Abstract

This article aims to discuss the function of Islamic communication from the perspective of the Qur'an. The functions discussed here are the informing function and the socialization function. The functions discussed are directed at how to make these functions function as they should. In other words, these functions are not only discussed at a normative level, but also more importantly at an applied level. This discussion involves various critical studies of several related interpretations which are linked to the efforts to function of the Islamic communication function being discussed. From this study, it was found that the information function only works if all components in the information cycle are actually carried out as they should. The function of socialization will only truly function if the factors that influence a person's interest in socializing with other people are implemented properly in accordance with the guidance of Islamic religious teachings.

Abstract

This research explores the urgency of Islamic political education through social media in shaping citizens' understanding of Islamic values. The research approach uses qualitative methods and content analysis by taking data from interviews and social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram and YouTube. Through a qualitative approach, this research answers key questions related to the urgency of Islamic political education, the impact of social media, and citizen participation in the presidential election process. The Humanistic Theory of Political Education is the basis for understanding how Islamic political education can shape citizen understanding and participation. The research results show that social media is an effective channel for spreading Islamic political education. Islamic political education through social media has a strategic role in shaping citizens' understanding and participation in the presidential election. The implications of this research can be used to improve the quality of Islamic political education and utilize social media as an effective tool for spreading Islamic values ​​in the political realm.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of exposure to divorce news on social media on the decision to postpone marriage in early adults in Banda Aceh City. The background of this study is the rapid development of information technology and social media that affects various aspects of life, including marriage. Based on data, there has been a significant increase in the divorce rate in Indonesia, including in Aceh, which is often reported on social media such as Instagram. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method using a questionnaire that assesses the frequency, duration, and attention of Instagram users to divorce news. The population of this study, namely early adults in Banda Aceh City, was 82,963 people with a sample taken of 100 people who were determined using the Slovin formula with a simple random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is a simple linear regression test with the equation Y = 7,212 + 0.338X, the correlation coefficient value of 0.336, the coefficient of determination of 11.3% and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was a significant effect of frequency, duration, and attention to the exposure of divorce news on Instagram on the decision to delay marriage in early adulthood in Banda Aceh City. This research is expected to contribute to the study of mass communication, especially related to the effects of social media on people's social behavior.

Abstract

Proses komunikasi dalam kehidupan sehar-hari tidak terlepas dari penggunaan bahasa dan juga simbol-simbol tertentu, Simbol berasal dari kata Yunani yaitu symbol. Simbol dipandang sebagai ungkapan inderawi atas realitas yang transenden dalam sistem logika dan ilmu pengetahuan simbol memiliki arti sebagai tanda yang abstrak. Simbol merupakan sesuatu yang dengan persetujuan bersama dianggap sebagai gambaran atas realitas dan pemikiran. Artikel ini mengkaji tentang makna simbol dalam proses komunikasi sehari-hari. Hasil dari kajian ini adalah simbol merupakan sarana pembawa aspirasi bagi suatu kelompok dan atau lambang sekaligus acuan dan pola dalam bertindak serta dalam bekerja bagi kita sehari-hari. Dengan demikian simbol tersebut menjadi penting dalam hidup dan kehidupannya disamping itu simbol adalah sebuah nilai yang tiada taranya adalah mengekspresikan pesan-pesan untuk komunikan tertentu.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effectiveness of interpersonal communication in increasing the loyalty of coffee shop visitors in Banda Aceh. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study explores the experiences and perspectives of coffee shop visitors and staff regarding interpersonal communication that occurs in their interactions. The results of the study indicate that effective interpersonal communication, which includes friendly greetings, personal attention, and non-verbal communication such as smiling and eye contact, has a significant influence on customer satisfaction. This satisfaction, in turn, becomes a strong mediator in building customer loyalty. In addition, the challenges faced by staff in maintaining consistent friendly communication, especially during peak hours, indicate the need for training and a work culture that supports effective communication. Coffee shop owners and management play an important role in creating an environment that supports positive interpersonal communication. These findings provide practical implications that coffee shops in Banda Aceh, by prioritizing good interpersonal communication, can improve customer experience and strengthen their loyalty, which ultimately contributes to business sustainability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran zakat dalam mengurangi kemiskinan ekstrem di Aceh, dengan fokus pada distribusi zakat kepada asnaf miskin selama bulan Ramadhan 2022. Zakat, sebagai rukun Islam ketiga, memiliki fungsi strategis dalam menciptakan keseimbangan sosial dan memberantas kemiskinan. Dalam konteks Aceh, pengelolaan zakat dilakukan oleh Baitul Mal Aceh (BMA), yang bertugas menghimpun dan menyalurkan zakat sesuai dengan prinsip syariat Islam dan regulasi pemerintah. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi pustaka, mengkaji laporan resmi, literatur akademik, dan data statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mekanisme distribusi zakat oleh BMA dilakukan melalui verifikasi di setiap desa, dengan mengidentifikasi dua orang miskin sebagai penerima manfaat. Zakat yang disalurkan memberikan dampak signifikan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dasar masyarakat miskin dan mengurangi kemiskinan ekstrem. Namun, terdapat tantangan dalam pendistribusian dana zakat dan infaq yang belum sepenuhnya tersalurkan hingga akhir tahun, yang memerlukan langkah strategis untuk mencegah inflasi dan menjaga stabilitas ekonomi Aceh. Zakat memiliki potensi besar sebagai solusi pengentasan kemiskinan ekstrem di Aceh. Sinergi antara BMA, pemerintah, dan lembaga terkait diperlukan

Abstract

Abstract The direct election of regional heads in Aceh, which began in 2006, has become a significant milestone in Indonesia's democratic journey, particularly in post-conflict Aceh. This electoral model reflects the uniqueness of Aceh as a region with special autonomy, and serves as a laboratory for democracy in Indonesia. However, the implementation of the election was marked by significant challenges, such as regulatory complexity, local political dynamics, and the development of a democratic culture. The participation of former members of the Free Aceh Movement (GAM) in the 2006 local elections received special attention as part of the implementation of the Helsinki Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreed upon in 2005. This research aims to examine the regulations governing the local elections in Aceh. The research method used is qualitative. The results obtained indicate that the implementation of regulations in the regional head elections in Aceh includes the implementation of the Aceh Government Law (UUPA). This grants special authority in the administration of regional head elections. This authority regulates local values, community traditions, and local political dynamics, as well as alleviating the ongoing political situation.

Abstract

Era digital membawa perubahan mendasar dalam kehidupan umat manusia. Kehadiran media sosial, terutama TikTok, telah mengubah perilaku masyarakat dalam interaksi antarsesama. Unggahan konten-konten video di TikTok memiliki daya tarik tersendiri bagi penduduk Indonesia. Data menunjukkan bahwa penduduk Indonesia adalah pengguna TikTok terbesar di dunia, mengalahkan Amerika Serikat dan Brazil. Artikel ini memfokuskan kajian pada kekuatan dakwah melalui media sosial TikTok dan korelasinya dengan ayat-ayat Al-Quran tentang amar makruf dan nahyi munkar. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, disajikan secara deskriptif serta menjadikan ayat-ayat Al-Quran sebagai landasan dalam melakukan analisis. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial TikTok memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam penyebaran informasi dan efektif dalam memengaruhi audien. Penyampaian pesan melalui rekaman video yang disertai narasi atau orasi memiliki daya pikat tersendiri yang berbeda dari media lain. Islam tidak menolak kemajuan teknologi. Justru Islam mendorong umatnya untuk beradaptasi sesuai kemajuan zaman. Menyebarkan pesan dakwah melalui media sosial tidak bertentangan dengan norma Islam. Agama Islam memosisikan setiap muslim/muslimah adalah juru dakwah. Al-Quran menekankan tiga aspek materi (konten) dakwah yang perlu disebarluaskan kepada publik untuk mengimbangi mereka dari pengaruh negatif keberadaan media sosial, yaitu aqidah, ibadah dan akhlak.

Abstract

This research is based on the phenomenon of imbalance between the academic world and the professional world, which tends to prioritize expertise and professionalism, while universities often emphasize academic abilities with various theories. The imbalance becomes the cause of the inability of university graduates to face competition in the workforce. This is what constitutes the implementation of internships. The research uses a qualitative approach with interview techniques. The research results show that on average, MBKM internship students at the Islamic Sharia Office of Banda Aceh City have been able to communicate well, allowing them to be accepted and blend in well. The communication process that occurs is still passive, meaning that students accept any tasks assigned by their superiors. The process of completing the assigned tasks is carried out through structured consultations, so their presence is seen as having contributed to the duties of state apparatus.
