Utilizing qualitative methods, specifically document analysis, this study critically examines and gathers evidence from literature, focusing on tourism marketing documents published by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Findings reveal positive initiatives in Indonesia’s tourism marketing strategy, spanning domestic and international realms, emphasizing niche markets, robust communication strategies, and partnership initiatives, all contributing to the goal of quality tourism. Continuous evaluation is crucial for assessing strategy effectiveness and adapting to evolving market dynamics. Success hinges on accurate planning, sustainable development practices, and vigilant monitoring, underlining the importance of adapting to changing consumer trends and environmental considerations during 2025-2029. Future research should incorporate primary data collection and comparative analyses to integrate sustainable practices for a comprehensive approach to quality tourism.

Abstract

Pasir Padi Beach, located in Pangkalpinang City, Bangka Belitung Island Province, has become a major tourist destination by hosting various events that attract local and foreign tourists. This study aims to optimize event-based beach tourism at Pasir Padi Beach by analyzing social, economic, infrastructural, and cultural impacts. Data were gathered through interviews with the Pangkalpinang City Tourism Office, observations, and secondary sources. The findings indicate high community participation, enhanced social cohesion, and significant economic benefits for local MSMEs, with income increases of 60-80% during events. However, challenges such as inadequate community readiness, lack of market research, and suboptimal stakeholder synergy were identified. To address these challenges, a comprehensive strategy is proposed, including improving infrastructure, diversifying events, and integrating local cultural elements to balance tourism development and cultural preservation. Government support, combined with local community empowerment and strong stakeholder collaboration, is essential. Effective marketing strategies, utilizing social media and influencers, and the implementation of sustainable tourism practices are recommended to maximize economic benefits while preserving environmental and cultural integrity. In conclusion, with strategic improvements in infrastructure, event management, and stakeholder involvement, Pasir Padi Beach can become a model for sustainable event-based beach tourism, promoting economic growth, social cohesion, and cultural preservation. The study’s limitation is the reliance on a single informant from the Tourism Office, which may limit perspective diversity. Future research should involve a wider range of stakeholders, including MSMEs, youth groups, local artists, and private sector representatives, to provide a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate tourism development strategies in the Sungai Upang Conservation Area, located in Bangka Belitung Province, Indonesia. Sungai Upang is a tourist destination renowned for its rich biodiversity and natural landscapes, officially designated as a conservation area in 2017. The management of the Sungai Upang Conservation Area actively involves local community participation through organizations such as the Bangka Flora Society (a local environmental organization), Sahabat Alam Sungai Upang (Friends of Nature Sungai Upang), and Pokdarwis (Kelompok Sadar Wisata or Tourism Awareness Group), which promote sustainable tourism and environmental preservation. This study employed a qualitative research approach, utilizing in-depth interviews with key management personnel and direct site observations. The findings indicate that tourism development strategies in Sungai Upang focus primarily on promoting eco-tourism and conservation education. The local government and the State Electricity Company (Perusahaan Listrik Negara or PLN) have supported infrastructure and facility development in the area to increase tourist visits and enhance the economic welfare of the local community. However, the rising number of visitors has introduced potential risks and challenges that must be addressed. This study identified several risks, including environmental degradation, safety concerns, and management inefficiencies. To mitigate these risks, the study recommends implementing a comprehensive risk management system that includes the development of safety protocols, continuous environmental monitoring, and stronger community engagement in the management process. The findings of this study offer valuable insights for the sustainable development of tourism in the Sungai Upang Conservation Area and can serve as a reference for similar ecotourism contexts. Additionally, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the complex relationship between tourism development, environmental conservation, and risk management in ecologically sensitive destinations.

This study evaluates how effectively these policies are implemented and how they contribute to reducing corruption. From a legal perspective, the research analyzes the compliance of business ethics policies with applicable laws and regulations, including the effectiveness of legal sanctions for violations. It also identifies the strengths and weaknesses of law enforcement related to business ethics policies in banking financial institutions. From a managerial perspective, the study assesses the impact of business ethics policies on organizational culture and employee behavior. Additionally, it examines how these policies influence managerial decision-making, risk management, reputation, and public trust in banking financial institutions. While business ethics policies have a positive impact on reducing corruption, challenges in legal enforcement and managerial implementation persist, necessitating continuous improvements to enhance policy effectiveness. The findings of this study are expected to provide recommendations for improving business ethics policies and practices to strengthen integrity and compliance within banking financial institutions in Bangka Belitung.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of perceived comfort on eco-friendliness among Starbucks tumbler users in Bandung, with perceived attractiveness serving as a mediating factor. Employing a quantitative approach that integrates descriptive and verificative research methods, the study aims to examine both the direct and indirect effects of perceived comfort on eco-friendliness through perceived attractiveness. Primary data were collected via questionnaires distributed to 100 Starbucks tumbler users in Bandung. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that perceived comfort significantly influences eco-friendliness, both directly and indirectly, through perceived attractiveness. The implications of this research suggest that to enhance both environmental sustainability and product appeal, Starbucks and similar businesses should implement several strategies. These include diversifying payment methods (such as digital banking and e-commerce), ensuring that tumblers provide tangible practical benefits (such as temperature retention), and prioritizing ergonomic designs and eco-friendly materials to strengthen the product's market position. Ultimately, these measures will contribute to the development of more sustainable and appealing products, thereby fostering greater environmental awareness among consumers.
