS institutions foster a corporate culture that promotes innovation, effective risk management, and sustainability in order to ensure reliable and Sharia-compliant financial reporting. Future research is encouraged to explore additional influencing factors, such as corporate governance and information technology, within the context of Islamic banking.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of social media and e-commerce on the marketing performance and sales levels of Bangka Belitung white pepper products, with marketing performance acting as a mediating variable. The research employs a quantitative approach and uses Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze data collected from local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The results indicate that social media has a significant positive effect on both marketing performance and sales levels, both directly and indirectly, highlighting its effectiveness as a marketing tool. This is attributed to its ease of access, wide reach, cost efficiency, and interactive capabilities, which enable MSMEs to engage directly with consumers and expand their market presence. In contrast, e-commerce does not demonstrate a significant impact on either marketing performance or sales levels. This lack of effect is likely due to limited adoption among MSMEs, who perceive e-commerce platforms as less practical because of registration complexities, associated fees, and concerns regarding consumer trust and payment security. The study suggests that while social media can be leveraged effectively for marketing Bangka Belitung white pepper, greater awareness, training, and support are needed to increase MSMEs’ engagement with e-commerce to enhance their overall sales and competitive performance in the digital market.

Abstract

Teacher performance plays a crucial role in determining the quality of education. Although some teachers have demonstrated good performance, issues such as low discipline, lack of participation, and weak collaboration among teachers are still found. This study investigates how competence, work culture, motivation, job satisfaction, and work environment affect the performance of teachers at Muhammadiyah high schools in Banyumas Regency. This study involved 149 teachers from Muhammadiyah high schools in Banyumas Regency. A quantitative survey method was used to analyze the SEM-PLS data after collecting data through an online questionnaire. The results show that competence, work culture, and work motivation do not have a significant effect. In contrast, job satisfaction and work environment have a positive and significant influence on teacher performance. These findings highlight that psychological and environmental aspects are more decisive in improving teacher performance than technical factors. In line with Goal Setting Theory, environmental support and individual satisfaction are key to achieving work goals. Practically, these results imply that Muhammadiyah schools should focus more on creating a healthy work environment and improving teacher well-being. Theoretically, this research also enriches the development of performance models based on psychosocial aspects.

Abstract

The digital transformation of the financial sector has spurred innovative collaborations between financial technology (fintech) firms and digital banks, creating new paradigms for growth. A primary challenge for digital banks is the rapid and cost-effective acquisition of Third-Party Funds (DPK), which is crucial for liquidity and lending capacity. This study addresses the problem of how strategic integration between a super-app's fintech arm and a digital bank can serve as an effective mechanism for accelerating DPK growth. The research objective is to conduct an in-depth analysis of the collaboration model between GoPay, a leading fintech platform in Indonesia, and Bank Jago, a technology-based bank, and its subsequent impact on Bank Jago's DPK accumulation. This research employs a qualitative case study methodology, using secondary data analysis of audited financial statements, official corporate press releases, reputable industry reports, and academic literature. The findings reveal that the seamless integration of Bank Jago's services into the Gojek super-app ecosystem functions as a highly efficient customer acquisition funnel. This model significantly lowers traditional barriers to banking, converting millions of transactional e-money users into formal bank depositors. The analysis of Bank Jago's financial data demonstrates a substantial and sustained increase in its TPF, particularly in low-cost Current Account Savings Account (CASA) funds, following the strategic integration. This study concludes that the embedded finance model, as exemplified by the GoPay-Jago partnership, represents a powerful strategy for digital banks to achieve scalable DPK growth by leveraging the vast user base and high engagement frequency of a super-app ecosystem.

Abstract

Urbanization has intensified the scarcity of green spaces and heightened psychological pressures in modern workplaces, underscoring the need for effective strategies to enhance employee well-being. This study investigates the influence of Green Spaces, Green Ambient Conditions, and Outdoor Green Environment on Employee Well-being, with Work Stress as a mediating variable. Using Covariance-Based Structural Equation Modelling (CB-SEM), data were collected from 315 office workers in Indonesia’s top 10 cities according to the 2024 Universitas Indonesia (UI) GreenCityMetric, reflecting high environmental sustainability. Results show Green Spaces have the strongest direct positive effect on Employee Well-being, while Green Ambient Conditions also contribute significantly. Outdoor Green Environment, however, does not directly affect well-being. Work Stress emerges as a key mediator, partially mediating the effect of Green Ambient Conditions and fully mediating the effect of Outdoor Green Environment on Employee Well-being. These findings highlight that fostering employee well-being requires a holistic approach, optimizing green spaces, enhancing ambient conditions, providing access to external green environments, and managing work stress, to create healthier, more sustainable workplaces.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Digital Financial Engagement (DFE) on Financial Preparedness (FP) among Generation Z college students in Indonesia, with Financial Literacy (FL) serving as a mediating variable. Employing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 231 Generation Z students who actively use digital financial services, and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS. The findings reveal that DFE has a positive and significant effect on both FL (β = 0.218; p < 0.001) and FP (β = 0.144; p < 0.001). Furthermore, FL exerts a strong positive influence on FP (β = 0.534; p < 0.001). The mediation test using the Sobel method confirms that FL partially mediates the relationship between DFE and FP (Z = 3.871; p < 0.001), suggesting the presence of both direct and indirect effects. Theoretically, this study enriches the literature on financial behavior by highlighting the role of digital financial practices in fostering preparedness for future financial needs. Practically, the results emphasize the importance of integrating financial literacy education into higher education curricula and promoting responsible engagement with digital financial platforms to enhance young adults’ financial readiness in an increasingly digitalized economy.

Abstract

This study examines the application of the Hexa-Helix coopetition framework in developing responsible tourism at Gunung Tunak Nature Tourism Park, Central Lombok. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, data were gathered through purposive and snowball sampling, in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis involving six stakeholder groups: government, academia, industry, community, media, and regulatory bodies. The findings reveal that responsible tourism is implemented through a co-management system that integrates the Triple Bottom Line dimensions—economic, social, and environmental sustainability—into tourism governance. The Hexa-Helix model fosters synergy by aligning diverse stakeholder roles, where cooperation and competition coexist to drive innovation, resource optimization, and competitiveness. Community empowerment programs, participatory decision-making, and policy institutionalization are identified as key drivers of sustainability. Practical strategies include capacity-building training, infrastructure improvement, and equitable benefit-sharing mechanisms, which strengthen both conservation outcomes and local livelihoods. Theoretically, this study advances the literature on sustainable tourism by embedding the concept of coopetition within the Hexa-Helix model, offering an adaptable framework for other destinations. Context-specific insights emphasize the critical role of local champions in bridging interests among stakeholders, ensuring long-term collaboration and resilience.
