Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of hedonic shopping motivation on compulsive buying. This research data collection method uses primary data. The population used in this research is consumers who have shopped at Transmart. This research uses purposive sampling technique while the sample size in this research is 170 respondents. This research model uses the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that shopping for ideas and social shopping have a positive effect on compulsive buying. Meanwhile, satisfaction seeking, adventure seeking, role shopping and shopping value do not have a significant effect on compulsive buying.

Abstract

MSME’s Barokah is a type of family business operating in the snack food sector which has been running for four years but there has been no significant turnover growth. The aim of this research is to determine the impact of logo rebranding and the use of digital marketing. The method used in this research is a case study with data collection through observation and interviews. Research results show that rebranding will attract consumer interest as well as provide an identity for the products that will be offered. Then, marketing using digital marketing can reach a wider market, so that more people know about this product. The implication of this research is to provide innovation related to creating a new logo as an identity for MSME Barokah products, as well as creating an Instagram for the official MSME Barokah account with the hope of increasing sales through promotion of snack products managed by MSME Barokah

Abstract

This research explores the role of Human Resources (HR) in education marketing in the Society 5.0 era, where HR has a crucial role in developing relevant and innovative marketing strategies. Using the qualitative research method of literature study, the research includes identifying key elements in the role of HR, determining scope boundaries, and selecting library sources through various trusted information sources. Analysis of findings was carried out using a thematic approach, organizing and analyzing findings from the literature to identify emerging patterns, trends and qualitative aspects. The research report compiles key concepts and a conceptual framework, detailing the role of HR in education marketing in the Society 5.0 era. It is hoped that this research will contribute to understanding the importance of human resources in the context of educational marketing which continues to develop.

Abstract

In the continually evolving digital era, social media plays a crucial role in influencing consumer behavior and decisions, particularly in the tourism sector. Blitar Park, as a recreational destination in Blitar, East Java, experiences significant impacts from the penetration of social media. With diverse facilities and activities, Blitar Park must leverage social media as an effective marketing tool to attract more visitors. Social media has become a vital source of information, and understanding how social media content influences visitor decisions is key. This research identifies effective types of social media content in capturing the attention and interest of the public to visit Blitar Park. The study employs a qualitative method with observations and literature reviews to delve into the meanings and characteristics of social media usage at Blitar Park. Insight analysis from social media platforms provides an overview of visitor responses to published content. The research findings indicate that Blitar Park has successfully utilized social media, but a decline in content publication consistency led to a performance decrease in certain months. Consistency in publication, diverse content types, and more active engagement with visitors are essential elements for enhancing the effectiveness of marketing through social media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze differences in Abnormal Return, Trading Volume activity and stock prices before and after the announcement of mergers and acquisitions in public listed banking companies on the IDX in the 2018-2022 period. The study population consists of 42 banking companies that have been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The purposive sampling method was used to select the sample, which eventually consisted of 11 banks that carried out mergers and acquisitions between 2018-2022. This study applies an event study with Wilcoxon signed rank test covering 30 days before 30 days after the announcement of mergers and acquisitions. The results of this study showed that of the 11 banks studied, only 1 bank had significant differences in abnormal variables and 6 banks had a significant difference in the trading activity volume variable and overall banking had a significant difference in the stock price variable. This research is expected to be used as reference material for future research and used for investment practitioners.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence between bank-specific factors and macroeconomic factors on banking profit growth in Indonesia. The population in this study were all banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015-2022, namely 47 banking sector companies with a research sample of 9 companies. Using a panel data approach, this study places bank-specific factors and macroeconomic factors as independent variables consisting of return on assets (ROA), loans to deposit ratio (LDR), non-performing loans (NPL), inflation, interest rates and exchange rates. Data was collected from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Bank Indonesia and BPS. The results showed that ROA has a significant positive effect on profit growth. LDR has no effect on profit growth and NPL has a significant negative effect on profit growth. Inflation has a significant positive effect on profit growth while interest rates and exchange rates have no effect on profit growth.

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) merupakan tanggung jawab sosial yang harus dilakukan oleh perusahaan di Indonesia sesuai regulasi pemerintah dan tindakan perusahaan dalam memberdayakan masyarakat dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup serta lingkungan masyarakat yang dapat meningkatkan citra perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Surabaya Barat untuk meningkatkan citra perusahaan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif bersifat deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, dokumentasi, observasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Pada teknik analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data Model Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, strategi Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) yang dilakukan oleh PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Surabaya Barat yakni Program Light Up The Dream, Program Desa Tematik, Kampung PLN Mobile (Duta PLN Mobile), dan Program YBM PLN UP3 Surabaya Barat. Secara keseluruhan program CSR PT PLN UP3 Surabaya Barat berperan dalam peningkatan citra perusahaan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Surabaya Barat is a PLN unit tasked with distributing electricity. As a customer service implementation unit, PLN UP3 Surabaya Barat also provides maximum service in implementing customer service. The purpose of this research is to determine the application of the PLN Mobile application in improving employee performance and service towards customer satisfaction. The method used is qualitative research using interviews and literature review observations. Interviews were conducted with employees of PLN UP3 Surabaya Barat and several customers who use the PLN Mobile application. For PLN UP3 Surabaya Barat employees, the PLN Mobile application is very helpful in performance because it is effective in serving customers and saves time. The existence of these digital applications is useful in facing current digitalization competition. Apart from that, the assessment of the PLN Mobile application also received a positive response from customers, because it has features that are easy to access and use and also provide great efficiency in carrying out electricity transactions, complaints and submitting new installations or additional power.

Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) has the responsibility to serve the community's needs for electricity, so that every customer has the right to good service. One way that can be done to improve service quality in this digital era is to utilize digital communication, because digital communication can make it easier to convey information and speed up information between problem service officers and customers so that it can influence customer satisfaction. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach with library research data collection techniques (Library Research) with research sources derived from books, scientific journals, literature and publications. The conclusion of this research is that digital communication facilities via the PLN Mobile application are widely used by customers. This application can improve the quality of customer service. This can also provide effective communication options. However, there are several challenges in utilizing digital communication facilities such as the PLN Mobile application, namely the need for a larger server capacity to store data, there are some service personnel who are less skilled in using this application, and geographical location is an obstacle due to the weakening of the communication system.

Abstract

The high level of poverty in West Java is a significant obstacle in the context of economic development efforts in this province. The problem of poverty is a serious focus that must be addressed by regional governments, considering that this reflects the level of community welfare at the regional level. The negative impacts of poverty show significant variations, include serious social problems, and have the potential to affect development progress in a region or country. This analysis uses panel data analysis, which is a combination of cross section and time series data. There are 3 methods used to estimate panel data regression analysis models, namely: Random Effect Model, Fixed Effect Model, and Common Effect Mode. Test methods such as the Chow test, Hausman test, and Lagrange Multiplier test. Then a classical assumption test is carried out and ends with a hypothesis test. The regional minimum wage (UMR) partially has a probability of 0.000 which is lower than 0.10 and the calculated t value of the regional minimum wage variable is greater than the t table value (5.413282 > 2.05183), indicating that the regional minimum wage has a positive and significant influence towards reducing poverty levels in West Java Province. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis show a coefficient value of -3.045716, indicating that there is a significant negative influence between the human development index (HDI) and the poverty level in West Java Province
