Abstract

So far, the use of teaching materials in class VII of SMP N 1 Barumun is still less interesting and the learning method tends to be teacher-centered. Students' problem-solving abilities are also still poor with a percentage of student completion in the pre-test of 16.67%. So in an effort to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, one of them is by developing teaching materials using the reciprocal teaching model. The teaching materials developed are teacher books, student books, lesson plans and student worksheets. This study aims to determine how to develop teaching materials to improve problem-solving abilities using the reciprocal teaching model in class VII of SMP N 1 Barumun in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research is a research and development (R&D). Using the 4D development model. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The validity of the teaching materials gets a value of 90% which is in the "Very Valid" category. The practicality of the teaching materials gets a value of 91.73% which is in the "Very Practical" category. The effectiveness of the teaching materials gets a value of 86.67%. (2) Mathematics teaching materials developed using the Reciprocal teaching model can increase students' mathematical problem-solving abilities by 70%

Abstract

The review analyses educational difficulties alongside teaching possibilities that arise within Timor-Leste's primary school mathematics education. Many barriers obstruct effective mathematics teaching despite extensive school improvement initiatives by creating problems with unqualified teachers and limited educational resources, which make student understanding complex because of language barriers. The post-conflict recovery context of Timor-Leste adds more difficulties to the educational system because it has damaged the school infrastructure and teacher development processes. Recent structures of curriculum reform target the modernisation of teaching techniques with peer collaborative initiatives that support educator professional development as administrative forces advance mother tongue-based educational programs for increased student comprehension through native language instruction. This review combines information from ten studies about the current mathematics education status of Timor-Leste, which helps policy leaders and education professionals gain important knowledge. The mathematics education system of Timor-Leste requires special interventions that combine competent teacher training with appropriate financial resources to support teachers in resolving existing difficulties while utilising language effectively for developmental gains

Abstract

Many students still perceive mathematics as a difficult and uninteresting subject, which results in low learning motivation. One approach considered effective in addressing this issue is game-based learning, which can create an interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning environment. This study aims to describe the concept of game-based learning, its implementation in mathematics education, and its effects on increasing students’ interest and motivation, particularly through Islamic-themed educational games. This research employs a literature review method by analyzing theories, books, and previous studies.The findings show that the use of educational games not only enhances students’ active engagement and facilitates their understanding of mathematical concepts but also provides a more enjoyable learning experience. Previous studies confirm that educational games can increase learning interest by up to 70–80% and foster positive attitudes toward learning.Moreover, the integration of Islamic values within educational games has been proven to strengthen noble character development, such as honesty, responsibility, and patience.Therefore, Islamic-themed educational games can serve as a strategic alternative to improve the quality of mathematics learning, provided they are supported by proper planning and teachers’ readiness in implementing them

Abstract

Pembelajaran seni musik di sekolah dasar memiliki potensi strategis dalam membentuk sikap dan karakter siswa, termasuk sikap keberagamaan. Perkembangan teknologi digital membuka peluang integrasi media digital dalam pembelajaran seni musik, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan lagu religi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran lagu religi digital dalam pembelajaran seni musik terhadap sikap keberagamaan siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di SDN 1 Pakalu 1. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Wawancara dilakukan kepada guru dan siswa untuk menggali pengalaman pembelajaran, pemaknaan lirik lagu, serta perubahan sikap keberagamaan siswa, sedangkan dokumentasi digunakan untuk memperkuat data berupa perangkat pembelajaran dan aktivitas kelas. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan lagu religi digital, khususnya lagu Asmaul Husna, mampu membantu siswa memahami dan menginternalisasi nilai-nilai keagamaan seperti kasih sayang, keadilan, sikap pemaaf, dan pengendalian diri. Pembelajaran seni musik berbasis lagu religi digital menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan bermakna, sehingga memudahkan siswa mengaitkan makna lirik lagu dengan perilaku sehari-hari di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi lagu religi digital dalam pembelajaran seni musik dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mendukung penguatan sikap keberagamaan siswa sekolah dasar

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) in improving the student learning experience in higher education, as well as its contribution to the achievement of the goals of Quality Education (SDG 4). Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study analyzed 15 scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025, which focused on the use of LMS in improving student learning outcomes, motivation, and independence. The results showed that the use of LMS consistently improved learning outcomes by between 10% to 20%, as well as increased student learning independence by between 15% to 17%. LMSs such as Moodle, Edmodo, and Google Classroom have proven to be effective in supporting flexible and interactive learning. In addition, the integration of artificial intelligence in the LMS further strengthens the adaptive learning personalization. The study also found that LMS plays an important role in supporting the achievement of SDG 4 by expanding access to inclusive and sustainable quality education, as well as improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of learning around t he world, thereby supporting broader education transformation

Abstract

This article study aims to analyze the influence of the "Someone to talk" program on the abilities of students at the Barus Islamic College of Religion in facing the challenges of the boarding school system. Dormitory life at a religious college requires students to adapt academically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally. Many students experience psychological stress, communication difficulties, and decreased motivation to learn due to limited sharing space and social support. The "Someone to talk" program is presented as an interpersonal communication-based mentoring approach that provides a safe space for students to share experiences, complaints, and problem-solving strategies

Abstract

Teknologi 5G dan Over-The-Top (OTT) dalam penyiaran radio merupakan bidang yang semakin mendapat perhatian dalam kalangan akademik dan industri. Namun, pemahaman terhadap potensinya masih terhad, khususnya dalam konteks penyiaran digital di Malaysia. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti trend, cabaran, dan potensi impak teknologi ini terhadap industri penyiaran melalui kaedah Systematic Literature Review. Sebanyak lapan artikel yang diterbitkan antara 2019 sehingga 2024 dianalisis secara sistematik. Dapatan kajian mendedahkan tiga tema utama: isu teknikal pelaksanaan 5G dan OTT, cabaran struktur serta polisi pelaksanaan, dan perubahan landskap penyiaran akibat teknologi ini. Kajian ini mencadangkan agar penyelidikan bersifat tempatan dipertingkatkan bagi memahami implikasi terhadap model perniagaan, infrastruktur, dan corak penggunaan media di Malaysia. Penemuan ini diharapkan dapat membantu pembuat dasar dan pemain industri merangka strategi transformasi digital yang lebih berkesan.   .

Abstract

This study aims to design a Decision Support System (DSS) to objectively determine restocking priorities in Dawa Supermarket. The main challenge faced is the difficulty in identifying which items should be prioritized for reordering amidst fluctuating sales levels and product diversity, which poses the risk of understocking or overstocking. The method used is the Technique of Preference Ordering by Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), utilizing evaluation criteria such as sales levels, remaining stock, lead time, and item prices. The calculation process involves identifying alternatives with the shortest distance from the positive ideal solution and the longest distance from the negative ideal solution to produce a final preference value. The results show that the application of the TOPSIS method provides more accurate and measurable recommendations for procurement priorities, thereby assisting Dawa Supermarket management in optimizing shelf availability and improving working capital turnover efficiency

Abstract

The selection of an optimal housing location is a complex decision-making process involving multiple conflicting criteria, such as accessibility, environmental conditions, land price, and proximity to public facilities. This study develops a Decision Support System (DSS) for selecting the best housing location in the Jalan Baru area using the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method. The TOPSIS method is chosen for its ability to rank alternatives based on their geometric distance to both positive and negative ideal solutions. Several criteria were considered, including land price, distance to the city center, road access, availability of utilities (water, electricity), and proximity to schools, markets, and health facilities. Data were collected through field surveys and spatial analysis. The results show that the TOPSIS method effectively identifies the most suitable housing location by providing a clear preference order among alternatives. The proposed DSS offers a transparent, systematic, and objective tool for property developers and local governments to support housing site selection decisions. This study contributes to the application of multi-criteria decision-making in urban planning and real estate development

Abstract

The rapid growth of the culinary industry, particularly cafés, requires business owners to make accurate decisions in determining the most popular menu items. In many cases, identifying best-selling menu items is still done manually based on estimation, which can lead to inaccuracies and poor decision-making. Therefore, a Decision Support System (DSS) is needed to assist in determining the best-selling menu items objectively and systematically. This study aims to design and implement a Decision Support System to determine the best-selling menu items in a café using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is chosen because it can evaluate multiple criteria with a simple and easy-to-understand calculation process. The criteria used in this study include sales quantity, price, customer rating, and serving time. Each criterion is assigned a different weight based on its level of importance. The result of this study is a system capable of ranking menu items based on the highest preference values. With this system, café owners can more easily determine sales strategies, improve service quality, and optimize business profits
