Abstract

Abalones release gametes in the water column, where eggs are fertilized. Fertilized eggs are develop into throchophore, veliger, and pediveliger larvae. Larvae will be in the water column up to three days, then it will go down into the sea bottom to settle, metamoprhose, and developed to be juvenile and adult of abalone. A penempelan is transition phase, where mortality rate is very hight. Larvae will search for suitable substrata, where larval behaviour, substrat quality, and current are important factors. Larval abalone will refuse to settle and swim back into water column, when substrata are not suitable. Substarta such as rock, dead coral, dead and branching coral, hard substrata covered by micro algae are favourable substrata for larva abalone to settle. Larvae of marine abalones have varying in swiming speed. These larvae can be trasported by current to a long the beach and also off shore. For abalone tropis H varia, the current speed less than 5 cm per second can stimulate larva Abalone tropis such as H varia to settle.

Abstract

Salah satu kegiatan yang perlu dilaksanakan dalam memelihara sumberdaya alam dan lingkungan hidup untuk menjamin adanya pembangunan yang berkelanjutan adalah penyusunan neraca sumberdaya alam dan lingkungan. Dangan diketahuinya neraca sumberdaya alam, maka indikator pembangunan yang ditunjukan produk domestik bruto akan manjadi lebih sempurna, karena akan benar-benar menunjukkan kapasitas potensi pembangunan yang dimiliki oleh suatu negara.

Abstract

Evaluating the land for Waste TPA (disposal site) has been conducted through comparing the physical land and public response in which the result will be grouped in three classes of compatibility: compatible, relatively compatible, and incompatible. Results of land compatibility assessment constitute a basis to determine (recommend) the location of Waste TPA. Social environment compatibility rate must be included within the measurement together with public response on planning or evaluating stages of Waste TPA location. This assessment emphasizes on education or knowledge rate and public perception on Waste TPA, health rate, and the role. The results, hence, enter into three classes of responses: positive, neutral, and negative.

The Effectiveness Of Liquefied Organic Fertilizer (LOF) Market Waste On Increased Growth and Red-Spinach Production (Amarathus tricolor. L). Ekoton   11. 44-6. Red spinach (Amarathus tricolor L.) is a commodity that has very high development, it is proven that the number of requests tends to increase. Not inferior to other horticultural crops, red spinach plants have a fairly high economic value. Apart from being consumed every time, red spinach also contains nutrients needed by the body (Irwan et al., 2005). According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2017, the total harvested area of ​​spinach in Indonesia in 2017 reached 40,608 hectares with a production of 160,248 tons ranks 9th out of 18 commercial vegetables cultivated and produced in Indonesia. There are 3 traditional markets in Manado City, namely Bahu Market in Malalayang District, Karombasan Market in Wanea District, and Bersehati Market in Wenang District. Can giving market waste POC affect the growth and yield of red spinach? The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of giving market waste POC to the growth and yield of red spinach. And knowing the best POC concentration for the growth and yield of red spinach. It is hoped that this research can provide information on the use of market waste as a source of nutrients for the growth and yield of red spinach in the form of liquid organic fertilizer (POC). This research was arranged using a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with 5 treatments of POC concentration of market waste on red spinach plants. P0: control, P1: 25%, P2: 50%, P3: 75%, P4:100%. Each treatment consisted of 5 plant samples and was repeated 3 times to obtain 75 samples. Market waste POC with a concentration of 75% is the best concentration on the variable height of red spinach plants. Keywords: POC, Red Spinach, Market Garbage

Abstract

This study aims to determine the land suitability class and the distribution map of the durian land suitability class in Kombi District by utilizing the Geographic Information System (GIS). This research was conducted using a survey method in the field. In this study, land units were obtained from the results of overlaying land use maps, soil types, and slopes consisting of 52 land units. The results of this study are that the land suitability class for durian plant development in Kombi District is divided into 2 class classifications, namely marginally suitable (S3) with limiting factor for soil texture (r) and nitrogen (n) and not suitable (N) with slope factor (e) The distribution of land suitability class for durian plants in Kombi District is for marginally suitable class (S3) with an area of 5276.71 ha spread over 16 land units and non-suitable class (N) with an area of 2153.44 ha spread over 7 land units. Keywords: Geographic information system (GIS), land suitability evaluation, durian plant Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelas kesesuaian lahan dan peta persebaran kelas kesesuaian lahan durian di Kecamatan Kombi dengan memanfaatkan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survei di lapangan. Pada penelitian ini satuan lahan diperoleh dari hasil overlay peta penggunaan lahan, jenis tanah, dan lereng yang terdiri dari 52 satuan lahan. Hasil penelitian ini kelas kesesuaian lahan untuk pengembangan tanaman durian di Kecamatan Kombi terbagi menjadi 2 klasifikasi kelas yaitu sesuai marginal (S3) dengan faktor pembatas tekstur tanah (r) dan nitrogen (n) dan tidak sesuai (N). ) dengan faktor kemiringan (e) Sebaran kelas kesesuaian lahan untuk tanaman durian di Kecamatan Kombi adalah untuk kelas sesuai marginal (S3) dengan luas 5.276,71 ha yang tersebar di 16 satuan lahan dan kelas tidak sesuai (N) dengan luas 2153,44 ha yang tersebar di 7 satuan lahan. Kata kunci: Sistem informasi geografis (SIG), evaluasi kesesuaian lahan, tanaman durian.

Abstract

Dumoga, one of some regions of Bolaang Mongondow Regency, is a central region of rice production and so has the most important role in fulfilling the effort of people’s food needs. The research aimed to know the content of nutrients of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Kalium in the paddy fields area of Mopuya Village of North Dumoga Sub-district of Bolaang Mongondow Regency. Analysis of soil samples in the field used Paddy Fields Test Tool (PFTT). The research was conducted for six months from March 2022 to September 2022. The method was Survey Method by sampling soil technique in compositing the samples (whether systematically, or randomized), in which the soil samples were taken on three kinds of soil conditions, i.e.: soil ready to cultivate, the soil one month after planting, and soil after harvesting. Results showed the analysis of N content of soil ready to cultivate, soil one month after planting, and soil after harvesting were low to medium (0.16% – 0.23%). The content of P-available in the soil of ready to cultivate, soil one month after planting, and soil after harvesting were very low to low (8 – 15 ppm). The content of K-available in the soil ready to cultivate, the soil one month after planting, and the soil after harvesting were low to medium (26 – 40 ppm). Analysis Of Irrigation Water Quality For Fields In Treman Village, North Minahasa Kauditan Regency. Ekoton   5. 28-35. This study aims to determine the quality of irrigation water in rice fields in Treman Village, Kauditan District, North Minahasa. This research was conducted for two (2) months, namely from March to April 2023. This research was conducted using purposive sampling method, the sampling technique is Composite. Research samples were taken at three points, namely the Primary Canal, Secondary Canal, and Tertiary Canal. Samples were taken as much as 4500 mL in each Canal, then analyzed at the Manado Industrial Research and Standardization Center Laboratory. The data obtained was analyzed using Bar Chart Statistics. The research shows that the Irrigation Water Quality of Rice Field Areas in Treman Village, Kauditan District, North Minahasa is still classified as very good because it meets the requirements as irrigation water according to Water Quality Of Irrigation based on Ayers & Westcott (1995), and there is no pollution based on Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Protection and Management of Irrigation Water. Land Landscape Analysis Using the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) Method in the Tetempangan Tourism Object, Mandolang District, Minahasa Regency. Ekoton   5. 36-43. This study aims to determine the state of the landscape in the Bukit Tetempangan Tourism Object, Mandolang District, Minahasa Regency. This study uses the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) method to obtain the state of the landscape, elevation data, and slope in the Tetempangan Tourism Object area.   Data collection and processing techniques using the ArcGis 10.3 application. The results obtained in the Bukit Tetempangan Tourism Object Area have 3 slope classes, 0 - 25% (somewhat flat) with an area of 17.8 Ha, 25 - 40% (a bit steep) with an area of 5.33 Ha, and >40% (very steep) with an area of 14.87 ha and a height of 568 meters above sea level (masl). The total altitude data obtained can reach 1986 points. Thus, at this location, there must be a conservation application to prevent erosion and landslides.
