Abstract

This research aims to improve the ability of early childhood 5-6 years old to recognize geometric shapes using the Smart Home learning media at KB Melati VI. This research was carried out using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method which consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was conducted in three cycles: pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II, with 15 children aged 5-6 years. At the planning stage, Rumah Pintar media is designed to contain various geometric shapes that are interesting, interactive, and easy for children to understand. The implementation of learning uses a play-by-learning approach, where children are invited to recognize, group, and name geometric shapes through fun activities. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the study showed a significant increase in children's ability to recognize geometric shapes. In the pre-cycle stage, the average child's ability reached 45%, then increased to 70% in cycle I, and reached 90% in cycle II. This shows that the effective use of Rumah Pintar media can increase children's interest in learning and ability to recognize geometric shapes. This study concludes that Rumah Pintar media is an effective learning tool in improving early childhood cognitive abilities, especially in recognizing geometric shapes. The researcher recommends the use of similar media for the development of other cognitive aspects and encourages the innovation of learning media that is in accordance with the characteristics of early childhood.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the character of early childhood cooperation (5-6 years) through the application of traditional clogs in Kober Miftahul Huda. The character of cooperation is an important aspect in the social-emotional development of early childhood that needs to be instilled from an early age. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (PTK) approach which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 15 children aged 5-6 years in Kober Miftahul Huda. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and interviews. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative and quantitative descriptive manner. The results of the study showed an increase in the character of children's cooperation after the implementation of traditional clogs games. In the first cycle, the percentage of children's cooperation reached 65%, while in the second cycle it increased to 85%. Indicators of improved cooperation include children's ability to share tasks, help each other, and communicate effectively in groups. Thus, the traditional game of clogs has proven to be effective in improving the character of early childhood cooperation. It is recommended to educators to use traditional games as a learning medium that supports the development of children's social-emotional aspects.

Abstract

The Sukabumi City Social Service has a strategic role in empowering beggars through various rehabilitation and social assistance programs. However, the effectiveness of these programs is still questionable, given the still significant number of beggars and the low level of their participation in empowerment programs. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of the Social Service in empowering beggar villages in Sukabumi City, identify the types of programs that have been implemented, and evaluate their effectiveness and the obstacles faced. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. The informants in this study consisted of employees of the Sukabumi City Social Service who were involved in the empowerment program as well as representatives of the begging village community. The data was analyzed using interactive qualitative analysis methods that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the Social Service has carried out various empowerment efforts through preventive, rehabilitative, and social assistance approaches. Preventive efforts are carried out through socialization and education to the community, while rehabilitation is carried out by providing skills training, mental and legal guidance, as well as social rehabilitation services. In addition, social assistance such as the Family Hope Program (PKH) and Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) are also given to the poor.

Abstract

Improving children's social and emotional development at an early age is very important because it will affect their lives and other aspects of development. Therefore, the best way for teachers to improve children's social and emotional skills is to create a fun learning, teaching, and teaching environment, as well as a good communication environment. This study examines how teachers can use stories to help children learn social and emotional skills. The purpose of this study was to determine how this technique was used to improve the social and emotional skills of children aged 5-6 years at PAUD Nurul Hikmah. In addition, this study also investigated the results of using hand puppets to improve the children's social and emotional skills. This study conducted two cycles, with activities carried out twice each cycle, until the desired completion value of 80% was achieved.

Abstract

Saving is a good habit that should be introduced from an early age, especially during elementary school years. This activity aimed to help students understand the importance of managing money from a young age through a financial literacy campaign conducted by students of Universitas Borneo Tarakan. In this program, the university students provided explanations, educational games, and practical examples of simple saving methods that were easy for children to grasp. The socialization was carried out with third-grade students at Elementary School 006 Tarakan. The results showed that students gained a better understanding of the benefits of saving and became more motivated to set aside their pocket money. This activity also received positive support from teachers and parents. It can be concluded that the involvement of university students in financial education can help raise awareness and foster saving habits among children from an early age.

Abstract

Cooperatives and Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) play a strategic role in strengthening community-based economic development at the village level. Cikurutug Village, Cireunghas District, Sukabumi Regency, faces challenges in optimizing its cooperatives and BUMDes, particularly in governance, management, digital literacy, and limited business networking. This community service program aimed to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance managerial skills, and encourage the use of digital technology by cooperatives and BUMDes. The activity was carried out on August 26, 2025, involving 30 participants through a participatory method consisting of preparation, organization, training implementation, and evaluation stages. The results indicated an improvement in participants’ understanding from 45% before training to 82% after training. Moreover, 90% of participants considered the program beneficial, 80% were ready to apply the acquired knowledge, and 70% expected further assistance, especially in digital marketing. Therefore, this program successfully strengthened cooperatives and BUMDes in Cikurutug Village and opened opportunities to establish a more independent and sustainable village economic ecosystem.

Abstract

A collaborative program between the Faculty of Economics, Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi (FE UMMI) and the Regional Revenue Management Center (P3DW) of Sukabumi City and Regency aims to increase tax awareness and compliance among high school students. This activity is implemented through tax socialization, interactive dialogue, and tax payment simulations, presented in an engaging and educational manner. The participatory method allows students to understand the importance of taxes from an early age and their role as the nation's next generation in national development. The results of this activity indicate an increase in students' understanding and positive attitudes toward tax responsibilities. This collaboration represents a form of synergy between educational institutions and the government in fostering a culture of tax awareness in the community, especially among the younger generation. With a more innovative and humane approach, it is hoped that tax awareness will not be merely theoretical but can also be applied in students' daily attitudes and behaviors.

Abstract

KKN is a form of student engagement aimed at contributing to society while providing experiential learning opportunities. This KKN program, conducted in Sukabumi Regency, focused on educating high school students as prospective first-time taxpayers about Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB). The implementation methods included direct socialization, hands-on practice using the Sapawarga application for digital PKB payments, and education on the role of Jasa Raharja in road user protection. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of PKB’s function as a source of regional revenue (PAD), the proper tax payment procedures, and the importance of timely tax compliance. Furthermore, practical training on the Sapawarga application effectively enhanced participants’ digital literacy and reduced technological barriers. This program also emphasized the importance of synergy between universities, government agencies (SAMSAT), and the community in fostering a healthy tax ecosystem. Overall, this KKN successfully instilled early tax awareness, supported the digital transformation of public services, and encouraged the formation of a tax-conscious, technologically literate young generation that actively contributes to regional development.

Abstract

Tax awareness regarding motor vehicles among the community remains a challenge in supporting regional development. Students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi, through the MBKM KKN program, collaborated with the SAMSAT offices of Sukabumi City and Regency to conduct outreach activities targeting senior high school (SMA/SMK) students as a strategy to enhance tax literacy and compliance from an early age. The activities were held at four secondary schools using interactive methods such as educational sessions, creative media, quizzes, and tax application demonstrations. The results showed an increase in students’ understanding of the importance of motor vehicle taxes and SAMSAT services. Partner evaluations also indicated positive student performance. This initiative demonstrates the importance of cross-sector collaboration in shaping a tax-aware generation.

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) training programs in the construction sector have been shown to have a significant impact in reducing work accidents. Through a desk study approach with qualitative methods, this research reveals that OHS training not only increases workers’ awareness and knowledge of safety practices but also results in a meaningful decrease in the number of workplace accidents. In addition, the OHS training also succeeded in changing behavior and establishing a stronger safety culture in the workplace, where workers became more proactive in reporting hazardous conditions and more disciplined in complying with safety procedures. Project management also experiences direct benefits from OHS training, with higher compliance with occupational safety and health standards, which improves project efficiency and productivity. Emphasis on a holistic and sustainable OHS training approach is therefore key to ensuring the safety and health of workers and the future success of construction projects.
