Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has significantly transformed the way organizations manage and utilize data, leading to the emergence of Big Data as a critical asset in strategic decision-making processes. Big Data is characterized by its high volume, velocity, variety, veracity, and value, making it a powerful resource for gaining insights and supporting long-term strategic planning. This paper explores the integration of Big Data into information systems and evaluates its impact on strategic decision-making across different industry sectors. Through a qualitative descriptive approach involving literature reviews and case studies, the research highlights how organizations leverage Big Data technologies such as data lakes, real-time analytics, and predictive modeling to enhance decision-making effectiveness. The findings reveal that organizations that successfully implement Big Data analytics can achieve improved forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, customer segmentation, and early risk detection. However, challenges such as data governance, skill shortages, and system integration complexities remain significant barriers. This study emphasizes the need for robust technological infrastructure, skilled human resources, and ethical data management to fully realize the potential of Big Data in strategic decision-making. The paper contributes to the ongoing discourse on data-driven strategies by offering insights into best practices and the strategic value of Big Data integration in modern information systems

Abstract

The integration of technology in English language teaching has brought about a paradigm shift in educational methodologies. It offers a diverse range of tools and resources that facilitate interactive, flexible, and student-centered learning environments. This study explores the perceptions of teachers and students on the use of technology in English language education, focusing on its benefits, challenges, and overall impact. Teachers perceive technology as a valuable aid in Enga cing student engagement and providing access to authentic language materials, while also expressing concerns about dependency, technical issues, and unequal access. Students, on the other hand, appreciate the interactivity and flexibility provided by technological tools but acknowledge distractions and over-reliance as potential drawbacks. The research employs qualitative methods, including semi-structured interviews with teachers and focus group discussions with students, to uncover nuanced perspectives. Findings indicate that while technology enhances accessibility and personalized learning, its effectiveness depends on factors such as teacher preparedness, balanced usage, and equitable access. This study underscores the need for professional development for educators and strategic policies to address disparities in access. A balanced approach combining traditional and technological methods is recommended to optimize the potential of digital tools in English language teaching.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) evaluate the context of the Qur’an recitation program for the SD Negeri 10 Lubuk Layang. 2) evaluate the input of the Qur’an recitation program for the SD Negeri 10 Lubuk Layang. 3) evaluate the process of the Qur’an recitation program for the SD Negeri 10 Lubuk Layang. 4) evaluate the product of the Qur’an recitation program for the SD Negeri 10 Lubuk Layang. This research is an evaluative type of research with a descriptive qualitative approach, in this study using the evaluation model of the Stufflebeam theory, namely CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product). Data obtained by interview, observation and documentation. Data analysis used in this study by reducing data, after that it is presented in the form of description and verified by drawing conclusions.The results of this study indicate that: 1) the evaluation results of of the Qur’an recitation program for the SD Negeri 10 Lubuk Layang show that the program has clear goals and plans. 2) the results of evaluating the input of the Qur’an tahfizh program are known that the competence of the thafizh teacher is appropriate because it has memorization and the ability to understand the reading of the al-Qur’an, while students participating in the tahfizh program have high memorization in memorizing.Besides this program is supported by good infrastructure, especially with the guidance book that is owned by each student. 3) the results of the evaluation of the Qur’an tahfizh program shows that the process of implementing the qur’an tahfizh runs efficiently and in accordance with what hasbeen agrred upon. The method used is talaqqi, and which is an obstacle in the implementation of tahfizh Qur’an namely the lack of time tahfizh hours and the lack of tutors of tahfizh Qur’an. 4)Product evaluation results show that the achievement of the target memorization of students goes according to the target, althought there are still those who have not passed the test but iit can be overcome by the teacher tahfizh. The conclusion is that the Qur’an tahfizh program in SD Negeri 10 Lubuk Layang runs according to a predetermined plan, although in its implementation there are some obstacles that must be corrected. Tahfizh achievementsof good students are caused by the existence of good cooperation between schools and parents at home to jointly provide encouragement, support and supervision in memorizing children’s Qur’an

Abstract

Education is evolving rapidly to keep pace with a world increasingly driven by technology. Traditional teaching methods often fail to adequately prepare students for today’s challenges. This study looks at STEAM education, which brings together Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, and how it can help students in Timor-Leste develop important skills like critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and flexibility. Using a review of existing data, including national policies, reports from international organizations, and successful examples from countries like Finland and Singapore, the study examines key areas such as curriculum, teacher training, school resources, digital tools, and policy support. The results show that STEAM education can make learning more engaging and effective, but Timor-Leste faces problems like limited resources, not enough trained teachers, and no clear national plan for STEAM. To improve this, the study suggests a careful, step-by-step approach that fits Timor-Leste’s needs and supports fair and lasting changes in education

Abstract

Many social science students at the Instituto Católico para a Formação de Professores (ICFP) Baucau, Timor-Leste, face difficulties when studying natural science in their second year because of their different academic backgrounds. This study aims to explore strategies that make natural science learning more accessible and engaging for these students. Using a literature review of recent research, the paper examines teaching methods that enhance motivation and understanding. Key approaches include hands-on experiments, clear explanations, interactive activities, and the use of real-life examples connected to students’ social and cultural contexts. The findings show that when science lessons are simplified, contextualized, and linked to practical experiences, students become more motivated and confident in their learning. These strategies not only improve comprehension but also make science more meaningful for learners from non-science backgrounds. The study provides recommendations for teachers at ICFP Baucau to design inclusive and engaging lessons that support social science students in successfully learning natural science

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of student-centred learning (SCL) strategies for enhancing students’ ability to learn English and their speaking and writing competence at the elementary level in Timor-Leste. The research employed a qualitative design to investigate how teachers focus on SCL strategies to enhance students' language skills and how these strategies are implemented in classroom practice, based on semi-structured interviews with one English teacher and three students at EBC Seloi-Craic in Aileu. Thematic analysis was used to analyse the data, which included the participants' perceptions and experiences. The results indicate that the teacher focused on SCL and included systematic tasks like quizzes, dictations, sentence constructions, and classroom presentations, which gave the students opportunities to express their thoughts. Collaborative learning, differentiated assessment, and motivation support could promote students' confidence, fluency, engagement, critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Students attested that SCL provided a supportive classroom atmosphere in which they felt free to communicate and learn from fellow pupils. The research finds that SCL is a useful pedagogy that can be successfully used to enhance English language proficiency in multilingual settings like Timor-Leste, and it has implications for teaching practice, curriculum, and teacher development

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the use of the Quantum Learning model affects the mathematical communication skills of Class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Sosa for the Academic Year 2024/2025. This research is a quasi-experimental study with the population being the Class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sosa for the Academic Year 2024/2025. The class is divided into two groups, one as the experimental class and one as the control class. The experimental class is taught mathematics using the Quantum Learning model and the control class is taught using the conventional learning model. The research instrument consists of a test of students' mathematical communication skills which has been tested for validity, reliability, difficulty index, and discrimination power of the questions. The results of the testing concluded that the mathematical communication ability test for students is suitable for use. The hypothesis testing results showed that the t-value with equal variances assumed is 1.875 while the t-table value for df 52 is 1.675. Therefore, the t-value > t-table indicates that H1 is accepted. According to the research hypothesis in H1, there is an effect of the quantum learning model on students' mathematical communication abilities in class XI at SMA Negeri 1 Sosa for the academic year 2024/2025. Each indicator has the highest mastery percentage in the experimental class (quantum learning) compared to the control class (conventional). The best indicator of mathematical communication ability in the experimental class is indicator 3 (Ability to understand and evaluate mathematical ideas). The mastery percentage for the indicator in the experimental class is 85%, while in the control class it is 83.80%.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental study with a population of Class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Sosa Academic Year 2024/2025. The sample in this study is Class X-5 as the experimental class and Class X-2 as the control class. The experimental class is taught using the self directed learning model while the control class is taught using the conventional learning model. The aim of this research is to determine whether the self directed learning model has an effect on the mathematical connection skills of Class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Sosa Academic Year 2024/2025. The results of the hypothesis test indicate that the t-value with equal variances assumed is 5.287 with a t-table value of 1.677. Thus, the t-value > t-table, meaning H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of the above-mentioned test concluded that there is an influence of the self-directed learning model on the mathematical connection skills of students in class X at SMA Negeri 1 Sosa for the 2024/2025 academic year. The percentage of mastery of mathematical connection indicators is always higher in the experimental class compared to the control class. The best connection skill indicator in the experimental class is indicator 2, which is understanding how mathematical ideas are connected and built upon each other in a comprehensive way at 88.90%. Different results were found in the control class, where the best connection skill indicator was indicator 3, which is recognising and using mathematics in contexts outside of mathematics at 74.47%..

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of deep learning approaches in Pancasila Education as a new direction for achieving quality education for all in Indonesian elementary schools. Deep learning in this context emphasizes not only cognitive understanding but also the internalization of values, critical thinking, and character building. By employing a literature-based research design, this study synthesizes recent findings (2019–2024) on how deep learning strategies can transform Pancasila Education into a more meaningful, inclusive, and future-oriented practice. The results indicate that deep learning enhances students’ ability to connect Pancasila values with real-life situations, thereby making learning more contextual and reflective. Moreover, deep learning aligns closely with the goals of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila, which highlights faith, independence, global diversity, collaboration, critical reasoning, and creativity. The integration of digital technology further strengthens the effectiveness of this approach, enabling interactive, project-based, and student-centered learning. Challenges remain, particularly in terms of teachers’ readiness, limited resources, and administrative burdens, which often hinder the full implementation of deep learning practices. Nevertheless, this study concludes that adopting deep learning in Pancasila Education can foster civic literacy, social-emotional competence, and 21st-century skills among students. Therefore, deep learning provides not only a pedagogical strategy but also a paradigm shift in reimagining Pancasila Education as a transformative force for achieving inclusive and high-quality education for all.

Abstract

Metode Forward Chaining adalah teknik inferensi dalam sistem pakar yang bekerja maju dari fakta menuju kesimpulan. Metode ini banyak diterapkan dalam berbagai bidang seperti kesehatan, pertanian, dan otomotif untuk mendukung proses diagnosis dan pengambilan keputusan berbasis aturan. Paper ini melakukan review terhadap 15 jurnal yang menggunakan metode Forward Chaining untuk menganalisis implementasi, data yang digunakan, serta efektivitas metode tersebut. Hasil review menunjukkan bahwa Forward Chaining efektif dan cocok untuk sistem berbasis pengetahuan yang memulai inferensi dari fakta yang diketahui. Beberapa studi juga mengombinasikan metode ini dengan teknik lain untuk meningkatkan akurasi.
