Abstract

Comes from the Sanskrit budhayah, which is the plural form of the word buddhi which means budi or intellect. In English, the word culture comes from the word culture, in Dutch it is termed cultur, in Latin, it comes from the word colera. Colera means cultivating, working, fertilizing, developing land (farming) (Setiadi, et al, 2009: 27). According to Herkovits in Soekanto (1993: 162) to understand the essence of the nature of culture, it must be able to solve paradoxes in culture. The method used in this scientific journal is literature study, which is a series of activities related to library data collection methods, reading and recording, and processing research materials. The importance of adat in the life of the Malay people is that it functions to regulate almost all sides of life, providing direction and foundation in all activities, from the big things to the smallest things. Adat teaches people to be civilized, polite, tolerant, respectful, self-aware, helpful - in order to create an atmosphere of harmony and peace in the life of society, nation and state. In addition, Malay customs are sourced and refer to the teachings of Islam. Therefore, adat is used as the identity of every Malay person. In accordance with the teachings of Malay custom, if you want to know the glory of the people, look at their customs, language shows the nation, customs show the people. Adjudicated adat can thus be likened to 'implementing regulations' of a customary provision. Adjudicated adat is based on consensus and deliberation, but it must not contradict or deviate from the provisions of actual adat. Adjudicated adat will be changed if it is no longer in line with developments Adat emerges as the basic structure of all life and defines the personality traits of a society.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of education in shaping students' social and cultural values. The role of education in shaping students' social and cultural values is very important. Character education given to students as the next generation of the nation leads to respect and honesty. Character education based on cultural values can help students understand and internalize values that are commonly accepted by society, such as justice, respect and honesty. Thus, students can become capable individuals in all aspects, including mental, social, and moral. Effective character education can help students develop the ability to practice their moral behavior through activities such as providing services, and help students understand the importance of social values in counteracting the influence of other incompatible values.

Abstract

This writing is based on the idea of the need for renewal in the learning model of social science as a response to the symptoms of weakening the quality of the process and results of social studies learning in an effort to prepare early students to become good citizens. This writing uses descriptive qualitative research that uses library research methods to obtain data according to the topic of the problem in the study. The data sources taken are journals and relevant references are research quoted from books. The results of the study state that the cooperative learning model can improve the interpersonal intelligence of elementary school students in ips learning. The cooperative learning model can build communication between students by discussing with group friends, students are taught to be able to respect each other, communicate, and students can work together with their groups so that interactions with other students occur.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to know and understand the basic concepts of social studies, the objectives of social studies education and its relationship with science, technology and society. The ITM learning process is interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary. This means that in the teaching and learning process in social studies classes, students should be invited, coached and encouraged to study or solve problems or topics, looking at them from various scientific disciplines. In this way, several concepts of science, technology and society can contribute to the main mission of IPS, especially in preparing Indonesian citizens who can see science and know a lot about science, technology and society.

Abstract

This study discusses the impact of the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray model on students' learning outcomes in Mathematics in grade IV at SDN 1 Pulau Beringin, Oku Selatan. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the application of the Two Stay Two Stray model on students' learning outcomes in Mathematics in grade IV at SDN 1 Pulau Beringin, Oku Selatan. This study uses an experimental research design with a quantitative approach, involving treatment. The design used is the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population of this study consists of all children at SDN 1 Pulau Beringin, while the sample is grade IV students, totaling 28 students, with proportional sampling technique. Learning outcomes were measured using a student test instrument, while validity was determined using Pearson's Product Moment correlation and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha. Data analysis prerequisites included the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, while hypothesis testing used the Paired Sample T-Test. The results indicate that the application of the Two Stay Two Stray model has an impact on students' learning outcomes in Mathematics in grade IV at SDN 1 Pulau Beringin. The effect of this media is seen from the hypothesis test results. At a 5% significance level, it is proven that there is an influence of the Two Stay Two Stray model on students' learning outcomes, as indicated by the calculated t-value > t-table. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected, meaning the alternative hypothesis is accepted, and it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray model affects students' learning outcomes.
