Abstract

This article discusses the development of collaboration between students and the creative fashion industry to strengthen the Islamic business ecosystem. In addressing the challenges of globalization, this collaboration focuses on innovative fashion products aligned with Sharia principles. Community service programs include skill training, seminars on Islamic business ethics, and the promotion of halal products. The research results show that this collaboration enhances industry capacity, expands market access, and raises awareness of sustainable products. The article recommends strengthening collaboration networks, increasing training, and involving the community in developing fashion products that align with Islamic values.

Abstract

Development of Pasar Kalangan (Thursday Market) in Tirta Kencana Village, Tebo Regency, aims to enhance efficiency, governance, profitability, and competitiveness by implementing Sharia economic principles. The program focuses on improving administration, infrastructure, public services, and Sharia economic education. The expected outcomes include increased transactions, higher income for merchants, greater public awareness of Sharia economic principles, improved market facilities, and reduced user complaints. This transformation is expected to promote the welfare of the local community while strengthening Sharia values in market management.

Abstract

The training on making cookies in Reuloh Village, Ingin Jaya District, Aceh Besar Regency, aims to improve the skills of the community in entrepreneurship in the culinary field. This activity was carried out by the Lecturer Team of the Entrepreneurship Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Muhammadiyah University of Aceh. The training participants showed a significant increase in their knowledge and skills in making cookies. The survey results showed that 85% of participants were interested in starting a cookie business, which could increase the income of the local community and open up opportunities for people who want to start and expand culinary-based businesses. The expected output of this community service activity is to improve the skills and knowledge of the community, especially housewives and small business actors in Reuloh Village, Ingin Jaya District, in making cookies. In addition, this activity aims to encourage them to be able to develop culinary businesses and as teachers, the results of this activity will be published in a journal.

Abstract

Coconut (Cocos nucifera) is an important plantation commodity in Indonesia, with production centers spread across various regions, including Aceh. The abundant potential of coconut fruit provides a great opportunity to develop processing businesses, including the utilization of by-products such as coconut water. Coconut water is rich in nutrients and can be processed into value-added products such as coconut syrup. The village of Lamdingin in Banda Aceh City has the potential for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), but the abundant coconut water in the local market is often wasted. The community service activity aims to provide training in coconut syrup production for housewives in Gampong Lamdingin. This community service activity was conducted on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Gampong Lamdingin, Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh City. This training provides knowledge to the community to enhance household economic income, family food security, and develop local potential through the utilization of coconut by-products.

Abstract

The investment socialization carried out at the Economic Building located at Jalan Muhammadiyah, Lueng Bata District, Banda Aceh City aims to provide knowledge and insight regarding investment. This activity was carried out by the Lecturer Team of the Entrepreneurship Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Muhammadiyah University of Aceh. Training participants demonstrated significant improvements in knowledge and regarding investments. The survey results showed that 80% of participants were interested in starting to invest in both Islamic and conventional shares, which could increase participants' income and increase their insight and utilize opportunities and time more efficiently. The expected output from this community service activity is increasing the insight and knowledge of generation Z, especially teenagers aged <30 years, to avoid fraudulent investments and be able to choose more appropriate investments. Apart from that, this activity aims to encourage them to develop the knowledge gained from academics, the results of this activity will be published in a journal.

Abstract

In the digital era that continues to develop, Communication Science students at UIN SU are starting to use social media platforms, especially Instagram to build their professional identity. This research focuses on the strategy of utilizing Instagram social media content by UIN SU Communication Science students. The purpose of this study is to describe how they develop a self-branding strategy through the content they upload. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study collected data through in-depth interviews with several respondents and literature studies. The results of the study show that there are strategies, benefits and obstacles experienced by UIN SU Communication Science students. This research is expected to provide insight for other students in utilizing social media as an effective self-branding tool to enter the professional world in the future.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has major implications in the context of language use in society. This study aims to analyze stylistic features in the context of COVID-19-related social advertisements that appear on social media, in particular, prevention messages and health protocols that are emphasized. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis as stated by Miles and Huberman. The findings of this study reveal that the most used language features in the TV program are hyperbole and anaphora, followed by personification, pleonasm, litotes, climax, and assonance. The strength of this slogan lies in the use of these language features in a social advertisement geared towards complying with COVID-19 health protocols. This research is expected to respond to social issues by anticipating the social consequences of language used in health campaigns during the pandemic context.

Abstract

The phenomenon of slang usage among millennial teenagers has become increasingly widespread with the development of communication technology, especially social media. This study aims to describe the characteristics of millennial teenage slang, including its forms, sources, formation patterns, purposes, and contexts of use. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing data in the form of slang utterances obtained from social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Additionally, interviews were conducted with 15 teenagers who actively use slang. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. The results of the study show that millennial teenage slang is dynamic and diverse. Its sources come from various languages, including regional languages, Indonesian, and foreign languages, which then undergo a formation process through abbreviations, word shortening, acronyms, and various other modifications. The use of slang has various purposes, ranging from simple greetings to more complex expressions of feelings such as sarcasm or admiration. The context of its use is also very varied, generally in informal interactions with peers.

Abstract

Standard language has an important role in the world of education, especially among students as the next generation of intellectuals. However, the implementation of standard language in students' daily lives still faces various challenges. This research aims to explore and analyze the factors that influence the use of standard language among students. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews, observation and document study. The research results show that the main challenges include a lack of understanding of standard language rules, the dominance of regional languages ​​and informal languages, as well as low student motivation and awareness in applying standard language, especially in formal situations. Apart from that, the social environment, such as the communication culture on campus and the use of social media, also contributes to students' language patterns. This research recommends synergy between educational institutions, lecturers and students to improve standard language competence through training programs, familiarization and integration of standard language into academic activities. With these steps, it is hoped that the use of standard language can be implemented more optimally as a symbol of respect for cultural and scientific identity.

Abstract

The Indonesian language has a long history that began with Old Malay, which served as a trade and interethnic communication language in the Nusantara archipelago since the 7th century AD. During the colonial period, Malay evolved into a formal administrative language, enriched by influences from Arabic, Sanskrit, Portuguese, and Dutch. In the 1928 Youth Pledge, Malay was officially recognized as Indonesian and designated as the language of unity, capable of bridging Indonesia's diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. After independence, Indonesian was established as the national and official language through the 1945 Constitution and various government standardization policies, such as the Enhanced Spelling System (EYD). This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to Analyze changes in the characteristic so Indonesian overtime, along with the social, political, and cultural factors influencing its development. The findings reveal that Indonesian has adapted significantly, especially during the Reform and digital eras, by incorporating foreign vocabulary and adopting a flexible, informal style. In the era of globalization, Indonesian also plays an important role in international diplomacy and the digital economy, strengthening national cultural identity both in the digital realm and within ASEAN.
