Abstract

This research aims to analyze: (1) the general characteristics of farmers who convert rubber land to oil palm plantations in Sungai Gelam District, and (2) the economic impact of this land conversion, particularly on farmers’ income. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey data collected from rubber and oil palm farmers. The results show that there are notable differences in farmer characteristics, including capital, labor use, and market access. The average income difference between rubber and oil palm farmers is IDR 2,712,000, indicating higher earnings from oil palm cultivation. Based on the BNT test, with a value of IDR 405,000, the average income difference exceeds the threshold, confirming that the difference is statistically significant. Furthermore, the calculated F value is greater than the F table value, which strengthens the conclusion that there is a significant difference in income between rubber and oil palm farmers. Therefore, land conversion contributes positively to farmers’ income improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of natural gas exports, investment, exchange rates, GDP, and natural gas export prices, as well as to analyze the effect of investment, exchange rates, GDP, and export prices on natural gas exports in Indonesia. This study uses descriptive and quantitative analysis methods. The data used are secondary data from 2000 to 2024. The data analysis technique used in this study is time series data analysis with a multiple linear regression econometric approach. The results of the study show that during the period 2000-2024, the average growth of natural gas exports decreased by -1.84 percent, while the average investment increased by 6,26 percent, the exchange rate by 2.58 percent, GDP by 8.61 percent, and export prices by 7,38 percent. The exchange rate variable has a significant negative effect on natural gas exports, while investment, GDP, and export prices have no significant effect on natural gas exports in Indonesia. Together, investment, exchange rate, GDP, and export prices have a significant effect on Indonesia's natural gas exports.

Abstract

The digital era has driven rapid growth in electronic commerce in Indonesia, particularly through marketplace platforms such as Shopee, Tokopedia, and TikTok Shop. Consumers often face uncertainty because they cannot physically inspect products, making social proof (in the form of reviews, ratings, testimonials, and recommendations) and online trust crucial factors influencing purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of social proof and online trust on consumer purchasing decisions in marketplaces using a qualitative approach based on library research (literature review). Previous or relevant research is essential in any study or scientific article, as it strengthens the theoretical foundation and the phenomenon of the relationships or influences between variables. This article reviews the factors influencing social proof and online trust on purchasing decisions through a marketing management literature study. The purpose of this marketing management literature review article is to develop hypotheses that can be used in future research. The results of this library research indicate: 1) The influence of social proof on purchasing decisions; 2) The influence of online trust on purchasing decisions; 3) The simultaneous influence of social proof and online trust on purchasing decisions; and 4) Theoretical and practical implications.

Abstract

Employee performance is a critical determinant of organizational success. Increasing job demands, inadequate self-regulation, and work-related stress can influence employee performance and contribute to work fatigue. This study examines the effects of job demands, self-regulation, and work stress on employee performance, with work fatigue serving as a mediating variable at PT BPR Tri Darma Putri in Klungkung Regency. Grounded in the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) framework, this quantitative study employed a saturation sampling technique involving 63 employees. Data were collected through surveys and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that job demands and work stress have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, indicating that these factors may encourage employees to achieve higher performance under certain conditions. In contrast, self-regulation does not directly affect employee performance. Work fatigue plays a mediating role in several relationships: it partially mediates the effect of job demands on performance, fully mediates the effect of self-regulation on performance, and does not mediate the relationship between work stress and performance. These findings highlight the importance of effectively managing workload, stress, and fatigue to maintain and improve employee performance.
