Abstract

In general, companies listed on the stock market prioritize share price increases as a measure of their value. This was done in an effort to attract investors to contribute to the business. Various variables that influence stock prices include profitability, Operating Profit Margin (OPM), Return On Assets (ROA), and Return On Equity (ROE). In theory, profits in Operating Profit Margin (OPM), Return On Equity (ROE), and Return On Assets (ROA) are correlated with higher stock prices, however, at PT. XL Axiata Tbk., these three ratios experienced fluctuations from 2019 to 2023, even in 2023 they indicated an increase. PT. XL Axiata Tbk, but share prices are expected to fall in 2022–2023. The aim of this research is to examine the influence of Operating Profit Margin (OPM), Return On Equity (ROE), and Return On Assets (ROA) on stock prices. In this research, multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze quantitative data using the SPSS (Statistics Product and Service Solution) application program. Based on the research results, there is no real relationship between stock prices and Operating Profit Margin (OPM), Return on Equity (ROE), and Return on Assets (ROA), with respective significance values ??of 0.467, 0.134, and 0.157.

Abstract

CSR is one of the company's initiatives as a form of responsibility in overcoming social disparities and environmental impacts arising from the company's operational activities. CSR disclosure is generally found in the company's sustainability report. The purpose of this study is to examine whether there is a relationship between GCG (with measurements of the audit committee and independent commissioners), liquidity, and company size with CSR disclosure at PT Pertamina (Persero). The data used are secondary data from the sustainability report of PT Pertamina (Persero) from 2018 to 2023 which are accessed through the company's website. The research method applied is multiple regression analysis using SPSS 22 software for data analysis. The results of the study indicate that GCG, liquidity, and company size do not have a significant effect on CSR disclosure at PT Pertamina (Persero)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate and identify the impact of Good Corporate Governance (managerial ownership, institutional ownership, foreign ownership, independent board of commissioners, audit committee), firm size, and profitability on earnings management practices. The studied population consists of transportation and logistics sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2019-2023, totaling 23 companies. The research sample comprises 5 companies observed over 5 years, from 2019 to 2023, using purposive sampling method. Data used are sourced from the companies' annual reports as secondary data. The data analysis methods applied include classic assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS software version 22. The research findings indicate that variables of Good Corporate Governance (managerial ownership, institutional ownership, foreign ownership, independent board of commissioners, and audit committee) do not have a significant influence on earnings management. On the other hand, firm size is proven to have an impact on earnings management practices, while profitability variable does not show a significant influence on earnings management.

Abstract

Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Subsector companies that have negative earning per share values for 2 consecutive years. This indicates that the company is experiencing financial distress or financial difficulties. financial distress occurs due to the company's inability to manage and maintain financial performance, resulting in the company experiencing operational losses. This study aims to test and analyze the effect of operating capacity, liquidity, profitability and solvency on financial distress in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Subsector Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020-2023 Period. This study uses a type of quantitative research. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, obtained 8 companies with 4 years of research. The analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that, operating capacity affects financial distress, liquidity has no effect on financial distress, profitability affects financial distress, and solvency affects financial distress.

Abstract

The merger between Tokopedia and Gojek in 2021 created GoTo Group, a holding company that controls various business units including Gojek, Tokopedia, GoPay, and GoTo Financial. Prior to this merger, Tokopedia and Gojek were two separate business entities that had operated independently in Indonesia. However, these two companies have the same vision and mission, so these two companies decided to merge to become PT GoTo in the hope of getting high profitability. The data used is PT Goto's annual financial report for the 2022-2023 period. The independent variables in this research include liquidity ratios, profitability, leverage and activity, while the dependent variable is financial performance as measured by ROA (Return on Assets) and ROE (Return on Equity). The analytical method used is regression to test the relationship between these variables. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide a clear picture of the impact of mergers on company financial performance. It is hoped that the practical implications of this research can help PT. Goto management in making better strategic decisions in the future.

Abstract

This research uses the hybrid learning method to discuss the perceptions of students and teachers in English language learning. This study aims to understand how students and teachers perceive English language learning through the hybrid method. This research used a descriptive qualitative method, with data obtained through interviews and questionnaires. The study focuses on students and teachers from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, English Department, at Universitas Islam Majapahit. The results of this research indicate that both students and teachers have positive responses toward using hybrid learning in English language education. Hybrid learning facilitates students' understanding of the material, as they can review the instructional videos on the e-learning platform. Students become more enthusiastic about participating in lessons due to the various features and tools available in hybrid learning, which helps to reduce boredom during classes. Hybrid learning is also highly effective in assisting students who cannot attend in person, allowing them to follow the lessons without missing any material. Teachers conduct evaluations at the end of each lesson to identify and address any shortcomings in that day's teaching. Teachers feel glad because this method can accommodate students and teachers who cannot attend in person.

Abstract

Teaching practice plays a crucial role in successful learning. Previous research indicates that low student performance is often not solely due to a lack of content understanding but is also significantly influenced by teachers' practices during the learning process. Intercultural understanding is recognized as a key component of English language proficiency. This research explores how teachers the teachers’ practices while teaching intercultural reading course. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach. The research examines the entire process of intercultural reading instruction in the fourth semester, from initial preparation to post-reading activities. This includes the preparation of materials, reading texts, and the methods of delivery and interaction used by teachers. The findings are based on four observation sessions and an interview with one teacher and two students. The study reveals that teachers provide texts, asked the students to answer related questions, and encourage them to develop critical thinking by connecting newly acquired cultural knowledge with their own experiences. The teaching practices emphasize active discussions and questioning the reading content to enhance students' reading skills while deepening their cross-cultural understanding.

Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of using Edu Game Canva in Teaching writing skill to elementary school students. The research utilized a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest format, where one class was selected using convenience sampling as the study subject. Initially, students were given a pretest to assess their baseline writing skills. This was followed by an intervention where Edu game Canva was integrated into the learning process over several weeks. Subsequently , a posttest was conducted to evaluate the Teaching in the students writing abilities. The results revealed a significant enhancement in students writing skill after the intervention, suggesting that Edu game Canva is effective in supporting writing instruction in elementary schools. These findings highlight the potential for broader application of educational technology like Canva, in elementary school curricula, offering a more interactive and engaging approach to learning that can enhance students academic outcomes.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of Kaizen culture and reward on employee performance at PT. Seino Indomobil Logistics Kantor Project PT. Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Mojokerto. The research methodology uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires to 80 employees. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling. The results of data analysis show that Kaizen culture has a positive and significant influence on employee performance, with a t value of 5,956 (p = 0.000). Reward has a positive and significant influence on employee performance, with a t value of 3.164 (p = 0.002). Kaizen culture and reward together have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a calculated F value of 17,735 (p = 0.000). These findings indicate that the implementation of Kaizen culture and reward can improve employee performance at PT. Seino Indomobil Logistics Kantor Project PT. Pabrik Kertas Tjiwi Kimia Mojokerto

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of marketing and product quality on purchasing decisions for used clothing at Lapak Ibu Store in Mojokerto. The population in this study were all consumers of Lapak Ibu Store in Mojokerto. The sampling technique in this study used the Accidental Sampling technique. The number of samples in this study, which were taken during the period June to July, amounted to about 100 respondents. The results of this study indicate that marketing has a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions with a t value of 3,181 (p = 0.001) and product quality has a significant effect on choosing decisions with a t value of 8,358 (p = 0.001). Simultaneously, marketing variables and product quality together have a significant effect on purchasing decisions for used clothing at Lapak Ibu Store with an F value of 74.889> 2.665, and contribute an influence of 60.7%.
