Abstract

The expansion of Islamic stock investors represents a favorable trend in the growth of the Islamic capital market. Despite this progress, disparities in investment knowledge continue to pose a substantial challenge, particularly for novice investors, as limited understanding may influence the quality and rationality of investment decision-making. This study seeks to investigate the level of sharia stock investment knowledge and examine its effect on investment decisions among Beginner Stock Investors (ISP) in Jember. A quantitative research approach was employed in this study. Data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to all beginner investors who are members of the ISP community in Jember, using a total sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 22, encompassing validity testing, reliability testing, and classical assumption testing. Descriptive statistical analysis was applied to evaluate the level of sharia stock investment knowledge, while simple linear regression analysis was utilized to assess the influence of investment knowledge on sharia stock investment decisions. The results reveal that the level of sharia stock investment knowledge among Beginner Stock Investors (ISP) in Jember is categorized as very good. Furthermore, the findings demonstrate that investment knowledge exerts a positive and statistically significant influence on sharia stock investment decisions. This indicates that higher levels of investment knowledge contribute to more informed, rational, and appropriate decision-making, particularly in selecting stocks that comply with sharia principles

Abstract

Unemployment is a multidimensional socio-economic problem that manifests in various forms, each driven by distinct causes and requiring specific solutions. This study addresses the problem of identifying the different types of unemployment and the challenges in determining appropriate strategies to mitigate them. The objective of this research is to analyze the classifications of unemployment, explore their underlying causes, and propose suitable approaches for their treatment based on both classical economic theory and complementary perspectives. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, relying on literature review and analytical interpretation of traditional economic theories alongside expanded categorizations observed by the researcher. The study examines the linguistic and terminological definitions of unemployment, its various types, and practical strategies for addressing it. The findings reveal that understanding the specific type of unemployment is essential for diagnosing its root causes and implementing effective solutions. Traditional classifications alone are insufficient; therefore, integrating complementary categories provides a more comprehensive framework for analysis and intervention. This study contributes to the enrichment of socio-economic discourse by offering a nuanced classification of unemployment and highlighting the importance of context-specific solutions. It also bridges insights from economic theory with broader intellectual perspectives, supporting more effective policy formulation and academic inquiry.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategies and challenges in introducing Islamic financial institutions to elementary school students at Yannah Wittaya School, Southern Thailand. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted thru in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured thru source and method triangulation. The research results show that the management of financial institutions is carried out thru systematic stages of planning, implementation, reporting, and supervision. Budget preparation is done participatively. Additionally, the practice of school financial management, which includes planning, implementation, reporting, and supervision systematically, also serves as a learning medium to instill values of accountability and transparency in students. However, the implementation of this program faces various challenges, including the limited competence of teachers in the field of sharia finance, limited integration into the formal curriculum, minimal learning resources and institutional support, as well as the low public understanding of the concept of sharia finance. Thus, the introduction of Islamic financial institutions at the elementary school level requires a synergy between innovative pedagogical strategies and sustainable institutional support to build Islamic financial literacy from an early age.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of Islamic financial literacy among Generation Z in the midst of rapid digital financial development, which potentially encourages consumptive behavior without adequate understanding of Sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the level of Islamic financial literacy and identify the factors influencing students’ financial behavior at Tsanawiyah Tawee Wittaya Islam School, Pattani, Thailand. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, using observation, semi-structured interviews with students, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation to ensure validity. The findings reveal that students’ Islamic financial literacy is at a moderate level, characterized by a relatively good understanding of basic concepts such as the prohibition of riba and the importance of responsible financial management, but limited understanding of contract mechanisms (akad), gharar and maysir, as well as their practical implementation in modern financial transactions. Family environment, social media influence, and the integration of Islamic values in education are identified as key determinants shaping students’ financial behavior. This study contributes by highlighting the gap between normative understanding and practical application of Islamic financial literacy in the context of Islamic education within a Muslim minority setting. The implications emphasize the need for more contextual, practice-based, and value-oriented financial literacy education to develop financially literate and ethically responsible generations in accordance with Sharia principles.

Abstract

Financial literacy from an early age is an important foundation for shaping children’s future financial behavior and character, particularly through saving habits. This study aims to analyze teachers’ pedagogical strategies in fostering saving habits among early childhood students at Tadika Tinta Khalifah Malaysia, as well as to identify the impacts and the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research subjects included classroom teachers and the school principal, while early childhood students became the objects of observation related to saving behavior. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that teachers implemented saving habit strategies through regular hands-on saving activities, the use of creative learning media, and teachers’ role modeling in demonstrating frugal and disciplined behavior aligned with early childhood developmental characteristics. These strategies positively influenced children’s enthusiasm for saving activities, strengthened discipline and responsibility, and improved basic financial literacy, such as understanding the function of money, the purpose of saving, and the difference between needs and wants. The success of these strategies was supported by teachers’ commitment, a supportive school environment, and parental involvement, while limited parental understanding of early financial literacy and differences in family economic backgrounds were identified as inhibiting factors. This study contributes to the development of early childhood financial literacy research by presenting a contextual pedagogical strategy model based on habituation and teacher role modeling within an Islamic preschool setting in Malaysia, and by emphasizing the importance of school–family collaboration in fostering sustainable saving habits from an early age.
