Abstract

This research investigates the effect of the Match Mine type Cooperative Learning model on the mathematical communication skills of class VII students at MTs Annizhomiyyah Jaha-Labuan. The experimental method was used with two groups: the experimental group (which received learning using the Match Mine type Cooperative Learning model) and the control group (which received conventional learning). Data was collected through tests before and after treatment and then analyzed to evaluate the impact of the learning model. The analysis results show that applying the Match Mine type Cooperative Learning model significantly influences students' mathematical communication skills. Students in the experimental group showed better abilities in proposing ideas, reflecting on mathematical concepts, solving problems, and discussing than students in the control group. Thus, the Match Mine type Cooperative Learning model can be an effective alternative in improving students' mathematical communication skills. Teachers should consider using this model in the mathematics learning process because it can increase student engagement, creativity, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

A transformer is a device that can transfer (transmit) and change electrical energy from one electrical circuit to another with the same frequency based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The transformer that will be used in this research is a three-phase open delta connection transformer, which is connected to a delta connected load. If one of the three phase windings in the delta connection transformer is damaged, then the remaining two windings can be implemented or designed into three phase open delta connections, which can be used to distribute three phase electrical power to the load. The performance of the unbalanced load influence on the open delta transformer, when it is loaded with an unbalanced load that is not the same size on each phase, causes an increase in current on each phase, resulting in an increase in the input power absorbed by the unbalanced load resulting in power loss. larger (losses) with reduced efficiency. The aim of the research is to study the performance of unbalanced loads on open delta transformers and the research method is an experimental method in the laboratory, which includes testing on three-phase open delta transformers in unbalanced load conditions. The measurement results show that there are differences in performance (output results) in the influence of unbalanced loads between the average current and losses and the efficiency of the open delta transformer.

Abstract

Most oil and gas wells produce through sandstone formations deposited in marine or detrital environments. Marine sedimentary sands, in which most of the hydrocarbons are found, are often cemented with calcareous or siliceous minerals and may be heavily consolidated. In contrast, Miocene and younger sands are often unconsolidated or only partially consolidated with soft clays or silts. This formation, which is structurally weak, is unlikely to be able to withstand the movement of sand grains. When oils are produced at high flow rates, they can produce sands along with the liquid oil. The movement of fluid through the sandstone reservoir creates stresses in the sand grains due to differences in fluid pressure, fluid friction, and overburden pressure. If this stress exceeds the formation holding force, then the sand grains and fines can move and can be produced with oil liquid. Rapid changes in the liquid production rate can cause unstable conditions which can result in increased sand production. When an oil well begins to produce water, this will often be an indication of the start of sand production. Muecke[1], demonstrated that particle motion occurs in a multiphase system when the wetting phase begins to move. Even consolidated sandstone can be mechanically and chemically damaged over time as the reservoir is produced. The overburden stress on the sand grains will increase as the reservoir pressure decreases. The movement of water can dissolve the minerals that cement the sand grains and can change the production capacity of the formation fluid. Smooth migration can reduce permeability in the perforations. This can result in higher pressure drops in the wellbore and changes in formation stress. Formations cemented by calcite can be damaged by improperly designed acidification, and can result in increased production of sand.

Abstract

Automation is essential for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in a competitive business era to understand and implement customer retention strategies to survive and grow. This study aims to describe ATM Service Quality and customer retention among MSMEs using ATMs and analyze the influence of reliability, comfort, safety, convenience, and fulfillment variables on customer retention. The research method uses a quantitative approach with descriptive and exploratory survey methods. The research subjects were SMEs using ATMs in East Priangan, with the research object being ATM service quality and customer retention. Data was collected through questionnaires and observations using random sampling techniques. The statistical analysis results using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) show high reliability in variable measurement and adequate discriminant validity. The findings indicate that the structural model indicates that reliability and convenience do not significantly affect customer retention, while security and convenience play an essential role. The implication is that it is essential to focus on the security and convenience aspects of ATM services to enhance customer retention strategies amidst intense business competition. These results provide in-depth and relevant insights, supporting the development of effective strategies for MSMEs, increasing the adoption of digital financial services and keeping customers away from the competition. .

Abstract

Indonesia’s Intellectual property rights encompass trademarks’ protection, copyrights, patents, geographical indications, industrial designs, circuit layout designs, and trade secrets, including aqua, the botol, and ecoprint, which use generic words and non-distinctiveness and disturb public order. Ecoprint became a public domain in 2001. However, it was approved as a trademark of products by the DGIPR in 2019 and protected by the law, allowing it to reap the economic benefits. The research problem is: How is the public domain of ecoprint used by trademarks being reviewed in positive Indonesian law from the perspective of utilitarian theory? The research uses a normative descriptive method with a conceptual approach and a comparative approach from secondary data, primary and secondary legal materials, and is analyzed using Jeremy Bentham's theory of utility, "the greatest happiness from the greatest number, namely through the provision of livelihood, abundance, security, and equality." The results indicate that Indonesian law does not explicitly manage the public domain as an intellectual property right that provides direct benefits to the community. The public domain becomes a trademark, creating incentives only for trademark owners instead of the community. IPR should cover the public domain to ensure incentives that benefit the wider welfare, including MSMEs.

Abstract

The crime of terrorism is a serious crime that requires special guidance methods in handling it. Efforts to handle terrorism cases in Indonesia are carried out through special approaches, namely a hard and a soft approaches. Deradicalization is an action that seeks to develop the mentality of national and religious ideology. This research is empirical legal research that examines Law Number 5 of 2018 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism. The research method applied is descriptive, which aims to describe the actual situation. This data is then analyzed using a quantitative approach, which means the data is analyzed selectively and described before finding a solution to the problem. This data was analyzed to determine the effects of implementing guidance according to Law Number 5 of 2018 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Terrorism. Efforts to deal with Based on the evidence, it can be concluded that those who commit terrorist crimes in Indonesia are generally quite good. The obtained data shows that former prisoners in terrorism cases in Indonesia have returned to be good citizens. Although Indonesia is making good efforts to combat terrorism, much more needs to be improved. The government, law enforcement agencies and society have to work together in fighting terrorism and avoiding cases of terrorism in the future.
