Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of work-life balance, organizational commitment, and financial stress on turnover intention among retail employees, specifically focusing on the workforce at Surya Toserba in Cirebon City. High turnover intention in the retail sector has become a hidden crisis, driven by irregular working hours, weak emotional attachment to the company, and increasing economic pressures. Utilizing a quantitative associative approach, data were collected from 100 respondents using a simple random sampling technique. The analytical tool utilized in this research was multiple linear regression operated through SPSS software. The findings reveal that work-life balance and organizational commitment exert a significant and negative influence on turnover intention, acting as crucial mooring factors that retain employees. Conversely, financial stress demonstrates a significant and positive effect, serving as a strong push factor for employees to seek alternative employment. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly explain 83.4% of the variance in turnover intention. The study highlights that preventing employee turnover in the retail industry requires a holistic human resource strategy that accommodates flexible scheduling, fosters emotional attachment, and provides financial welfare support.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of psychological capital and workload on the performance of officers and non-commissioned officers at the Indonesian Army Infantry Education Center, with work engagement as a mediating variable. An explanatory quantitative survey approach was conducted on 100 trainers using total sampling and a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The analysis used linear regression and mediation tests. The results show that psychological capital and workload have a significant effect on performance and work engagement, while work engagement has no effect and does not mediate performance. These findings confirm that trainer performance is more directly determined by psychological capital and workload, so that strengthening psychological capital and effective workload management are important in professional military education.

Abstract

Early marriage remains one of the social problems that affects the quality of human resources and economic development in various regions of Indonesia, including the island of Kalimantan. This phenomenon is often associated with the socio-economic conditions of the community. However, empirical studies that specifically analyze the influence of macroeconomic factors on early marriage in this region are still limited. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Human Development Index (HDI), open unemployment rate, percentage of poor population, and inflation on the proportion of women aged 20–24 who were married before the age of 18 in Kalimantan Island. This research employs a quantitative approach using panel data from five provinces on Kalimantan Island during the 2018–2024 period, sourced from Statistics Indonesia (Badan Pusat Statistik). The analysis was conducted using panel data regression with the Fixed Effects Model (FEM) approach. The results indicate that the Human Development Index, open unemployment rate, and percentage of the poor population have a negative effect on early marriage. Meanwhile, inflation does not have a significant effect on early marriage. These findings suggest that improving the quality of human development and enhancing the economic conditions of society play an important role in reducing the practice of early marriage.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence Generation Z’s impulsive buying behaviour in the context of purchasing beauty products through e commerce platforms. The rapid growth of digital technology and online shopping has significantly changed consumer purchasing patterns, particularly among Generation Z, who are highly familiar with digital environments and social media. Impulsive buying behaviour is often triggered by various internal and external factors such as promotional offers, ease of access to online platforms, product attractiveness, and social media influence. This research uses a quantitative approach by collecting data from Generation Z consumers who have experience purchasing beauty products through e-commerce. Data were obtained through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using statistical analysis to identify the relationship between influencing variables and impulsive buying behaviour. The findings indicate that promotional strategies, product presentation, convenience of online transactions, and social influence play an important role in encouraging impulsive purchases among Generation Z consumers. Attractive discounts, limited-time offers, and visually appealing product displays on e-commerce platforms significantly increase the likelihood of unplanned purchases. In addition, recommendations from influencers and peer groups also contribute to shaping consumer decisions. Therefore, understanding these factors can help e-commerce businesses and beauty brands develop more effective marketing strategies to target Generation Z consumers while also encouraging more responsible purchasing behaviour.

Abstract

Abstract The development of social commerce has encouraged the increase in online shopping activities through platforms such as TikTok Shop among students. Ease of access, digital interaction, and services offered have the potential to influence consumers' purchasing decisions in making online transactions. This study aims to analyze the influence of ease of use, trust, and service quality on student purchasing decisions in Yogyakarta on the TikTok Shop platform. The research method used was quantitative with a causal associative design and a cross-sectional approach. The research sample amounted to 50 respondents who were selected using the purposive sampling technique, namely students who had made purchases through TikTok Shop. Data collection was carried out using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results of the study showed that ease of use, trust, and service quality partially had no significant effect on purchase decisions. Simultaneously, the three variables also had no significant effect with a determination coefficient value of 5.9%, which suggests that purchasing decisions were more influenced by other factors outside the research model. These findings confirm that factors such as price, promotion, trends, and content attractiveness have a more dominant role in driving student purchasing decisions on the TikTok Shop platform.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic factors on out-migration in Indonesia, with a focus on poverty, wage levels, labor force participation, and unemployment rates. The research utilizes panel data from 34 provinces across three observation periods—2010, 2015, and 2020—employing a quantitative approach through panel data regression. The Fixed Effects Model (FEM) is determined as the most appropriate model based on the Chow and Hausman tests. The estimation results indicate that poverty and labor force size have a positive effect on out-migration. Meanwhile, wage levels and unemployment rates do not show a significant impact. These findings suggest that regional economic disparities and labor market pressures drive population mobility to other areas. Therefore, policies focusing on reducing regional inequality, expanding employment opportunities, and strengthening local economic bases are needed. This study contributes to migration research through the use of nationally scaled panel data, which enables a more structured explanation of the spatial and temporal dynamics of out-migration in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of management accounting information, product innovation, and strategic management accounting on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with competitive advantage acting as an intervening variable. MSMEs play a significant role in supporting economic growth; however, they continue to face various challenges, including limited resources, increasingly intense business competition, and rapidly changing business environments. These conditions require MSME actors to effectively manage business information and strategies in order to improve their organizational performance. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to MSME actors who serve as the respondents of the study. The sampling technique applied in this research is purposive sampling, where respondents are selected based on specific criteria relevant to the objectives of the study. The collected data are analyzed using statistical analysis methods to examine the relationships among management accounting information, product innovation, strategic management accounting, competitive advantage, and MSME performance. The results of this study are expected to provide empirical evidence regarding the importance of utilizing management accounting information, developing product innovation, and implementing strategic management accounting in enhancing competitive advantage and improving MSME performance. Furthermore, this study is expected to contribute to the development of management accounting knowledge and serve as a reference for MSME practitioners in improving business performance in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the synergy between fiscal decentralization and regional expenditure in promoting inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data covering 33 provinces over the period 2017–2022. The analysis is conducted using the Fixed Effects Model (FEM), selected based on the results of the Chow test and Hausman test. The findings indicate that fiscal decentralization, as well as intergovernmental transfers and village funds, do not have a significant effect on inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. In contrast, regional expenditure has a positive effect on inclusive economic growth. These results suggest that the effectiveness of regional fiscal policy is determined more by the quality and allocation of public spending rather than by the magnitude of fiscal authority or the amount of transfers received by regions. This study highlights the importance of strengthening governance and optimizing productive expenditure to promote inclusive economic development in Indonesia.
