Abstract

The erratic distribution of rainfall greatly affects people's daily activities, especially in the Semarang City. Therefore, it is necessary to predict rainfall in Semarang City. Correct prediction of rainfall can improve community preparedness in dealing with various natural disasters caused by rain. Machine learning algorithms and data mining have been widely used in research for rainfall data in various regions. The main purpose of this study is to obtain predictions of rainfall in the city of Semarang using machine learning algorithms and to find out the best algorithm for classifying. The dataset used was obtained from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) which is the daily rainfall data in Semarang City. From the dataset, three machine learning algorithms will be classified, namely Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting. To measure the performance of the machine learning algorithm, the classification accuracy of each algorithm is measured. Abstract

Segmentation is one of the important operations in the object recognition process. One of the well-known segmentation methods is image subtraction. This image subtraction process is carried out to separate the foreground object from the background object. Most studies use this method to segment static images. In this study, the performance of the subtraction method will be observed based on the dynamic image input of hand movements. The application of the subtraction method is used for segmentation operations based on different information on different frames with the aim of obtaining information on the hand area. The focus of this research is to compare the results of processing with the subtraction method on different types of inputs based on the nature of their constituent signals, namely analog video input (webcam) and digital video input (stored video). The success of processing on both video inputs is determined from the first segmentation processing that finds the hand area. Two test cases (various lighting levels and outdoor background) were deliberately chosen because they are closely related to the potential weaknesses of the image subtraction method. Based on the test results, it is known that the implementation of the subtraction method for analog video input (webcam) and digital video input on various tests of light and background quality which is quite complex, shows success in finding areas of moving hands. Abstract

The problem of small islands in the national border area related to development policy interventions is still lacking. Geographical position, raises problems in relation to regional accessibility. This is partly due to the remote geographical location, the economic scale of the business, inadequate transportation conditions, limited facilities and infrastructure such as electricity, roads, telecommunications, clean water and others. Small islands as an entity that has a size, special characteristics and vulnerabilities so that the planning and management of small islands requires a different format from large islands. In connection with these problems, it is necessary to increase development interventions through the role of strengthening the role as a center for sustainable growth. Through a descriptive approach with scalogram analysis and clustering, determining the role as a growth center with a coverage area of influence can be done. economic and socio-cultural. The center of growth and grouping of islands is an approach taken to provide direction for spatial planning for small islands. Keywords: Small Islands, Sustainable Development, Growth Center

Abstract

One of the causes of congestion on the highway is the increasing number of motorized vehicle users, whose percentage is now increasing from the use of other vehicles or transportation. Every vehicle in circulation also comes from companies and with various brands. This study aims to determine the comparison of emissions or pressure produced at three constant speeds by five motorized vehicles with different brands using the same type of fuel, to determine the amount of emissions released by each vehicle brand and every hour, and the impact of the resulting emissions on environmental health. . The research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive method with a sampling technique and the data were then analyzed with a literature review and information obtained from the STNK. From this research, it is found that different motorcycle brands with the same year of production have different emission results. Of the five types of brands tested, motorized vehicles with the Beat 110 CC brand and the year of engine production being longer than the other four types produced fewer gas emissions, namely 3237 at a speed of 60 KM/hour. In addition, the pressure (ppm) on the Beat brand will also be lower, although the speed that is different from the other four brands will actually increase the pressure. For the value of emissions issued per hour will also be in line with pressure (ppm). Gas emissions released by motorized vehicles themselves have a harmful impact on health and the environment. One of the dangers posed by vehicle exhaust gases for health and the environment is the increase in hemoglobin levels in the blood which will form COHb in the body. Abstract

Along with the development of technology the use of control systems has been widely used in various aspects, one of which is the measurement of rice field conditions that are still manual will be less efficient in terms of time, because the measurement must go down directly to the field. To solve the problem, a system is needed that can monitor the condition of rice fields continuously. The method used in the study can use several parameters, namely changes in humidity, pH, global positioning system (GPS) and color sensor to know the quality of rice through leaf color. Outoput data from each sensor will be sent to farmers via the internet of things with the help of blynk application. The accuracy of leaf color and soil pH measuring instruments connected to the blynk application is very good, with a pH sensor reading of 99.2%. The accuracy of the GPS module is 10 m from the location indicated in the study. Keyword: sensor, Internet of Things, GPS

Abstract

Increasing population growth and changes in people's consumption methods have resulted in a higher amount of waste. Styrofoam is one of the most common types of waste. Styrofoam is included in the category of inorganic waste that is dangerous both from health and the environment, it is necessary to process styrofoam waste, one of which is by making styrofoam as a building block material. Styrofoam which has a light weight is expected to make the weight of the bricks lighter. The purpose of this study was to determine the physical properties of the bricks with the addition of Styrofoam. The addition of styrofoam will replace sand with levels of 0%, 10%, 25%, and 50%. Visual observation of the bricks with the addition of styrofoam has white spots, gray color. The more styrofoam added, the harder it will be to get a perfect angle on the bricks. Testing the density and specific gravity of the bricks with the addition of styrofoam, it can be concluded that the higher the content of styrofoam as a substitute for sand, the smaller the density and specific gravity of the bricks because the unit weight of the styrofoam is very light. testing the water absorption of the bricks with the addition of styrofoam resulted in the absorption of water in the bricks will be smaller as more and more levels of styrofoam are added, that's due to the watertight nature of styrofoam. Brick Styrofoam content of 0%, 10%, 25%, and 50% included in the quality I according to SNI 03-0349-1989 which is smaller than 25%. Quality I is brick used for load bearing construction, usually used for unprotected construction (outside the roof). Keywords: Batako, Berat Jenis, Penyerapan Air, Styrofoam

Abstract

Malalayang coast has become one of the favorite tourist destinations in the province of north sulawesi. According to the observation, malayang coast has undergone physical changes (damage) in the coast area. Therefore, it is necessary to study the waves characteristics in malalayang coast by using physical modeling, in order to discover the dynamics process that causes erosion or changes in the coastline. However, physical modeling is very expensive and requires a large area of space. To answer these problems, one method that can be used to calculate and to visualize the wave characteristics close to real conditions is to use SMS software, especially by using the CGWAVE module. This study aimed to attain information about the wave transformation process that occurs in the coast of malalayang, so that the results can be used to develop and to secure the coast area. The research methods used in this study were using the CGWAVE module software and also using the manual method (analytically and graphically) as a validation technique. The results of this research indicates that the simulation wave propagation with north direction as the dominant direction, at a significant wave height H=0.26m and the period T=3.2s, produces waves with a height between 0.016m to 1.46m. Afterward, the results of waves direction visualization in all segments has produce the same pattern, that is north direction, especially in the deep sea area. However, the waves direction changed (turns) when the depth changes or passes obstacles, specifically when the waves pass through shallow waters. Abstract

The diversity of local creative products in West Java contributes significantly to national economic growth. Seeing this potential, the West Java Government made special Regional Regulations and has a program to build creative hubs in every Regency/City. However, unlike in other big cities which already have many creative hubs, Bekasi Regency still lacks facilities like this. Many Small and Medium Industry (IKM) products in Bekasi Regency have not yet obtained certification and many creative millennials have business ideas but do not have room for production, capital and product development. In addition, since the 2019 coronavirus disease, creative economic growth in Bekasi Regency has also decreased. By using data collection methods in the form of observation, literature and comparative studies, the design of the Benovation Creative Hub aims to facilitate in supporting creative economic activities in the Bekasi Regency area. This design will combine an eco-tech architectural design concept approach which includes adapting the concept of "new normal". That in fact lately we are still in the new normal situation of the Covid-19 pandemic. Of course, we hope that this condition will end quickly, but choosing to remain consistent in carrying out a "new normal" lifestyle is one of the efforts and good habits to create a healthier environment and life through building design adjustments that facilitate the needs and comfort to carry out this style. that life.
