Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of climate change on farmers’ income, compare income conditions before and after climate change, and examine the role of Islamic economic principles in supporting farmers’ economic resilience in Tanggamus Regency. Climate change, characterized by unpredictable rainfall patterns, rising temperatures, and increasing extreme weather events, has significantly affected the agricultural sector, which is highly dependent on natural conditions. This study employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, where data were collected through in-depth interviews with farmers, agricultural extension officers, traders, farmer group leaders, and related government officials. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing. The results indicate that climate change negatively affects farmers’ income through decreased productivity, increased production costs, and price instability of agricultural products. Furthermore, there is a significant difference in farmers’ income conditions before and after climate change, where income was previously relatively stable but has become more fluctuating and declining afterward. In the context of economic resilience, Islamic economic principles such as profit-sharing, prohibition of riba (interest), mutual assistance (ta’awun), and instruments like zakat, infaq, and sadaqah play an important role in helping farmers cope with economic pressures. However, the implementation of these principles is still not optimal due to limited access, low financial literacy, and insufficient institutional support.

Abstract

The development of the digital economy has given rise to the phenomenon of marketplaces as one of the fastest growing sectors in Indonesia. However, the increase in digital business activity is not always accompanied by optimal tax compliance, posing challenges for tax authorities in expanding the tax base and increasing state revenue. This study aims to explore the tax compliance behavior of digital marketplace businesses using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as an analytical framework. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 63 marketplace businesses with annual turnover below IDR 500 million, using a 1–5 Likert scale. Data analysis was performed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS. The results show that the three main constructs of TPB, namely attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control, have a positive and significant effect on intention to comply. Furthermore, intention has a significant effect on actual tax compliance, thus reinforcing the role of intention as a mediator in bridging psychological factors with actual behavior. The R² value of 0.63 for intention and 0.58 for actual compliance indicates that the model used has strong explanatory power in predicting tax compliance. These findings support TPB theory while expanding its application to the context of digital marketplaces, which are still relatively understudied. This study contributes theoretically by strengthening empirical evidence regarding the relevance of TPB in explaining tax compliance behavior in the digital era. From a practical perspective, the results emphasize the importance of building positive attitudes through digital tax literacy, strengthening social norms through marketplace communities, and improving perceptions of control by providing simple and accessible tax service systems. Regulations that encourage the automation of tax collection by marketplace platforms can also be an effective strategy in ensuring actual compliance. Thus, this study not only enriches the taxation literature but also provides relevant policy recommendations for efforts to improve tax compliance in the digital economy sector

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the discrepancy between the positive image of Dimsum 86 Pujasera Salatiga, which received a positive response from customers, and several operational issues that still exist in the service and management of the business. This study aims to analyze the marketing, workforce, and production processes at the Dimsum 86 Pujasera Salatiga, as well as provide suggestions for improvements that can help improve the progress of the business. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, where data is collected through interviews, observations, and document checking. Data accuracy is tested using source triangulation and technical triangulation methods. The research shows that the marketing aspect is supported by consistent good product quality, low prices, and the use of social media as a means of advertising. The human resources aspect shows the existence of clearly divided tasks, the ability to provide good customer service, and smooth communication with consumers. Meanwhile, the production aspect is supported by the implementation of the First In First Out system, maintaining the cleanliness of the production area, and following standard operating procedures in every stage of production. Potential managerial implications include creating a sales promotion program, developing an employee assessment and reward system, and digitizing inventory records to improve business management effectiveness. Overall, Dimsum 86 Pujasera Salatiga has a relatively good marketing, human resource, and production environment and has the potential for continued growth if operational management is improved.

Abstract

Abstract The "Siomay and Batagor Surya" business is a type of micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) in the culinary sector with high demand. However, business actors face challenges in determining the most efficient production combination due to limited resources, such as production time and raw materials. This study aims to determine the production combination that can generate the highest sales using a linear programming method through a graphical approach. This study uses a descriptive quantitative method and collects data through direct interviews with business owners regarding production time, raw material capacity, and product selling prices. The data is then analyzed using the objective function and constraint function in a linear programming framework. From the graphical method analysis, the optimal solution is obtained at point (0.72), which is to produce 72 units of batagor and not produce siomay. This production combination generated the highest daily sales of Rp720,000.00. The findings of this study indicate that linear programming techniques can help MSMEs make more effective and efficient production decisions based on data.

Abstract

Although there is a growing interest in entrepreneurship among Gen Z, many young adults find it difficult to transform entrepreneurial aspirations into entrepreneurial capabilities. This study investigates the relationship between Self Leadership, Active Listening, and Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) and the mediating role of Active Listening among Gen Z students. Methodology: A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted among 403 Gen Z university students from the higher education institutions in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. The data were collected via an online questionnaire through purposive sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings: The study indicates that Active Listening has a significant positive relationship with EO. Self-leadership greatly enhances Active Listening. Moreover, Active Listening plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between self-leadership and EO, implying that communication competence is an important channel through which self-regulatory abilities promote entrepreneurial tendency. Originality: This research contributes to entrepreneurship and self-leadership literature by introducing Active Listening as a mediating mechanism between individual leadership capability and EO among Gen Z. Implications: The findings indicate that educational institutes and entrepreneurship development programs should enhance both self-leadership and active listening competencies to develop entrepreneurial capabilities among younger generations.
