Abstract

Character cultivation has an important role in overcoming the problems that occur in the world of education today. It is often found in various schools that students arrive late to school. Apart from that, there are also disciplinary problems that need to be addressed. This research aims to determine the role of Islamic religious education subject teachers in forming students' character values of discipline and responsibility at MA Darul Ma'arif Payaman Solokuro Lamongan, as well as to find out what supporting and inhibiting factors are in forming students' character values of discipline and responsibility. at MA Darul Ma'arif Payaman Solokuro Lamongan. This type of research is qualitative research or descriptive research. Descriptive type using field study methods (field research). The main research informants were Islamic religious education teachers and students of MA Darul Ma'arif Payaman Solokuro Lamongan, while secondary data sources were obtained in the form of documentation that had been determined by the researcher. Data collection techniques used participatory observation, free guided interviews and documentation. Based on the analysis carried out by researchers, it can be concluded that the formation of an attitude of discipline and responsibility is carried out using several mechanisms or methods, such as (a) habituation (b) providing examples or role models (c) awareness or motivation (d) control and supervision and ( e) the existence of regulations and punishments. There are also supporting factors such as (a) commitment of teachers and staff, (b) implementation of school programs, (c) implementation of local content. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are (a) lack of student awareness, (b) low student interest in learning.

Abstract

This study is based on several problems found in class V.C students at MIMA 01 KH. Shiddiq Jember. The problem is related to the motivation of students in following the Al-Qur'an Hadith lessons which are less enthusiastic. As students admit that the Al-Qur'an Hadith is one of the subjects that is considered difficult. Therefore, it is necessary to use interesting learning media that can increase the enthusiasm of students in following the Al-Qur'an Hadith lessons. The media offered is a domino card on the subject of the letter at-Tin. This study aims to determine the results of the application of domino card learning media. Domino card learning media is a media to support quality learning, by using this domino card learning media as an alternative when learning is considered less interesting or monotonous. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations and documentation. This study found that domino card media can be a new breakthrough for educators to realize interesting and quality learning. The strategies that can be carried out by educators are three stages of activities, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation of the use of domino card media in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject on the material of the letter at-Tin.

Abstract

Learning Arabic grammar is often considered difficult by students because of its abstract and textual presentation, without the support of visualization or interactive media. Often teachers only rely on textbooks or blackboards, making the learning process monotonous and less interesting. This research aims to determine the use and effectiveness of power points in improving understanding of Arabic grammar at Al-Azhar Islamic Middle School Jember. Data collection methods include observation, unstructured interviews, tests (pre- and post-test), and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using normality, homogeneity and t tests using SPSS for Windows 25. The research results showed that the teaching process using  included steps such as introducing methods, presenting material, providing examples, discussions and practical exercises. The effectiveness of using Power Point was proven by the results of the normality test which showed normal data distribution in the experimental group (p=0.059) and control (p=0.092). The t test shows that the t value (4.507) is greater than the t table (1.68023), which means that the use of power point is effective in improving understanding of Arabic grammar at Al-Azhar Islamic Middle School Jember in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

The objectives of this research: To know the effectiveness of the teaching method Swish Max to improve the comprehension of Arabic sentences in the eighth grade at Nurul Falah Islamic Middle School, Lumajang for the academic year 2024/2025. The researcher used the quantitative research method with the experimental research type (Quasi Eksperimental Design). As for the data collection method, it was through tests, observation, interviews and documentation. In analyzing the data, the researcher used the descriptive statistical test, the normality test, the homogeneity test and the Independent Sample T-Test. In her analysis, the researcher was assisted by using the IBM SPSS Statistic 22 for Windows application.The result of this research: 1) Based on the results of teaching verbal and nominal sentences, using the teaching method Swish Max to improve the comprehension of Arabic sentences in the eighth grade at Nurul Falah Islamic Middle School Lumajang for the academic year 2024/2025 is effective. 2) In the nominal sentence in the Independent Sample T-Test, the result was T.History (2.283) and T.Table (2.010), with these results we know that T.History T.Table, therefore the optional hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. 3) In the verbal sentence in the Independent Sample T-Test, the result was T.History (2.126) and T.Table (2.010), with these results we know that T.History T.Table, therefore the optional hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.

Abstract

Leadership of the Principal as Supervisor in Improving the Professionality of Staff in Ra An-Nawaa 3 City of Cirebon. Principal is the most important factor in an educational institution, namely the school, from several principal tasks, namely supervising, managing, and controlling. The principal's job is to maintain the quality of the school so that it can compete and become a reference for finding new students. The task of the principal also requires several competent educational staff in the field of controlling school quality. Supervision is needed to increase the quality and performance of staff through supervision of schools in order to determine the ability of staff to develop school quality. This study uses the theory of supervision consisting of GROWME Goal, Reality, Option, Way forward, Monitoring, and Evaluation. To see staff performance using staff theory with indicators of promotion, further study, staff observations when carrying out work, individual meetings, visits between institutions. This study aims to describe the role of the principal as a supervisor in improving staff professionalism at RA An-Nawaa 3, Cirebon City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to develop research and the results of this study are to see that the staff's performance is good and can be developed again. The results of this study show that the implementation of supervisors in improving staff professionalism at RA An-Nawaa 3 carried out by the principal in developing staff professionalism has two ways of implementation, namely using meeting media and field discovery media in every aspect of staff professionalism.

Abstract

In today’s digital era, reality can be replaced by representations that are considered more real than reality itself. In the context of Islam, this phenomenon occurs when religious symbols and worship practices no longer refer to authentic meanings, but instead become objects of cultural and media consumption. This article aims to analyze how the concepts of simulacra and hyperreality work in the Islamic realm by examining concrete examples of popular religious phenomena on social media and how Islam views these phenomena. This article shows that in today's digital era, the religious experience of Muslims is often more influenced by images and representations than by the underlying spiritual substance. Based on the values contained in the verses of the Qur'an and the hadith, Muslims must be able to be critical and wise and carry out authentic religious practices (attached to the meaning of religion that should be). This research primarily focuses on theoretical analysis. Future research could utilize qualitative or quantitative methods to explore in more depth how simulacra and hyperreality actually shape the religious patterns of Muslim communities and how Islamic educational strategies can respond to these phenomena.

Abstract

The integration of the Pancasila Student Profile with Rahmatan Lil ’Alamin values is considered strategic for fostering holistic character, combining the nation’s ideological foundation with universal religious values. This study explores the transformation of school culture into a character-building ecosystem through the integration of the Pancasila Student Profile and Rahmatan lil ’Alamin values. By combining the ideological foundation of Pancasila with universal Islamic teachings, the school implements character education programs encompassing routine religious activities and contextual learning practices. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, the research was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation to examine the effectiveness of program implementation. The findings indicate that, despite challenges such as limited facilities and infrastructure, SMP Ma’arif 1 Ponorogo has successfully developed a supportive learning environment that fosters students’ moral integrity, inclusiveness, and holistic character. This study emphasizes the significance of integrating national and religious values in school culture as a sustainable strategy to cultivate quality learners who are not only rooted in local wisdom but also prepared to face global challenges. However, this study is limited by its qualitative scope, focusing only on a single school context, which may restrict the generalizability of the findings. Future research is recommended to involve broader samples and mixed methods to provide more comprehensive insights.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the urgent need to strengthen character education in response to the ongoing moral crisis in Indonesian society. The study focuses on KH. Soefyan Abdul Wahab's concept of character education as presented in the manuscript Pesan Hidup Sehari-hari. Employing an ekstem philological approach combined with critical discourse analysis, the research aims not only to restore the text but also to reveal the ideological and social dimensions underlying the narrative. Using qualitative library-based methods and semi-structured interviews for triangulation, data analysis follows stages of inventory, description, transliteration, text criticism, and discourse interpretation based on Fairclough’s CDA model. Findings demonstrate that KH. Soefyan’s character education integrates religious values, moral exemplarity, and social actualization, centered on sincerity, responsibility, independence, mutual cooperation, and integrity. The manuscript holds both historical value and contemporary pedagogical relevance as a contextual model for character education. The study’s limitation lies in focusing on a single manuscript, suggesting future comparative research with other pesantren texts and digitization initiatives to develop alternative educational resources.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of Ibnu Khaldun's philosophy of education in the development of the Islamic education curriculum in Indonesia, which continues to experience dynamics due to government curriculum policy changes. The method employed is a literature review and conceptual analysis of Ibnu Khaldun’s work, Muqaddimah, focusing on his educational concept that emphasizes the importance of social, economic, and political environments as well as the gradual integration of both worldly and religious knowledge. The study's findings reveal that Ibnu Khaldun's philosophy of education is highly relevant to the context of Islamic education in Indonesia, particularly in addressing the challenges of globalization and technological advancement. His approach, which prioritizes the integration of knowledge and the character development of students, offers a solution to the prevailing low spiritual and social attitudes among learners. This research contributes by providing a strong theoretical foundation for developing a more adaptive, relevant Islamic education curriculum that emphasizes moral and ethical formation, thereby enhancing the quality of Islamic education in line with contemporary developments.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the insertion of independent and creative values within the Islamic Religious Education and Character Education subject at SMP Cahaya Qur’an. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and observations related to activities that have been conducted. The findings indicate that the insertion of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila values in the Islamic Religious Education and Character Education subject is carried out through religious activities integrated within the boarding school system and implemented based on project-based learning involving the creation of digital works such as e-flyers and videos related to Islamic Religious Education and Character Education materials and attitudes of independence in activities like prayer, personal hygiene, self-management, and learning commitment. This study contributes to the development of educational models fostering independence and creativity in realizing the Pancasila Student Profile. Limitations of this study include its scope restricted to one school and a focus on only two values of the Pancasila Student Profile, thus the results cannot be widely generalized and further studies with larger samples and varied values are recommended.
