Abstract

PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul Hospital has been developing a disaster management hospital concept since 2008. A training through HOPE (Hospital Preparedness for Emergency and Disaster) has been conducted successfully. This research was aimed to measure the functional capacity of the PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul hospital in responding disaster and awareness of the staff as in Contingency Plan. The Hospital Safety Index criteria were used as the measurement instrument, which was consisted of five group indices. A descriptive survey technique was applied by means purposive sampling method. The samples were the staff in the Hospital Disaster Management Boards. A number of 61 questions were required by interview, observation and documents identification method. The hospital’s functional capacity index was calculated as 0.66. The scores varied for each group indices from 0.25 to 0.87. The highest score of 0.87 was obtained for group index of the operational plan, preventive maintenance and critical service restoration, whilst, the disaster emergency plan was assigned to the lowest score as 0.25. The mean score of all staffs about their job descriptions in contingency plan was 75.45 out of 100. Knowledge mean score of formulator staffs was 100 (high), while non formulator staffs was 69.7 (average). The core staff positioned in disaster management gained highest score (80.2), while the supporting staff was 74.7 (average). Hospital functional capacity index was 0.66 assessed in A class, indicating deemed to keep functioned during disaster situation. Awareness of the staffs, who designed Contingency Plan, were higher than the others. Deviation in awareness was also found among the staff involved in Contingency Plan. The manager level had a higher understanding in disaster preparedness if compared to the supporting staff.

Abstract

IFRS X is an integral part of the hospital, and has a strategic role in the professional development of hospitals and hospital economics. IFRS X in order to enter the business environment in the future an increasingly competitive, requiring the measurement of performance in order to survive and compete. Therefore, the performance measured in terms of IFRS X from the perspective of growth and learning balanced scorecard. Methods in cross-sectional study was conducted, and data collected in the form of quantitative data obtained by observation and dissemination of data questionnaire. The results showed that from the perspective of growth and learning, the performance of IFRS X has shown good results, judging from the 80.77% level of employee satisfaction, employee productivity levels 93.59% and 42.31% level of employee training.

Abstract

Increasing competition in hospital, which in the view of many private hospitals are well established in Gombong, PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong hospitals must have a strong brand equity to maintain or retain old customers and interesting new customers. Research is important conducted to determine and analyze ratings and views of customer on the hospital, other than research about brand equity in the hospital still rarely done. To know the views of consumers on brand awareness, brand association, perceived quality and brand loyalty PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospitals. The study was quantitative descriptive design. The study was conducted on 25 February - 3 June 2011 in the region Gombong. Population are all community Gombong had ever feel the services PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospital. Number of sample was 100 respondents. Sampling design used was purposive sampling. Analysis of data used descriptive statistics, Cochran's test, the average value, semantic differential scale and importance vs. performance comparison PKU Muhammadiyah hospitals as a top of mind awareness Gombong society. Based on calculations by the Cochran test at the brand association, there are 9 associations are closely related. Based on the results of the analysis of perceived quality, there are seven attributes of a good scale range (3.40 to 4.20) and 3 attributes entered enough scale range (2.60 to 3.40). Analysis of brand loyalty found: Switcher buyers equal to 23%, category simply (3.01). Habitual buyers is equal to 55%, both categories (3.44). Satisfied buyer equal to 49%, both categories (3.46). Liking the brand equal 43%, both categories (3.51). Commited buyers by 33% and include enough category (2.79) PKU Muhammadiyah Gombong Hospitals have a strong enough brand equity.

Abstract

Background: RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul is a privately-owned public hospital that has been burgeoning. Leadership held at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital in Bantul today is a transformational leadership. While, for motivating employee, the management of the hospital strives to provide adequate and fair compensation based on employee status, class rank and tenure. Hence, the compensation system will encourage every employee to give excellent service for each patient. Methodology: The research is a quantitative analysis using cross-sectional survey method. Data is obtained by disseminating questionnaire to the population, the whole permanent employee up to 104 respondents. Result: The statistical result indicates that management’s policy transformational leadership and distributive justice and procedural compensation rate affect to the satisfaction of work of the nurses at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul. Summary: Regarding to the result of the research, management’s policy to appreciate its employee through a good and fair compensation can significantly improve the satisfaction of work of the nurses at RSU PKU Muhammadiyah Bantul. Moreover, the management should maintain a workable situation and pay a lot of attention to the nurses.

Abstract

The Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan is a type C private hospital that is growing in Pekalongan. The successful hospital in the future are hospitals that have a competitive power. To win the competition the hospital must provide value and satisfaction to customers or patients through quality of products or services with competitive costs. The Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan already has a competitive product that is surgical oncology, surgical urology, neurosurgery. In addition The Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan should be able to know the quality of services provided and understand the interests and patients behavior to use the hospital services if needed health services at the next time. To know the influence of competitive product perception to patient loyalty in The Surgical Clinic of Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan, and determine the influence of services quality perceptions to patient loyalty in The Surgical Clinic of Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan, as well as investigate the influence of competitive product and services quality perception together against patient loyalty in The Surgical Clinic of Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan. The study was quantitative research with cross sectional design. The study was conducted on May-June 2011 in The Surgical Clinic of Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan. The population was all patients who had used services in The Surgical Clinic of Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan. The number of samples was 100 respondents. The sampling design was purposive sampling. Data was analyzed used descriptive and inferential statistics with multiple linear regression. The research result showed that competitive products perception influenced patient loyalty (Sig. 0.005 <0.05), and services quality perception influenced patient loyalty (Sig. 0.000 <0.05), as well as competitive products and services quality jointly influenced patient loyalty in The Surgical Clinic of Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan (Sig. 0.000 <0.05). The perception of competitive products and services quality perception which consists of communication, tangibles, empathy of nursing staff, assurance, responsiveness of the administrative staff, security, responsiveness physician either partially or jointly influence patient loyalty in The Surgical Clinic of Islamic Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Pekajangan.

Abstract

This paper is a review of the literature and application of good corporate governance which is regulated through the Hospital Bylaws / Statute of hospitals in the Muhammadiyah charitable efforts, particularly in order to reduce conflicts of interest between the owners, founders, managers and implementers of the healthcare. Hospital By laws regulate care services authority, responsibility of three important organs, governing board, chief executive office (CEO) / director, the medical staff. The implementation based on the results of case studies in Amal Usaha Kesehatan Muhammadiyah / Aisyiyah East Java in centrally coaching by MKKM as the governing board of East Java region has been able to improve performance of Aumkes Muhamadiyah / Aisyiyah to be more advanced.

Abstract

Background: Determination of unit costs of inpatient room rental in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Bantul is currently using traditional methods of real cost. When viewed in terms of space, design space and facilities for wards between class II class II Ar Rahman with other wards there is a difference. But the room rental unit cost of hospitalization between class II and class II Ar Rahman other similar effect. Methods: The study was conducted in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Bantul. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive case study design. The sample in the study were nurses and managers supporting units taken purposively sampling. Cost analysis method used is the Activity-Based Costing (ABC). Results and Discussion: The unit cost of room rental class II Ar Rahman is calculated by the method of Activity-Based Costing (ABC) amounting to Rp. 77.540, -, while those issued by the hospital of Rp. 42 308, -. This indicates that the unit cost is calculated by Activity-Based Costing is greater than the unit cost hospitals. In Activity-Based Costing (ABC), indirect costs (overheads) charged to a cost driver while in the traditional system is only charged on a cost driver. Conclusions and Suggestions: Method of Activity-based Costing (ABC) can provide information regarding the calculation of more accurate cost, so it can be used by management to take accurate decisions in the budgeting and planning costs. The hospital should conduct an evaluation unit cost for rooms that are used so as not to harm the hospital or the patient.

Abstract

Cooperation between the nursing team is a very important factor for achieving optimal quality of service. Teamwork in the hospital much influenced by the attitudes of nurses to perform nursing actions. The purposes of this study were to determine the relationship between group cohesiveness and the attitude of the nurse executive with labor productivity in RSUPN nurse executive Dr. Ciptomangunkusumo. The method of research is Deskriptive correlational, with cross sectionaldesign. The hypothesis of the study, relationship between group cohesiveness with the productivity of labor and the relationship between nurse executive position with the labor productivity of nurse executives. The results of bivariate statistical tests found that there were no relationship between group cohesiveness with the productivity of nurses working with a p-value executor 0.231, while attitudes have a significant association with work productivity perawata implementing the values of r = 0216, p-value 0.0007. Conclusion there was no significant relationship between group cohesiveness with the productivity of labor while a significant relationship between nurse executive with the work attitude of labor productivity in the inpatient nurses RSUPN. Abstract

Government regulations governing the technical requirements contained in the emergency room in RI KEPMENKES NO. 856/Menkes/SK/IX/2009 Standards governing the ER (emergency room) .This study aims to find out analysis of assessment results PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital emergency room services Sruweng and compliance with the standards according to KEPMENKES RI NUMBER 856/Menkes/SK/IX/2009 Standards governing the ER Hospital. The study is qualitative research case study design. Research subjects were all medical and paramedical personnel who served in the emergency room, facilities and existing facilities and services in the IGD. Method of data collection is done by using the instruments of observation checklist with a list of statements of service standards according to IGD Kepmenkes No. 856/Menkes/SK/IX/2009, further in-depth interviews. The results the assessment conducted in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital ER Sruweng through field observations and interviews were IGD service has exceeded the standard level of I is by achieving 103.50% and the achievement of outcomes assessment for level II emergency room services is quite high is 88.81%. Conclusion is more than the standard level I. However, to reach higher level is level II, IGD PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Sruweng still require improvement and development to meet the service standards.

Abstract

Background: Activity of care documentation is a main element of responsibility for care profession performance. Therefore, treatment supervision is needed in order that effectiveness and efficiency of work are optimum. In approximately recent 4 months, the implementation of treatment supervision in the PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Bantul was vacuum, results of interview with the ward heads indicated that there was indication of dissatisfaction of ward head which was also appointed as supervisor in terms of incentive acceptance. Method: This study is quantitative research with quasi experiment pre and post-test design without control group. Respondents of this study were all inpatient ward heads using total sampling. Results and discussion: Results of this study indicated that average percentage of care documentation (standard operational procedure) implementation before treatment supervision training in the inpatient wards of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Bantul was 42.6%, and after training, the percentage was 51.4%. Based on results of statistical test with paired t-test, it was found that p-value of effectiveness of ward head supervision application on implementation of care documentation in the inpatient ward s of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Bantul was 0.002 (p<0.05). There was 8.8% increase in average percentage of care documentation implementation before and after ward head supervision training. Conclusion: The ward head supervision training was found effective on implementation of care documentation in the inpatient wards of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Bantul.
