Abstract

This article discusses the existence of Keroncong music in Sawahlunto City 2012 – 2023. This research uses heuristic research methods, source criticism, interpretation, historiography. Based on the research results, it can be concluded: The research results show that musical arts in Sawahlunto City originate from ethnic Javanese workers who are employed in mines. These workers eventually formed the Keroncong Orchestra group, which was first formed in the 1940s and consisted of only ethnic Javanese people. However, over time, cultural acculturation occurred, including the use of tools, players and songs used in Keroncong music. Keroncong in the city continues to feel strongly tied to local customs, and is often featured in community-involved events and festivals, highlighting the original and unique aspects of the region. 3) From a perspective outside Sawahlunto City, keroncong music tends to be made by incorporating modern elements and collaboration with other genres, making it more easily accepted by the general public.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the significant moral decline observed among students, both within and outside the school environment. This issue is evident in various cases such as bullying, fighting, lack of manners, and proper conduct in daily life, including speaking, eating, and social interactions. Therefore, there is a need to emphasize the cultivation of character values through the Minangkabau Culture subject. The purpose of this study is to describe how these character values are instilled through the subject. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, with informants consisting of the school principal and teachers of the Minangkabau Culture subject. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal that the integration of character values in schools can be achieved through key values such as religiousness, discipline, honesty, responsibility, independence, and hard work. The cultivation of these values aims to shape better attitudes, morals, and personalities among students. In the process of character education, collaboration between parents and teachers is crucial to ensure the effectiveness of character development in schools.

Abstract

This study discusses the history and impact of the conversion of the Muaro Labuah market into a Green Open Space (RTH) and its impact on the economy of the Muaro Labuah community in 2012-2023. The purpose of this study is to describe the background of the conversion of the Muaro Labuah market in 2012-2023 and to describe the impact on the economy of the Muaro Labuah community after the conversion of the Muaro Labuah market into a Green Open Space (2012-2023). The research method used in this study is the Historical Research Method. The results of this study indicate that the background of the conversion of the Muaro Labuah Market is due to the limited land area of only 1 hectare, so that the market conditions feel crowded, especially on market days (Monday-Thursday) where the number of visitors increases quite significantly. And with limited land, traders have to jostle to get a place to trade. In addition, the relocation of the market is also due to the Muaro Labuah Market often experiencing congestion because this market is located on the edge of the Muaro Labuah Padang intersection. The economic impact experienced by Muaro Labuah Lama traders and relocated traders after the conversion of the Muaro Labuah market into a Green Open Space 2012-2023 is a fairly drastic decrease in income, where the average decrease in income reached 50% since the market was relocated. So it can be concluded that the conversion of the Muaro Labuah Market into a Green Open Space occurred due to limited space/location and its impact on the economy of the Muaro Labuah community in 2012-2023 generally had an impact on traders' income.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of the capital market and public savings on economic growth in Indonesia using panel data from 34 provinces over the period 2016 to 2022. It aims to address the gaps in previous research, which showed inconsistent results regarding the effect of real sector investment on economic growth. Through multiple linear regression, this study finds that the capital market and public savings have a positive and significant influence on economic growth. These findings suggest that increasing capital accumulation in the capital market and public savings in banks can be an effective strategy to stimulate economic growth. The best model used in this study is the Fixed Effect Model, selected based on the Chow and Hausman tests. The coefficient of determination indicates that the capital market and public savings variables can explain the variation in economic growth significantly. This study contributes new insights by using data on domestic investor assets at the provincial level and offers policy recommendations to enhance public participation in the capital market and banking sector. The limitations of this study lie in the data coverage, which is restricted to Indonesia and spans a seven-year period, thus caution is needed when generalizing the findings to other countries or longer timeframes. Future research is encouraged to include additional variables and expand the geographical and temporal scope of the analysis.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of life-saving life saving rings equipped with remote control systems, with the aim of improving efficiency and effectiveness in emergency rescue in waters. The urgency of this research lies in the creation of a remotely operable buoy, thereby reducing reliance on physical strength and human accuracy during the rescue process. This research follows the ADDIE development model, which includes five phases: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The design of the buoy and the accompanying remote control system are designed with user-friendliness and operational effectiveness in mind. The system is then tested by maritime professionals to assess its practicality and functionality. The test results showed a positive response from users, who gave a high assessment of the design and performance of the buoy. However, there are suggestions to increase the battery life of the remote control to support longer operations. Overall, the development of this life-saving buoy with a remote control system has made a significant contribution to maritime safety. By offering a more reliable and efficient solution, it can improve the quality of rescue operations, reduce the risk of accidents, and improve response in emergency situations in waters.

Abstract

The development of information technology has had a significant impact in various sectors, including internal supervision of public administration. This study aims to examine the role of technology in improving the efficiency and transparency of public administration supervision. The method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which aims to explore various technology applications that can support internal supervision, such as cloud-based management systems, data-based audit applications, and the application of blockchain technology to maintain data integrity. The results of the study show that the application of technology can reduce the potential for abuse of power, increase accountability, and accelerate the decision-making process in the management of public administration. Technology also contributes to creating a more transparent and effective surveillance system, making it easier for the public to access information, and speeding up the identification of problems. This research makes an important contribution to the understanding of the role of technology in strengthening good public governance, with the hope of improving the quality and efficiency of public administration through the proper use of technology.

Abstract

All sectors have realized that waste, especially plastic waste, has become a complex and serious environmental problem, not only in Indonesia, but also around the world. Plastic waste has a major impact on public health and environmental sustainability. In Indonesia, this negative impact is increasingly felt, with an increase in the amount of plastic waste that is not properly managed, polluting nature and damaging ecosystems. For this reason, there needs to be strategic efforts to reduce the use of plastic, one of which is through environmental education. This research explores the role of environmental education as a strategy to instill environmental awareness in students, so that they are more concerned about the impact of plastic waste. The method used in this study is library research, by analyzing various literature and previous research. The results show that environmental education can increase students' awareness of the dangers of plastic waste and the importance of better waste management. In addition, environmental education can also motivate students to apply the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) principles in their daily lives. Practice-based learning and real actions have proven to be effective in arousing students' enthusiasm to reduce plastic waste. By involving students in activities directly related to waste management, they can feel the benefits and be motivated to participate in preserving the environment. Sustainable environmental education has great potential in shaping student behavior as agents of change towards a waste-free Indonesia in the future.
