Abstract

This article examines the public relations strategy of J&T Express in maintaining customer loyalty. This article uses a qualitative methodology with a descriptive analysis method. The data was obtained by means of field observations and interviews with informants, the findings of this article are that J&T Express seems to be implementing exclusive strategies so that some customers are loyal for a long time. Public Relations J&T Express applies both internal and external strategies. The internal communication strategy includes a push strategy, in which the company's internal parties use a SWOT analysis to identify the industry's position with competitors. The external strategy includes a pull strategy, where J&T takes advantage of the COD feature that can attract consumers to minimize fraud by online shops.

Abstract

This article discusses the important role of Public Relations in the Digital Age. The method of analysis of this article is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative analysis approach. Digital Public Relations can be referred to as Cyber Public Relations which is used in company reputation management. The practice of Digital Public Relations is part of public relations activities adapted from the use of information and communication technology for companies. PR plays an important role in providing healthy and positive information to the public in the midst of the polemic of the development of communication technology. Therefore, PR must provide information that takes into account pluralism and cultural sensitivity in the community.

Abstract

Agro Sinergi Nusantara which is engaged in oil palm plantations, since its establishment in 2011 until now has never been demonstrated or received rejection from the community. The company always implements CSR or social responsibility programs. The purpose of this research is to seek and find knowledge that can be used directly in life. In conducting this study, the author uses a qualitative analysis approach and descriptive method. The findings that the authors get are; focus of CSR implementation of PT. Agro Sinergi Nusantara Kebun Ujung Lamie in 5 fields, education, environment, infrastructure, social and health. CSR PT. Agro Sinergi Nusantara can be classified into a centralized circle model, because CSR in the company focuses on its responsibilities on the economic aspect, but also does not forget its responsibilities to other aspects and are interrelated with each other. This can be seen from the formation and increasing image of the company. Keywords: Company image, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Abstract

The film Imperfect: Career, Love, and scales is a form of criticism on the issue of body shaming in Indonesia. The purpose of this movie is to increase self-love and show respect for others by abstaining from making physical comparisons with them. Even in families, friendship groups, and places of employment, body shaming is frequently made fun of. Social media is also used to promote hate through body shaming. The objectives of this study are to ascertain the meaning of body shaming's denotation and connotation in the movie Imperfect and to ascertain the semiotic analysis of the Islamic viewpoint on body shaming in the movie Imperfect. Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis method, which looks at denotation and connotation, is used in this study's qualitative methodology. The body shaming in the film Imperfect is explained using Barthes' semiotic theory. The findings indicated that body shaming, both verbal and nonverbal, occurred in the movie Imperfect. In the movie Imperfect, verbal body shaming takes the form of disparaging body type, skin tone, and fashion choices made by others. Nonverbal behaviors including cynical looks, laughter, shocked looks at someone's bodily changes, and whispering are examples of body shaming. Body shaming that is practiced vocally and nonverbally is extremely reprehensible behavior if it is connected to an Islamic worldview.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan hasil kajian kepustakaan terhadap peran penting komunikasi Islam menghadapi dampak kemajuan revolusi industri 4.0. Data primer dan sekunder diperoleh dari buku-buku dan artikel jurnal yang ditulis para pakar dalam bidangnya yang selanjutnya dibahas secara seksama terkait fokus yang telah ditetapkan sebelumnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peradaban yang muncul dari revolusi industri 4.0 telah menggiring manusia pada tataran hidup serba cepat dan beresiko tinggi. Manusia seperti kehilangan identitas kemanusiaan dan spiritualitasnya ketika berhadapan dengan tempo kerja teknologi era ini. Sebagai suatu disiplin ilmu yang sangat terkait dengan fenomena ini, komunikasi Islam menjadi alternatif penting dalam rangka menyelamatkan manusia dari proses dehumanisasi dan despiritualisasi.

Abstract

This article discusses the important role related to the news of the corona virus in the Republika media, this study uses a descriptive method. The data was obtained from journalists and editors related to the news in the Republika Daily. From the results of this study, it was found that news about the corona virus in an Islamic perspective was conveyed accurately, honestly and openly to the public who read Republika Daily.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Peran media sosial sebagai media promosi Bayt Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar sebagai objek wisata religi di Sumatera Selatan”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif deskriptif adalah menggambarkan data hasil penelitian secara jelas dan lengkap tanpa melakukan analisa perbandingan dan hubungan dengan variabel lain, hanya terbatas pada apa yang nampak dan terdengar saja. Analisis secara kualitatif maksudnya adalah data dari hasil penelitian di gambarkan dalam bentuk kata dan kalimat. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh peran media sosial menunjukan bahwa peranan media sosial dalam mempromosikan wisata Bayt Al-Qur’an Al-akbar sudah berjalan dengan baik yaitu meleliputi tujuan dari mempromosikan wisata Bayt Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar dari semua tujuan ini sudah dilakukan dengan langka-langka yang telah disusun sesuai dengan tujuan dari pengelolaan wisata Bayt Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar Palembang. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh pihak pengelola agar wisata al-qur’an al-akbar tetap ramai dikunjungi oleh wisatawan baik dalam maupun luar kota maka diperlukan media dalam mempromosikan wisata Bayt Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar Palembang.

Abstract

Every individual will interact through communication according to the language they have. The success or failure of the communication process depends heavily on the understanding of the language of the individuals involved in the interaction process. There are separate obstacles for migrants from outside Aceh to interact with the people and the environment who have their own culture, language and customs. One of the obstacles for these migrants is the language barrier. This study aims to find out how immigrants from outside Aceh adapt to the language with the community and the surrounding environment in intercultural communication. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study with the research subjects being informants who are migrants from outside Aceh who live in the Acehnese community. The theory in this study is the theory of cross-cultural adaptation. The results of this study were in the form of an adaptation process to the language carried out by Mrs. N P and Mrs. Er, who directly practiced the Acehnese language in daily communication. Both of them asked the other person if there were any unknown words. In addition, the two of them were not ashamed even though they spoke Acehnese mixed with Indonesian. Thus it can be concluded that adaptation to language affects the lives of outsiders from Aceh.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the causes behind the process of culture shock among overseas students in Banda Aceh to describe the process of cultural adaptation and its impact on overseas students at UIN Ar-Raniry. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews and documentation. The results of the study explained that there were 5 stages experienced by overseas students in cultural adaptation. The two key informants had expectations when they were going abroad and had motives to study in college and achieve their goals, this was also included in the honeymoon stage. The process of interaction and lectures abroad results in a phase of frustration where there are some sick so that there is a need for adjustments to new things overseas until there are exchanges in terms of culture, ethics and meaning, these things include in the readjustment stage. At the resolution stage, the two key informants decided to stay overseas to complete their studies Keywords: Intercultural Communication, Culture Shock, Cultural Adaptation, Overseas Students Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penyebab yang melatar belakangi proses terjadinya culture shock pada mahasiswa perantauan di Banda Aceh hingga mendeskripsikan proses adaptasi budaya serta dampaknya pada mahasiswa perantauan di UIN Ar-Raniry. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa ada 5 tahapan yang dialami oleh mahasiswa perantau dalam adaptasi budaya. Kedua key informan memiliki ekspektasi saat akan menjalani perantauan serta punya motif untuk berkuliah dan menggapai cita-cita, hal ini juga termasuk ke dalam tahap bulan madu. Proses interaksi dan perkuliahan di perantauan mengakibatkan adanya tahap frustasi yang dimana ada yang sakit sehingga perlu adanya penyesuaian terhadap hal-hal yang baru di perantauan sampai adanya pertukaran dalam hal budaya, etika dan makna, hal-hal ini termasuk ke dalam tahap penyesuaian kembali. Pada tahap resolusi, kedua key informan memutuskan tetap bertahan di perantauan untuk menyelesaikan studinya. Kata kunci: Komunikasi Antarbudaya, Gegar Budaya, Adaptasi Budaya, Mahasiswa Perantauan
