Abstract

Social media marketing can increase consumer awareness and recognition of a brand (brand awareness) from a product or service. Brand awareness can ultimately influence the formation of consumer visit intentions for these products and services. RSU Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (RSU UMM) is one of the Type C general hospitals conducting social media marketing since 2018. This study aims to determine the effect of social media marketing on the visit intention of patients at the hospital. The research was conducted with a quantitative observational method in a cross-sectional study using a questionnaire through Google Forms. The research sample was 96 people who were loyal consumers (followers) of the social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) of the RSU UMM. Data analysis was carried out by using Partial Least Square (PLS). The findings showed a positive and significant influence of social media marketing on the patient's visit intention, mediated by the patient's brand awareness. This research concluded that RSU UMM's social media marketing efforts positively and significantly affected patient visit intentions and strengthened by the influence of brand awareness. Therefore, RSU UMM must improve its marketing strategy, primarily through social media marketing.

Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus and its complications are expensive. Complications are major cost drivers. Of the ten most outpatient diagnoses at Muhammadiyah Hospital, North Sumatra, there was a negative difference between INA-CBGs rates and hospital rates for type 2 diabetes mellitus cases. This study aims to estimate the medical cost, assess the average cost difference, and examine the cost component associated with outpatient type 2 diabetes mellitus. This quantitative analytic research used secondary data on outpatient medical records of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients from May 2019-April 2020. There were 61 samples of medical records. Results showed that the average annual medical cost of outpatient type 2 diabetes mellitus without complication was IDR. 298,177, 8 and IDR. 853,696,7, IDR. 932,341,7, IDR. 938,433.3 if accompanied by macrovascular complications, microvascular complications, and both, respectively. There was a significant difference (p = 0.004) in the mean medical costs per year between the complication groups. Drug costs significantly differed (p = 0.010) between the complication groups. Drug costs are the most expensive and are strongly associated with the medical costs of complicated type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

The delayed retrieval (return) of medical records at Muna Anggita Hospital Bojonegoro in January-May 2022 hindered the data process, reporting, and BPJS claim submissions. It also impeded services when patients underwent health check-ups and affected the quality of hospitals and patient satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the factors causing the tardy return of inpatient medical records based on Lawrence Green's behavior theory, which includes predisposing, enabling, and reinforcing factors. This qualitative study collected data through interviews, observations, documentation, USG (Urgency Seriousness and Growth), and brainstorming. The research subjects include one medical record head, two assembling officers, and four inpatient ward heads. The results indicated that predisposing factors included the lack of knowledge of ward heads and their attitude (behavior) towards extending the return time of medical records. These predisposing factors can occur due to the lack of supporting facilities. Also, motivating external factors such as rewards or reprimands from ward heads and minimal socialization of standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding borrowing and return of medical records also contribute to the delay. Behavioral factors refer to the ward heads' lack of compliance and discipline in returning medical records. Muna Anggita Hospital should conduct SOP socialization every three months and regularly provide supporting facilities. The ward heads should also set an example regarding medical record return punctuality. The subsequent researchers are encouraged to formulate a strategic plan to reduce the delays in returning inpatient medical records at Muna Anggita Hospital in Bojonegoro.

Abstract

An electronic signature is an authentic marker to show a person's responsibility. Electronic signatures also ensure confidentiality, integrity, authorization, access control, and non-repudiation of information in electronic medical records. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the legal aspects of electronic signatures in administering electronic medical records. This research used a qualitative method with a normative juridical approach. The research sources were based on laws, government regulations, journals, and other tertiary sources related to electronic signatures and electronic medical records in health facilities. Research findings illustrated that Minister of Health Regulation Number 24 of 2022 concerning medical records only defined electronic signatures as an authentication and verification of the security and privacy of medical record information. Electronic signatures are specifically regulated by Constitution Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and Government Regulation Number 71 of 2019 concerning Electronic Systems and Transaction Operators. Both certified and uncertified electronic signatures have legal legitimacy in their application in electronic medical records. However, how they are supported by evidence is what makes them different. Certified electronic signatures are more trustworthy than uncertified electronic signatures.

Abstract

Electronic Nursing Care contains various record files, such as medical records of doctors, nurses, and other health workers who collaborate to provide health services. Documentation of nursing care can be hampered due to several factors, such as nurse's knowledge, attitude, motivation, and compliance. This study aims to determine the relationship between factors of nurse compliance in documenting nursing care using Electronic Medical Records. This study used a cross-sectional approach with 41 subjects selected using total sampling. The data obtained was tested using the Spearman Rank test using IBM Statistics 25 for Windows. The measuring tool used was a questionnaire of knowledge, attitudes, motivation, and observations regarding compliance with filling out nursing care. The result obtained produced a p of 0.000 (p <0.05). There was a significant relationship between the knowledge, attitudes, and motivation of nurses with compliance in documenting nursing care using electronic medical records with the strength of a strong relationship with a positive pattern, meaning that the better the level of knowledge, attitudes, and motivation of nurses, the more obedient they will be toward documentation of nursing care with electronic medical records.

Abstract

Payment for health services with national health insurance applies a prospective method. Hospitals must make efforts so that health services can run efficiently and not cause losses. The problem in this research is the negative difference between the Indonesian Case Based Group (INA-CBG) rates and service costs based on actual patient rates with national health insurance. This study aimed to develop a clinical pathway on 10 top CBG codes with the largest negative differences between INA-CBG and hospital rate. It also evaluated its pilot implementation impact on financial outcomes. Action research was conducted on a sample of the top 10 Case Based Group (CBG) codes with the largest negative difference between INA-CBG rates. One thousand ninety-nine (1099) medical records were analyzed and taken randomly using simple random sampling. Most of the variants found were the provision of consumable medical materials that exceeded standards and the administration of patent medicines outside the national formulary without written medical indications. The value of compliance with the clinical pathway was still below the expected standard (< 80%), especially in medical consumables. Researchers carried out a three-month intervention of a new clinical pathway implementation. The results showed increased compliance with clinical pathways and reduced negative differences between INA-CBG and hospital rates. Clinical pathway audits could reduce the negative difference between INA-CBG and hospital rates.

Abstract

This research explores legal protection for hospitals as whistleblowers in doctor identity forgery cases, emphasizing the Act of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2023 on Health in Indonesia. These cases, as seen in Primasatya Husada Citra Hospital (PHC) Surabaya, revealed vulnerabilities in the healthcare system to individuals without proper qualifications, highlighting the potential criminal penalties for hospital directors due to negligence in recruiting fake doctors. This research aims to delve into the Health Law's content and find strategies to help hospitals minimize criminal liability risks and ensure compliance with this law. The focus of the analysis will be on key legal aspects affecting the legal protection of hospitals in reporting cases of doctor identity forgery. The results will provide valuable guidance to hospitals in maintaining the integrity of healthcare services, protecting hospitals, and ensuring the safety of patients from the challenges of doctor identity forgery by irresponsible individuals.
