Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is a chronic condition in which blood vessel walls experience increased blood pressure, requiring a faster heart rate to pump blood throughout the body. The presence of hypertension influences changes in the results of mean arterial pressure, if the mean arterial pressure is more than 100 mmHg it can cause cerebral circulation disorders resulting in cerebral vascular resistance in hypertensive patients. One non-pharmacological effort to overcome and reduce MAP can be done by providing foot massage therapy. Method: This type of research is quantitative research with a pre-experimental one group pre-post test design approach. The instruments used by researchers were a digital spygmomanometer and observation sheet. Results: Descriptive statistical results showed that the average MAP value before giving a foot massage was 112.49 mmHg and the average MAP after giving a foot massage was 108.43 mmHg. Conclusion: The results of the Wilcoxon sign rank test, a non-parametric statistical test, obtained a p value of 0.000 (? = 0.05). So that p < a, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is approved, this shows that foot massage therapy can influence the results of mean arterial pressure in elderly hypertensive patients in the Kalijati Health Center working area. This research is expected to provide initial information by carrying out foot massage therapy 6 times in 6 consecutive days as an effort to control hypertension and reduce mean arterial pressure (MAP) results.

Objective: To determine the effect of lactation management education on mothers' motivation and readiness to provide exclusive breastfeeding. Design: This type of research is a one group pre-post test design with pre and post experimental. This research was conducted at Panti Waluyo Hospital in August – December 2023. The research instruments used educational videos, pre and post questionnaires. Data analysis used the Shapiro Wilk test, Oneway Anova test, and Paired T Test. Results: Most of the respondents were aged 17-25 years as many as 32 respondents, the last level of education was DIII was 20 respondents, parity had never given birth as many as 20 respondents and history of childbirth had never given birth as many as 22 respondents. There are differences in mothers' motivation and readiness before and after being given lactation management education as shown by a p value of 0.044. Data on mothers' motivation and readiness before and after being given lactation management education varied the same as shown by p values of 0.199 and 0.499. There is an influence of lactation management education on mothers' motivation and readiness to provide exclusive breastfeeding, shown by a p value of 0.001. Conclusion: there is an influence of lactation management education on mothers' motivation and readiness to provide exclusive breastfeeding.

Stunting in children under five is a consequence of several factors that are often associated with poverty, including nutrition, health, knowledge and social and cultural factors. The aim of this research is to look at the factors that cause stunting in toddlers. The research method uses Scoping Review to map literature and identify problems or shadows in the research area to be studied. The results of the research show that data obtained that the number of stunting cases in Jorong Lubuk Sao can be worrying, the results of the data show that there is an average for each stunting indicator (TB, BB, LK) which indicates stunting. The intervention that has been carried out from the data above is by providing outreach and counseling regarding healthy food as well as introducing the electronic application ready for marriage and pregnancy (elsimil) to the local community, this is an accompanying screening application for prospective brides (catin), prospective couples of childbearing age (CaPUS) , pregnant women, postpartum mothers, and families with babies aged 0-59 months. The conclusion of this research is that the stunting prevalence rate in Indonesia is still above 20%, meaning it has not reached the WHO target. Abstract

Radiation protection is an action to reduce the impact of radiation arising from radiation exposure. Radiation sign lights are one of the requirements of x-ray aircraft facilities for radiation safety in hospitals intended for officers and the surrounding community in the radiology installation area. After the radiation indicator light is bright red and the door of the radiology examination room is closed, the patient's family is not allowed to enter so as not to be exposed to radiation or scattered radiation which has a very dangerous impact on health. The type of research used is a type of quantitative research using a descriptive method. This method aims to create an objective picture or descriptive description of a situation using numbers, starting from data collection, interpretation of the data as well as its appearance and results. The majority of respondents in this study were between 26 and 45 years old. The majority of respondents (78%) do not know about Indicator lights in the radiology room. Only (16%) or 8 respondents knew enough about the topic, and (6%) or 3 respondents knew it well. Based on the results of the study on "The Level of Patient Family Knowledge Regarding Indicator Lights in the Radiology Room at Kertha Usada Buleleng Hospital", the following conclusions can be drawn: The majority of respondents showed a low level of knowledge related to indicator lights. Analysis of demographic characteristics such as age, education, and gender significantly affects their level of knowledge.

Abstract

A 3-month-old baby is a baby who needs a lot of breast milk assistance to support his growth and development. In supporting the growth and development in question, there are many ways or efforts that can be carried out by midwives, especially in increasing the baby's weight at the age of 3 months, one of which is by doing massage. The purpose of this study is to find out whether or not there is an effect of massage on the weight of 3-month-old babies at UIT Tourism Hospital Makassar City. The type of research used is Quasy Experimental (Pseudo-Experiment) using Pretest and Posttest Experiments and Control with sampling techniques using Purposive Sampling. Based on the results of statistical tests on infants who were sampled, namely 20 babies aged 3 months using paired T test with ? = 0.05, t count (11.005) > t table (1,729) were obtained. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of massage on 3-month-old babies on weight gain. All 3-month-old babies in the study sample experienced weight gain, but the difference in weight gain in the intervention group was greater than in the control group.

Abstract

The population explosion resulted in a rapid rate of population growth which was caused by a lack of knowledge and patterns in the local community. Important aspects of population are: population size, population growth, population births, and population movements. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and the participation of women of childbearing age in the Family Planning (KB) program at the UPTD Puskesmas Kuta Baharu, Kota Baharu, Regency. This research used a quantitative method with a survey approach, involving 100 female respondents of childbearing age who were randomly selected. Data was collected through a questionnaire that measured the level of family support and participation in family planning programs. Data analysis was carried out using Pearson correlation statistical techniques to identify the relationship between family support and participation in family planning programs. The research results show that there is a significant relationship between family support and the participation of women of childbearing age in family planning programs, with a p value <0.05. These findings indicate that family support plays an important role in increasing women's participation in family planning programs. This research suggests that family planning programs should involve family members more in socialization and education to increase participation levels.

Abstract

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract that is often accompanied by psychological disorders such as depression. This study aims to analyze the impact of depression on the effectiveness of Crohn's disease treatment through a systematic review and meta-analysis. A literature search was conducted across electronic databases, including PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, for studies published in the last five years. Of the 1,247 articles identified, 28 studies met the inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis results indicate that Crohn's disease patients with depression have a lower remission rate (OR = 0.65, 95% CI: 0.54-0.78) and a higher relapse rate (HR = 1.58, 95% CI: 1.32-1.89) compared to patients without depression. Additionally, subgroup analysis reveals that the negative effects of depression are more pronounced in patients receiving biological therapy. These findings underscore the importance of a holistic approach in the management of Crohn's disease, considering the psychological aspects of patients to optimize treatment outcomes.
