Abstract

Financial performance proxied by price to book value (PBV) will be greatly influenced by technical and fundamental factors as well as external factors. Technically for listed or public companies, it will be greatly influenced by the volume and frequency of transactions in the secondary market, while fundamentally it will be influenced by asset growth and the level of balance between the company's debt to equity ratio. External factors from the exchange rate and the Fed's interest rate will bring pressure on financial performance, especially if the exchange rate weakens and the Fed's interest rate rises, of course, financial performance will be affected by the increasingly high cost of capital. In this study, the dividend policy variable is included as a moderating variable to produce more comprehensive research outputs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the macroeconomic effect as measured by inflation, interest rates, world oil, exchange rate, and company financial performance as measured by the debt-to-equity ratio, debt-to-asset ratio, return on equity, and earnings per share on return in the LQ45 stock group on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2011–2022. The population in this study was 45; based on the purposive sampling technique, we obtained a sample of 15 companies. This type of research is quantitative with secondary data; the method used is panel data regression analysis using the Common Effect Model approach. The results of the F test found that inflation, interest rates, world oil, exchange rate, debt-to-equity ratio, debt-to-asset ratio, return on equity, and earnings per share simultaneously have a significant effect on stock returns. Based on the t-test, it was found in the study that inflation has a negative and significant effect on stock returns, the exchange rate has a negative and significant effect on stock returns, the debt-to ratio has a positive and significant effect on stock returns, and interest rates, such as world oil, debt-to-asset ratio, return on equity, and earnings per share, do not affect stock returns.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the factors influencing consumer purchasing decisions, specifically in the context of buying gold jewelry during Ramadan in the Rejang Lebong Regency. Ramadan often serves as a significant time for purchasing gold jewelry as a religious, cultural symbol, and investment. The study investigates the relationship between price and prestige value in the purchase decisions of gold jewelry. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 consumers who bought gold jewelry during Ramadan 2024 using a purposive sampling method. Additionally, structured interviews were conducted to gain deeper insights. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression to test the relationship between price and prestige value on purchase decisions. The results indicate a significant relationship between price and prestige value with consumer purchase decisions. This suggests that price and prestige value directly influence consumer purchase decisions during Ramadan in Rejang Lebong. These findings are consistent with economic theories stating that price and prestige value are important factors in decision-making. The implications of these results highlight the importance of marketing strategies that consider these factors to attract consumers.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of limited human resources (HR) on the quality of teaching and learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Furqon through interviews with two teachers. The results indicate that the insufficient number of teaching staff increases the workload of teachers, requiring them to handle excessive administrative tasks and teach subjects outside their specialization. This condition negatively impacts the quality of education, as teachers struggle to provide adequate attention to each student, especially those requiring more intensive guidance. The HR limitations also hinder students' academic and non-academic achievements, as well as the implementation of development programs such as extracurricular activities. Although teachers have attempted to address these challenges by utilizing interactive and project-based learning methods, support from school management in the form of additional teacher recruitment, training, and educational technology is still needed to effectively meet teaching needs and maintain teacher well-being. This study underscores the importance of greater attention to HR management in educational settings to ensure optimal and sustainable learning processes.

Abstract

The research aims to provide insights into the factors driving the variability in the bank's stock returns, utilizing quantitative regression analysis as the primary methodological approach. The background of the study underscores the significance of understanding the diverse factors affecting stock market dynamics, particularly in the context of a prominent Indonesian bank. Financial news sources and historical data from reputable sources like Reuters and Bloomberg were utilized to gather metrics and historical trends relevant to the study. The study also incorporates qualitative insights from industry experts and analysis of business financial records to supplement the quantitative analysis. Results indicate that the variables examined foreign exchange rates, stock market performance, and financial metrics do not significantly explain the variations in PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Tbk's stock returns during the study period. The regression analysis reveals low R-squared and adjusted R-squared values, alongside non-significant coefficients for each independent variable. These findings suggest that other factors beyond those considered in this study likely exert a more substantial influence on the bank's stock performance. In conclusion, while the study contributes valuable insights into the specific factors influencing PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk's stock returns, it also highlights the complexities and limitations inherent in relying solely on traditional financial metrics for predictive purposes. Future research could benefit from exploring additional variables and employing more sophisticated methodologies to enhance understanding and predictive accuracy in stock market analysis.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Design Thinking in supporting digital transformation in various sectors, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency. The study also seeks to analyze the relevance of both approaches in business and academic contexts, particularly in creating creative and human-centered solutions in the era of technological disruption. To achieve these objectives, this study used a systematic literature review method, by analyzing ten accredited and indexed articles in reputable international journals. The results showed that AI acts as a disruptive technology that not only improves efficiency but also accelerates digital transformation. Studies such as the one by Di Vaio et al. (2020), which received 1015 citations, highlighted how AI supports the development of sustainable business models. Additionally, research by Verganti et al. (2020) identified that Design Thinking remains relevant as an adaptive innovation approach, especially in the face of challenges posed by AI. The integration between AI and Design Thinking is also reflected in the study of Pham et al. (2022), which shows how creative approaches can maximize the potential of advanced technologies such as big data. Overall, this study confirms that the combination of AI and Design Thinking offers a comprehensive solution to deal with the complexities of digital transformation across various sectors.
