Abstract

Inflation and unemployment are major economic challenges in Indonesia that are often influenced by sub-optimal economic growth. This study aims to examine the causality relationship between inflation and unemployment with a focus on Lampung Province. The methodology used is descriptive and quantitative, with secondary data analysis from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) for the period 1990-2023. The Granger causality test results show a one-way relationship, where inflation affects unemployment, with a Prob probability value of 0.02787 which is less than 0.05. This finding suggests the existence of a long-run causality relationship between inflation and unemployment, which is reinforced by the cointegration test results, where the probability values for both variables are also below 0.05. This study provides an in-depth insight into the interaction between inflation and unemployment and its implications for regional economic policy, which can help in formulating strategies to overcome economic problems in Lampung Province.

Abstract

This study analyzes the tourism industry and the implementation of Regional Regulation (PERDA) No. 3 of 2017 concerning Disability Groups in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation, with primary data from interviews and secondary data from written references. The data includes qualitative information about obstacles in the implementation of PERDA and quantitative data on tourism statistics. The purposive sampling technique is used to select informants from various clusters, including the government and the hospitality industry. Data validation is carried out through triangulation of sources and techniques, while data analysis follows the Miles & Huberman method, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results show that the West Manggarai local government has launched an awareness program to highlight the importance of employing workers from disability groups. These programs involve mass media, seminars, and workshops, as well as education and training for employers on hiring and supporting workers with disabilities. The implementation of PERDA No. 3 of 2017 concerning Disability Groups includes the development of disability-friendly job portals and internship programs. However, challenges remain, including infrastructure limitations, social stigma, and a lack of experts and training. Although one hotel employs workers with disabilities through an internship program, there are still many obstacles that need to be overcome to achieve optimal inclusion of workers with disabilities in the hospitality industry. Collaborative efforts from the government, the hospitality industry, and the wider community are needed to address these challenges.

Many schools today, both private and public, realize the importance of the role of a principal and implement this transformational leadership style in schools. The research was carried out using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, namely by first collecting study materials related to obstacles in decision making and related to decision making itself in the form of books, articles and other sources. After the study material is collected, the material is then researched and studied, then the author tries to conclude new knowledge as a result of the analysis of the study material. Based on the research results, 4 factors were obtained to measure the transformational leadership of school principals, namely: 1) Idealized influence: 2) Inspirational motivation: 3) Intellectual stimulation: 4) Individualized consideration (individual attention) . Abstract

Banten Province, located at the western tip of Java Island, is a major tourist destination with various natural attractions, cultural heritage sites, and strategic coastal areas. Despite having attractions such as Ujung Kulon National Park, Tanjung Lesung Beach, and the historic city of Serang, the tourism sector in Banten faces major challenges related to the ability of human resources. This study examines the role of human resource capabilities in improving Banten's tourism sector by focusing on existing research gaps. The findings show significant skills shortages in customer service, digital literacy, and sustainable tourism practices. Current training programs are not enough to bridge these shortcomings, resulting in less than optimal service quality and limited innovation. In addition, there is a mismatch between the educational curriculum and the needs of the industry, as well as ineffective government support. The study recommends the development of tailored training programs, increased collaboration between educational institutions and tourism businesses, and more targeted government support to support sustainable tourism innovation and practices. By addressing these gaps, Banten's tourism sector is expected to improve its human resource capabilities, encourage innovation, and be more aligned with sustainable practices, which in turn can contribute to its growth and competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the feasibility of using bitter melon (Momordica charantia) mask as an anti-aging facial skin treatment through a quantitative research method with an experimental approach. This research is important because anti-aging skincare aims to prevent premature ageing, which is often caused by factors such as exposure to free radicals and oxidative stress. The feasibility of bitter melon masks was evaluated through a series of tests, including laboratory tests to measure flavonoid, phenolic, and collagen content, as well as organoleptic and hedonic tests to assess physical characteristics and user preferences. Data collection techniques involved observation, documentation, and the use of observation sheets. Laboratory test results showed that the bitter melon mask contained positive flavonoids, phenolic compounds, and collagen, which are known to be beneficial for skin health and ageing prevention. Meanwhile, the organoleptic and hedonic test results showed that the bitter melon mask had a smooth texture, distinctive bitter melon aroma, strong adhesion, and was quite liked by the panellists. Based on these findings, the bitter melon mask is considered suitable for use as an anti-aging facial skincare product.

Abstract

The importance of innovation in the agricultural sector to increase the productivity and welfare of farmers, especially in the use of environmentally friendly technologies such as Biosaka on rice plants. Although Biosaka offers a wide range of benefits, the adoption of this innovation still faces challenges, especially related to the characteristics of farmers, the nature of the innovation, and the effectiveness of extension. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of farmer characteristics, innovation nature, and counseling on the adoption of innovation in the use of Biosaka on rice plants. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach that involves sampling from one population and using questionnaires as a data collection tool. The research was conducted in three clusters in Pidie, East Aceh and West Aceh with a population of 50 people in each cluster so that a total of 150 respondents. The results showed that the characteristics of farmers and the nature of innovation had a significant effect on the adoption of innovations in the use of Biosaka. Farmers who have experience, education, and a certain age tend to be more receptive to the use of Biosaka because they feel the benefits and usefulness of the innovation. However, counseling on Biosaka did not have a significant effect on the adoption of this innovation, showing that the counseling carried out was still less effective in increasing farmers' understanding and interest. The implication of this study is the need to improve the quality and intensity of extension programs to better target the characteristics of farmers and increase their understanding of the benefits of Biosaka.
