Abstract

TB disease is often associated with a slum environment. People who live in densely populated and poorly ventilated conditions are most likely to be infected. Environmental factors that can affect the incidence of pulmonary TB include ventilation in the room, humidity, temperature, lighting, type of floor, and the act of opening a window. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of ventilation and occupancy density with cross transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis in the family. This research is presented in the form of quantitative research with a correlational research design. While the approach used in this research is Cross Sectional. The population in this study was 60 respondents with a sample of 53 respondents. The sampling technique used in this study is total sampling. The results of the bivariate analysis with the Lambda test obtained a value of 0.003 <0.05 ie there is a relationship between ventilation and cross-transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis in the family. And also obtained a value of 0.001 <0.05, namely there is a relationship of residential density with the transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis in the family. The conclusion of this study is that if ventilation that does not meet the requirements is likely to not occur cross-pulmonary TB transmission in the family, while ventilation that meets the requirements can occur cross-pulmonary TB transmission in the family. If the density of occupancy does not meet the requirements, it is possible that there is no cross-transmission of pulmonary tuberculosis in the family, while occupancy density that occurs may occur cross-transmission of pulmonary TB in the family

Abstract

Early detection related to classification or activities to obtain information about pregnant women is very helpful in preparing for the control of the risk of pregnancy complications. Although the occurrence of preeclampsia cannot be completely prevented, its frequency can be reduced by making early detection. Non-compliance of pregnant women in antenatal care can cause various pregnancy complications not to be known so that they are not immediately addressed, so a health promotion strategy is needed with community empowerment efforts in this case is primigravida mothers. This allows the community and health workers to take adequate care and succeed in reducing maternal mortality. This study aims to analyze the empowerment of primigravida mothers for early detection of preeclampsia in Jember Regency. The research method used was Quasi Experimental Design with Pre-Post Test Control Group Design. The sample in this study was taken probability / random by cluster random sampling technique. The analysis is done univariately and bivariately. The results showed the average score of behavior change in the intervention group and the control group. In the Mann Whitney test results obtained p-value <0.05 so it can be concluded that the empowerment of primigravida mother programs significantly influence behavioral changes in early detection of preeclampsia. Primigravida mother empowerment program is effective in increasing pre-eclampsia early detection behavior so that this program is suggested to be applied to pregnant women as part of maternal and child health programs.

Abstract

One of the factors that influence compliance is individual motivation. There are still many pulmonary tuberculosis patients who do not wear masks, this can have an impact on disease transmission. Poor individual motivation can affect someone's compliance. The purpose of this research is to determine the relationship of patient motivation regarding prevention of transmission with adherence to the use of masks in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Rambipuji Health Center, Jember Regency. This research uses descriptive correlative type of research. In this study using a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study was taken using simple random sampling, namely pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the Rambipuji Health Center in Jember Regency, totaling 105 patients but only 50 patients were used as samples. This research was conducted by giving a questionnaire to pulmonary tuberculosis patients to find out the patient's motivation about preventing transmission by adhering to the use of masks. The results of the study were analyzed using the Lambda Correlation Test, the results of the analysis found that the motivation of patients was good motivation (22%), patient motivation was sufficient (56%), and patient motivation was less motivation (22%). Whereas adherence to the use of masks in pulmonary tuberculosis patients is compliant (36%), and non-compliant (64%). The Lambda Correlation Test results obtained from the variable compliance with ρ = 0.389 positive direction with a value of ρ count of 0.027 <0.05 which means there is a relationship between patient motivation about prevention of transmission with compliance with the use of masks in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in Rambipuji Health Center, Jember District. It is recommended that further studies be able to conduct more in-depth research related to the relationship of patient motivation regarding the prevention of transmission with adherence to the use of masks in pulmonary tuberculosis patients

Abstract

The increasing number of elderly causes problems, especially in terms of health and well-being of the elderly. The existence of the disease affects the condition of one's physical health which is one aspect that determines the quality of one's life. The disease that often affects the elderly is hyperuricemia and hypertension. The purpose of this study is to determine the close relationship between hyperuricemia and the incidence of hypertension in the elderly. The research design used was Observational Analytic with cross sectional approach. The sample amounted to 58 with sampling using random sampling techniques. Data collection method uses uris acid meter and sphygmomanometer then data is analyzed using Chi Square statistical test with Contingency Coefficient. The results of the analysis are the majority of respondents who have hyperuricemia with hypertension (73%), who have hyperuricemia but do not have hypertension (27%), who do not have hyperuricemia but have hypertension (23.8%), and who do not experience hyperuricemia and do not experience hypertension as much (76.2%) The results of the analysis of the two veriabels obtained p value = 0.001, cc = 0.529, and OR = 8.640. The conclusion in this study is that there is a fairly close relationship between hyperuricemia with the incidence of hypertension in the elderly at UPT PSTW Jember. Suggestions for health workers should increase the intensity of providing health education to the elderly through counseling, as well as checking for uric acid and blood pressure regularly.
